A2– The second A-Main was like “Merry Christmas” for Lucas Urbain!
After the start, Ronald Völker`s Mugen car got loose in the first corner and collected Marc Rheinard`s Awesomatix car as Marc could not avoid to hit Völker anymore. Tim Wahl and Michele Manzo took over second and third place while Völker and Rheinard dropped back to the end of the field. Lucas Urbain took the win and his second ever ETS victory with a huge gap of 5 seconds after the huge carnage behind him. He was awaiting a hard fight, but in the end, it was a (well-deserved) walk in the park for the Awesomatix factory driver. Congratulations to Lucas Urbain and the Awesomatix team!

A3– In the third and last A-Main of the Matrix Modified class, the fight for second and third overall was going on between Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard. Marc would have needed to win ahead of Völker to snatch second place away from the Mugen driver, but Völker delivered and won A3 ahead of Rheinard, Prümper, Krapp, and Wahl. The overall result was: Urbain, Völker, Rheinard, Wahl, and Prümper.

Izsay holds off a hard charging Bultynck to win ETS RD4 in Germany
A2– Olivier Bultynck was on a mission in the second final of the Awesomatix Pro Stock class. He was all over Adam Izsay for the entire five minutes of the race and they were putting on an amazing show of respectful and very close racing. In lap 6, Ollie Bultynck tried to put a move on Izsay but the Hungarian racer was able to stay ahead coming onto the straightway. Ollie Bultynck was never giving up and was hoping for Izsay to make a mistake but that did never happen and Izsay celebrated a more than well-deserved race win by 0.2 of a second from Bultynck. Lukas Ellerbrock, Jan Ratheisky, and Enrico Jung finished third, fourth, and fifth in A2. Congratulations to Adam Izsay and Xray for another race win in the Pro Stock class!

A3– In the last leg of our Pro Stock A-Mains, the fight was for second and third place overall between Olivier Bultynck and Lukas Ellerbrock. The Awesomatix duo was leading the race and Ellerbrock was pushing really hard behind Bultynck. But the racer from Belgium made no mistake and took the win in A3 from his team mate. The final result saw Izsay, Bultynck, Ellerbrock, Jung, and Ratheisky finishing in the top 5.

Izsay survives critical moment in A2 and wins FWD class in Hann. Münden
A2- Adam Izsay had another perfect start off the line, leading the field around the first laps. Everybody else was driving clean as well in the first minute and not a lot happened. After 2 minutes, it looked like Stankowitz was able to close the gap to Izsay a little bit, but Adam responded immediately with some hot laps.
Lap 10 was bringing the race back to live as Izsay was hitting a curb after the timing loop allowing Stankowitz to be all over him for some corners. Izsay quickly found back into his rhythm and checked out again. Phil Langner was creating pressure on Stankowitz in the last laps of the race, but Manuel was able to stand his ground taking second place behind a well-deserved race winner Adam Izsay who is now super close to win this season`s overall championship.
A3- After Adam Izsay already sealed the victory in A2 he was only watching the race from the sideline. It was all about Manuel Stankowitz to lead the drivers into the last final from the first spot on the grid. Stankowitz saw young Phil Langner and Adam Southgate following him in striking distance for most of the run, but the gaps remained the same and Stankowitz took the win and also second on the podium, joined by Phil Langner in third place!

Dreams come true as Baggendorf celebrates first ever ETS win
A2– After the sound of the tone, second place starter Manuel Stankowitz was chasing the ARC car of TQ Torsten Baggendorf around the track with his Iris ride. Toni Mateo was sitting in third place, some meters behind the leaders. After 2 minutes, Torsten Baggendorf saw Manuel Stankowitz disappearing from his rear-view mirror after a driving error from the reigning champion. Toni Mateo and Michel Zierold took over second and third place, but out front the stage was set for Torsten Baggendorf`s first ever ETS win which he celebrated with all his friends while coming down the drivers stand. Congratulations Torsten, you are a member of the ETS race winners club now!
A3- Manuel Stankowitz was in control of the third A-Main and took the win from start to finish ahead of Toni Mateo and Michel Zierold. However, after Stankowitz had two bad results from A1 and A2, his win in A3 would only bring him to fifth place overall in the end. The result from A3 brought Toni Mateo (2) and Michel Zierold (3) onto the podium beside race winner Torsten Baggendorf here at ETS RD4 in Germany.

