5 things a ETS driver needs to know

(1) Time Schedule

  • Use the ETS tool personal schedule. You will find your personal race schedule for the day. The data will be updated every 10 min. Find it here: https://www.ets.racing/pt/
  • For every ETS race, you can find the time schedule on MyRCM: https://www.myrcm.ch/myrcm/main?pLa=de&dFi=vienna&dId[E]=83792 Which is the software we use for our races.
  • BUT always listen to announcements when you are at the track as the time schedule can change at any time!

(2) Tires, Motors, Payment

  • Tire&Motors thursday morning: The event officially starts with practice on Thursday morning. However, we (mostly) have the option for you to pick up your practice tires, handout motors, or rental speedos on Wednesday evening. You can pick up your stuff at the service area where Uwe, Jutta, and Malu will wait for you.
  • Practice tires: On Thursday you only get practice tires and not your race tires. You can use as many practice tires as you like and you can bring your own tires, or collect the practice tires you have ordered together with your entry in MyRCM. Only the ETS tires according to the rules are allowed to use, no practice – no tires from other brands.
  • Race tires: Normally we hand out race tires on Friday
  • The payment for your practice tires, race tires, and/or rental ESC will be done on Sunday and is possible in Cash (Euro €) only!

(3) Tire additive and brake cleaner

  • On Thursday, you need to use your own additive (MR33 only) and your own brake cleaner (Würth if possible).
  • On Friday we will start to provide the handout additive and brake cleaner according to the ETS rules. We will put brake cleaner (Würth) on every table (one can for 4 persons) and the additive gets placed in the clearly marked tire saucing areas.
  • The additive is the same for ALL classes. We just separate F1 and touring additive bottles on the tables to prevent the sponges of the bottles from getting in contact with both, foam and rubber tires, for more consistency.
  • If you arrive by plane and without a chance to bring your own brake cleaner, please contact the ETS crew and we will help you out with cleaner for Thursday.
  • Everybody who will arrive from the European mainland by car please make sure you have everything you need for Thursday practice!

(4) Body Shell marking and Software checks

  • Body Shell marking & check: on Thursday we’ll check your body shell and mark if you are racing in the FWD class or in 40+ Masters and 21.5 Stock touring cars. Only 0,7mm body shells are allowed to be used in these classes and Patrick Beck and Oliver Storm from the ETS crew will check and mark your body shells.
  • After Thursday we will check only new body shells
  • You will see the start and end time of the body shell marking process in the time schedule, so please make sure to get this task done on Thursday. From the start of seeding practice, you can ONLY use marked body shells.
  • Software checks: Make sure that you have installed the correct software and that you are using the correct values and parameters. You can come to check your software on Thursday at any time. It is your responsibility to race legally.
  • We will do software checks during the weekend without announcing them ahead of time.

(5) Drivers Meeting

  • There will be NO drivers meeting at the track. Due to the high numbers of entries and a very close time schedule
  • Instead of this we will send a digital driver’s meeting document to all racers via email. This document will be also provided here on the website and contains all the important information about the race itself, technical inspection, marshalling, specials, and so on. Please make sure to read the drivers meeting document as it is always important to update yourself with important facts just before the race.
