Pole Position for Mugen Seiki and Völker

Orlowski loses close battle for overall TQ against Völker by 0.104

Ronald Völker will start from the best spot on the grid when we will head into the triple A-Mains with A1 later today. Völker took the win in Q4 with his LRP powered Mugen Seiki MTC-3 and was able to outpace the Schumacher car of Michal Orlowski by one tenth of a second.

Orlowski was very close to the overall TQ (fastest lap of the heat 15.260) but he will line up second on the grid now. Dominic Greiner had a great run in Q4 where he would finish in third place ahead of Simon Lauter and Sören Sparbier.

We knew that Jaroslav Kriz Jun. has a lot of talent and potential, but maybe most people did not expect him to TQ the event here in Austria. When he added another TQ run in Q4, the pole position was sealed for him and the Xray team. A really impressive performance from the Slovakian youngster.

Adam Izsay finished second behind Kriz Jun. in Q4 and was followed by the Mugen of Sören Sparbier, with the top three only separated by eight tenths of a second.

Ollie Bultynck and Jan Ratheisky completed the top 5 in the last qualifier. Finals will be up next and Jaroslav Kriz Jun. will be under a lot of pressure with all the big names lining up behind him!

Anderson snatches last second TQ from Ehrbar and Stankowitz

Mister EAM, Eric Anderson from the United States of America, will start on pole position into the finals. Q4 of the Master’s class was a dog-fight between Ehrbar, Stankowitz, and Anderson. Stankowitz had a great pace but a bigger mistake at half-time of the race ended his hopes for the overall TQ.

David Ehrbar and Eric Anderson had been on a very similar pace for the entire run and the lead changed many times on the scoring board. In the last lap, Anderson took the lead from Ehrbar once again to take the win by the small gap of 0.3 seconds over Ehrbar. The result from Q4 handed the TQ over to Anderson and the Awesomatix team in the very last minute.

Manuel Stankowitz (Mugen Seiki) will start second on the grid, and David Ehrbar missed the pole position this time lining up third for Xray. After this set of qualifying rounds, we can expect some great races in the finals form all these guys!