Langner becomes one of the youngest ever ETS race winners at the Transworld Hotel in Hann. Münden
A2– The second A-Main started in the same way as A1 did yesterday evening. Phil Langner and Tristan Bergheim were checking out early in the race. Jan Petersen passed Nadine Zühlke and moved up to third place. After three minutes, Phil Langner`s gap was at 2 seconds and it didn`t look like Bergheim had the pace to come closer. Phil Langner drove a perfect race in A2 and took his first ETS race win under the applause of the audience. Well done Phil, it was your weekend and you did an amazing job!
Championship leader Tristan Bergheim took another second place in A2 and his goal in A3 will be to secure this position on the podium beside race winner Phil Langner to cement his lead in the fight for the overall title.
A3- The last A-Main took place without race winner Phil Langner and it was Tristan Bergheim who took the win ahead of Jan Petersen, Nadine Zühlke, and Tobias Baumbach. Championship leader Bergheim joined race winner Phil Langner and third placed Jan Petersen on the podium, while Nadine Zühlke finished fourth overall which was a great result for her.

Back in the victory lane as Ratheisky wins the Formula class!
A2– David Ehrbar made a great pass on Jan Ratheisky in lap 4, but Jan took back the place directly. Stiebler also in the fight for the lead in the early stages of A2. After Jan Ratheisky lost his car at the 2-minute mark of the race, which brought Michal Wojcik to the top of the field. David Ehrbar was chasing him down and made a good pass on Wojcik to take over the lead which he was able to maintain till the end. Robert Kampehl, Michal Wojcik, Andreas Stiebler, and Jan Ratheisky completed the top 5. The decision for the overall race win was shifted to A3.
A3– David Ehrbar had a real shot for the win before he made a mistake in the last minute of the race. He was all over the back of Jan Ratheisky in the first 4 minutes and everybody was waiting for something to happen as Ehrbar had the fastest car on track. But after Ehrbar`s Xray car flew off the track, Ratheisky just needed to survive the last minute ahead of second laced Andreas Stiebler. Jan Ratheisky did a masterful job and brought home the win in A3 which earned him the overall victory in the Formula class.

Magical first A-Main at the ETS, Modified racing at its best, Urbain wins from pole!
The first A-Main of the Matrix Modified class was a great display of our sport. The top three drove like on rails and the spectators watched the race with great enthusiasm. Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix) had a good start from his pole position and Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki) and Marc Rheinard (Awesomatix) followed him in a couple of tenths.

All three drivers drove precise, clean, consistent, and without any mistake. Ronald Völker said after the race that he felt “like in a sandwich” as he could not try to attack to the front because of Marc being right on his rear bumper too. Rheinard said that he felt like “having the quickest car without a real chance to overtake”, and Lucas Urbain reported that he “will need the whole evening to recover from this race”.

Xray driver Izsay unstoppable on Saturday evening
Olivier Bultynck had a bad start behind top qualifier Adam Izsay. He immediately lost his second position to Lukas Ellerbrock while Izsay had some breathing room to drive a very clean and focused race out front. The Awesomatix duo of Ellerbrock and Bultynck had a nice and clean battle for second and third place while Jan Ratheisky and Enrico Jung were fighting for P4 and P5. In the end, Adam Izsay made no mistakes and took the win in the first final of the Awesomatix Pro Stock class.

Izsay takes A1 from pole in front of Stankowitz and Langner
After a slightly delayed start (fixing Baggendorfs car), top qualifier Adam Izsay was leading away with Manuel Stankowitz following in the slipstream. Phil Langner was holding his third position and defended it against Henrik Heitsch and Adam Southgate.
While Izsay was still leading, Phil Langner came a little closer to the car of Manuel Stankowitz in front of him. But after 3 minutes, the gaps between the top three looked like frozen and nothing happened anymore until the end of the race.
Adam Izsay took a well-deserved win and brought a perfect Saturday to an end. Manuel Stankowitz and Phil Langner took second and third place away from A-Main number one!

Baggendorf wins A1 after clinic drive
After the start, Manuel Stankowitz car broke down in the first corner with a faulty spur gear – he had to retire from the race before it really began. TQ Torsten Baggendorf was leading the race and Toni Mateo took over second position. Mateo gave all he had but “Totti” Baggendorf was having a brilliant race and took the well-deserved win in A1. If he can repeat this in one of the remaining two finals on Sunday, he will win his first ever ETS race. The rest of the field will throw everything they have at him and Baggendorf needs to stay calm overnight. Simon Schindler finished third in A1 and behind him we saw a fright train of cars showing great driving as well. Well done you 40+ Masters 😊

Totally ripped off – Langner wins Saturday evening A1
After a clean start, Phil Langner and Tristan Bergheim had been pulling away immediately from the rest of the field. Tristan was following Phil very close and tried to set him under serious pressure. Both drove a brilliant race and made no mistakes. It was a pure joy to watch, and the audience was full of applause as Phil Langner crossed the line after five minutes. Tristan Bergheim lost a little bit of time in the end as a backmarker was not opening up quick enough. Jan Petersen, Nadine Zühlke, and Florian Müller rounded out the top 5 in the first Orca 21.5 Stock A-Main.

Ratheisky and Ehrbar crossing the line side by side…
Jan Ratheisky brought the field around the first laps from pole position with David Ehrbar and Andreas Stiebler right in tow. All three cars stayed together for the first three minutes before Stiebler was trying to put a pass on Ehrbar. Nothing happened, but Ratheisky took the chance to stretch his legs a bit and pulled away from them.
Ehrbar was not giving up and came back to 0.5 of a second in the last minute of the race again. In the last lap he was all over Ratheisky before a backmarker landed in front of them on the track. Both (luckily) could drive around and Ehrbar and Ratheisky crossed the finish line on a photo finish with a gap of only 0.110 of a second. That was one of the best Formula A-Mains since a long time!

Q3 + Q4 Report, ETS RD4 Season #16 2023/24
Qualifying is over here at ETS RD4 Season #16 2023/24 at the Transworld Hotel Auefeld in Hann. Münden. The first leg of A-Mains will take place now, and after some very close qualifyings, we are expecting some thrilling races in the city of Hann. Münden at ETS RD4.

Clean sweep for Urbain who will start ahead of Völker and Rheinard
Q3 – It was another TQ run for Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix) going on in Q3 of the Matrix Modified class. All drivers were fully sending their cars around the track, and it was spectacular to watch as always.
In the first minute, Yokomo`s Christopher Krapp was on top of the board before Lucas Urbain moved back to the top – followea2qd by Ronald Völker who had not the best first minute on track. But Ronald was picking up pace again and tried everything to catch Lucas. He took another second place overall after the intense five-minute run. Marc Rheinard was also touching a curb here and there and third place was the best he could get out of an imperfect run. It is the first “Indoor TQ” for Lucas Urbain at the ETS and we are already excited to see him starting from the sweet spot in A1 which will take place later today!
Q4 – In the ultimate round of Modified qualifying, Lucas Urbain took another win making it a so called “clean sweep”. But what looked like a walk in the park on paper, was a lot of work to do for Urbain and his Awesomatix A800R. Marc Rheinard and Christopher Krapp were leading the race in the beginning, before Yannic Prümper appeared on top of the timing screen. It was a super close fight and P2 on the grid was the price to win.
But before anybody could snatch P2 away from Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker, it was again Urbain who took the win ending all the hopes of Prümper to climb up the ladder. Marc Rheinard flew off the track in the last 30 seconds of the race and was out of contention as well. The first A-Main will be on the line this evening and everybody is locked and loaded.

Ellerbrock and Bultynck to hunt TQ Izsay in triple A-Mains
Q3 – Olivier Bultynck was the winner of Q3 with his Awesomatix A800R and was keeping his chances for the pole position alive. However, it was a super close heat of Pro Stock qualifying in which Adam Izsay was leading before he flipped his X4-2024 once and lost important time. Jan Ratheisky, Olivier Bultynck, and Lukas Ellerbrock battled it out until the last lap where Bultynck had the advantage of 0.1 seconds over Ratheisky. With the decision for TQ shifted to Q4, it was Olivier Bultynck who needed to set a faster overall time as the current fastest time of Adam Izsay if he wanted to steal the pole position away from the Xray driver.
Q4 – The last round of Pro Stock qualifying saw a much-improved Lukas Ellerbrock taking the win ahead of Bultynck and Ratheisky. This result handed the TQ over to Izsay who will see Bultynck and Ellerbrock in his rear-view mirror on the starting grid later this evening. Jan Ratheisky and Enrico Jung (missed Thursday practice!) will line up in fourth and fifth place.

Showdown for pole position in Q4 – Izsay grabbed it!
Q3 – Xray`s Adam Izsay was the fastest driver in the top heat of the Hobbywing Frontwheel class. Manuel Stankowitz (Iris) posted the second fastest time out of the second fastest heat again. Phil Langner (Awesomatix), Andreas Myrberg (Iris), and Henrik Heitsch (AR) rounded out the top 5. The showdown for pole position was going to happen between Stankowitz and Izsay in Q4 with a clear advantage for Izsay who already had two TQ runs to his favour (including the fastest overall time)
Q4 – After Manuel Stankowitz was not able to beat Adam Izsay`s best runtime in the second fastest group, the decision for the overall TQ was already made before Adam Izsay started into his last heat of FWD qualifying at the Transworld Hotel. However, Adam did not slow down and posted another win to show that he is the man to beat in the finals. Manuel Stankowitz will line up second on the grid with the new Iris car and Phil Langner also made it into the top 3. Henrik Heitsch and Adam Southgate rounded out overall the top 5 in qualifying and we are already looking forward to the finals where we expect some nice battles throughout the field.

Baggendorf to start on pole position after Mateo binned Q4 while leading
Q3 – After Toni Mateo had taken Q2, Torsten Baggendorf was back on top of the game in the third 40+ Masters qualifier. Torsten Baggendorf and Manuel Stankowitz had an amazing battle for the win in this heat driving in a couple of tenths all the time. In the end, the ARC driver Baggendorf had the better ending with 0.15 of a second. The decision for the overall TQ came down to the line in Q4.
Q4 – Torsten “Totti” Baggendorf is your overall top qualifier at ETS RD4 in Germany. He took the first two qualifiers which had been enough for him to claim the best spot on the grid. Toni Mateo from Gran Canaria was the only driver with a chance to steal the TQ away from Baggendorf in Q4, but after Mateo made a huge mistake in the infield section after overtaking Baggendorf (who let him enough space), it was clear that the pole position was save for Baggendorf. Bad luck for Mateo, but is was an unlucky race incident. Congratulations for your first ETS TQ “Bagge”! The top 5 on the starting grid of the 1up Racing 40+ Masters class are: Baggendorf (TQ), Stankowitz, Mateo, Zierold, and Schindler!

Langner seals first ETS pole position of his very young career
Q3 – Cool like an ice cube – that is probably the best way to describe the performance of young Phil Langner. With his third TQ run in a row, he sealed the pole position for the finals. What a great success for the young and very talented racer. Tristan Bergheim, his hardest competitor this weekend, dropped down in the middle of the run after a small mistake. Nadine Zühlke took second place for the run (how cool is that), and Tobias Baumbach finished in third place. The whole ETS crew likes to congratulate Phil Langner for his first ETS TQ – well done Phil!
Q4 – Nothing new at the top as Phil Langner continued to win. Tristan Bergheim finished second again and will start directly behind Langner into the triple A-Mains. Nadine Zühlke secured herself a great third place on the grid with Jan Petersen and Tobias Baumbach right behind.

Pole position for Xray`s very strong Ratheisky
Q3 – Jan Ratheisky has finally claimed a pole position again in the ToniSport Formula class. After winning all the first three qualifiers, his Xray car will roll into the first box on the grid for the triple A-Mains. Behind TQ Ratheisky, the fight for the positions is still alive and David Ehrbar (Xray) has the best chances to grab second place on the grid so far. Michal Wojcik and Andreas Stiebler were sitting in P3 and P4 before the last round of qualifying started!
Q4 – In the last round of Formula qualifying, Jan Ratheisky was not driving to “save his car for the finals”. David Ehrbar took full advantage and won the round. He will start second on the grid behind Ratheisky. Andreas Stiebler, Michal Wojcik, and Robert Kampehl booked themselves positions three to five on the grid for the triple A-Mains!

Mugen Seiki factory driver Ronald Völker is rocking his MTC-2R at ETS RD4 in Hann. Münden. As always, his car is powered by LRP Batteries and a LRP ESC/Motor combo, and Ronald is using the FlySky Noble Pro radio together with his well approved Highest servo. In terms of option parts, his MTC-2R features the two piece topdeck from Mugen Seiki, progressive springs and the bypass shock bodies in the front, the Mugen LCG brass shorty battery mounts, and some general balancing weights.

The second round of qualifying is now completed after the schedule had split it into two sections from Friday evening to Saturday morning. Two more rounds will follow to find out who will make into the big show here at the Transworld Hotel Auefeld in Hann. Münden.

Two in a row as Urbain wins Q2 on Saturday morning
Lucas Urbain seems to be on a mission here at ETS RD4 in Germany. With a gap of 1,7 seconds (!) ahead of second placed Marc Rheinard, he scored maximum points again. Rheinard` s second place was a close one as he had Christopher Krapp and Jan Ratheisky in a couple of tenths behind him after five minutes. Krapp lost some time as a slightly slower car was not opening for him as quicky as it should have – that costed Krapp a possible P2 for the round.
Lucas Urbain is very close to seal his first TQ on carpet at the ETS while Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard are sitting in second and third place after two rounds of matrix Modified qualifying.

Izsay on top of the board in Q2 again – great performance of new Xray car with a 1-2
After Adam Izsay took the opening round of qualifying yesterday, it was another TQ run for the “all new” Xray X4-2024 by the quick Hungarian racer. He had a perfect run and took the round from his teammate Jan Ratheisky, with the Awesomatix of Lukas Ellerbrock in third place. Izsay is now very close to seal the overall TQ – can he do it in the next round?

Izsay fights back and takes early morning Q2
Adam Izsay has taken the second round of FWD qualifying on Saturday morning. Manuel Stankowitz posted a fast overall time in the second fastest group again, and it was only Adam Izsay who was able to beat the time in the top heat. Henrik Heitsch took third place for the round and Adam Southgate and Daniel Pöhlmann completed the top 5. The fight for TQ is wide open with the best chances for Izsay and Stankowitz who are both having a one and two on their score card now!
1up Racing 40+ Masters (Friday evening)
Mateo wins second Masters qualifier and joins battle for pole position
In the 1up Racing 40+ Masters class, Toni Mateo from Gran Canaria had the better ending in a real thriller. The top 4 drivers Mateo, Stankowitz, Zierold, and Baggendorf crossed the finish line within 0.450 of a second – that was Masters class racing at it`s best! The overnight rankings in the Masters class had seen Mateo, Baggendorf, Stankowitz, Zierold, and Thalheimer in the top 5.

Langner again in Q2 after Bergheim got hit by a backmarker
In the second round of Orca 21.5 Stock qualifying, it was again Phil Langner who came down the driver stand with a win in his pocket. It was another close fight with Tristan Bergheim, but after Bergheim got taken out by a backmarker, Langner took an easy win. Nadine Zühlke finished on a great second place in Q2, followed by Tobias Baumbach in third place.

Ratheisky absolutely on point in Q2 – Ehrbar took second again
Jan Ratheisky was on point one more time in the second round of ToniSport Formula qualifying. David Ehrbar was pushing hard over the whole runtime, but had to settle for second place another time. Jan Ratheisky is only one TQ run away from sealing the overall pole position. Can anybody stop one of the best Formula racers in RC?
Under the Hood – Marc Rheinard`s Awesomatix A800R
We had the Awesomatix A800R of multiple IFMAR World Champion Marc Rheinard in front of our camera at ETS RD4 in Hann. Münden, GER. Marc has installed all power components such as ESC, Motor, and Battery from his long time electronics sponsor ORCA. He is also using his FlySky Noble Pro radio system in combination with a S15 servo from PowerHD.
A super light 0,4mm Twister Speciale body shell is mounted on his racecar. In terms of option parts, the car is equipped with the aluminum MR33 spool and diff pulleys for maximum efficiency (MR33-AWE-DP-A and MR33-AWE-SP-A) as well as a carbon bumper plate from Awesomatix.

Under the Hood – Matthias Drummer`s MTS V2 / SNRC
German racer Mathias Drummer is at the ETS for the very first time with his friends from Team Undercover. Matthias is racing in the Orca 21.5 Stock class, and it seems that he is having a real good time in Hann. Münden. We took the chance to look at the MTS V2 / SNRC touring car of Matthias. The car is one of the rarer cars at the ETS, but the Team Undercover drivers are doing a good job to show how it works on track. Matthias has equipped his car with a special LCG kit to lower the center of gravity for a better performance, especially on carpet.
