Q4 Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

Qualifying is over in Aigen-Schlägl. It was a demanding day for all the racers with the rain interruption in the morning and some changing track conditions during the day. One round of lower mains will take place this evening with the rest of the finals and all A-Mains on the line on Sunday.

Coelho laying down first 21 lap run of the weekend in Q4

After Schumacher`s Michal Orlowski had already sealed the TQ, it was Bruno Coelho who impressed massively in Q4 with the first 21 lap run of the weekend. Coelho secured the second place on the grid and will be the hardest contender for Michal Orlowski in the triple A-Mains on Sunday.  Simon Lauter was still on a high in Q4 where he finished second. He will start behind Orlowski and Coelho which “sometimes is the best place to be”.

Marc Rheinard (Awesomatix), Eric Dankel (Awesomatix), and Yannic Prümper completed the top 5 in the last round of Matrix Modified qualifying. It was a very important one for Yokomo`s Prümper as it saved him from ending in the B-Main. Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix), Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki), Dominic Greiner (Serpent), and Mattia Collina (Schumacher) made the show as well and we can expect an epic showdown on here in Aigen-Schlägl on Sunday.

Awesomatix river Bultynck secures the pole ahead of Xray`s Izsay – Mugen Seik driver Sparbier lining up third on the grid

Reigning ETS Pro Stock champion Olivier Bultynck will start from the sweet spot on the grid into the finals. He took another win in Q4 ahead of a very good driving Sören Sparbier (Mugen Seiki), and Jesper Rasmussen (Awesomatix) who secured his last-minute place in the A-main with a strong third place. The Xray`s of Tobias Sutrich and Matus Benetin completed the top 5 in the last round of Awesomatix Pro Stock qualifying.

Valent jumps to P2 on the grid beside top qualifier Reile

Xray driver Gergö Valent won the last round of FWD qualifying which secured him the second spot on the grid beside top qualifier Dominik Reile (Iris). Top seed Daniel Pöhlmann (Awesomatix) made a mistake in lap 12 and will start from third place into the finals beside Frederik Hovgaard (Yokomo) and Jonas Völker (Iris). Mark Valent (Schumacher), Max Weffers (Xray), Andrea Ghilotti, Alexander Mayer, and Jacques Libar made it into the big show as well. Three thrilling A-mains are ahead of us on Sunday in the Hobbywing FWD class.

Ehrbar steals TQ from teammate Kölbel in Q4 – thrilling finals expected…

The last round of qualifying was the decider for pole position in the 1up racing 40+ Masters class. David Ehrbar got the job done, won the heat, and snatched the pole away from his teammate René Kölbel in the last minute. The starting grid for the finals will be: David Ehrbar TQ, René Kölbel (2), Michel Zierold (3), Ronald Arts (4), Eric Anderson (5), Thomas Wegmann (6), Werner Schmitzer (7), Torsten Baggendorf (8), Elibert Sievers (9), and Anna Ehrbar (10).

Kriz secures pole position at ETS RD2 in Austria

Jaroslav jun. Kriz has claimed the very important pole position here in Austria with his Xray X4-2024. The young racer from Slovakia did a great job in qualifying and will see Jan Gehrig (Xray), Nadine Zühlke (ARC), and Kristian Jensen (Xray) lining up right behind him on the grid. Positions 5 to 7 went to the Mugen team with Nico Eglseer, Simeon Seis, and Timo Siebert rocking their MTC-2R touring cars. Tim Jarosch, Richard Kovacs (Xray), and Kai Gerhardt (Yokomo) are completing the grid for the A-Main (plus one bump up driver from the B-main).

Ehrbar does the double as he is on pole in the Formula class as well

After he claimed pole position in the 1up Racing 40+ Masters class an hour before, David Ehrbar (Xray) did the same in the Formula class. Ehrbar won Q4 by 1.4 seconds ahead of Stiebler who will start right behind him on the grid with his Schumacher car. Michal Wojcik confirmed his strong form of the weekend and will start third on the grid while Robert Kampehl and Michael Lipperheide completed the top 5.

Chris Grenz came out of qualifying sixth fastest and Apeldoorn race winner Luka Jovicic had to take P7 on the grid. René Kölbel, Balint Rajki, and Tomas Sova will head into the finals from the last spots of the grid. A bump up driver from the B-main will complete the show later in the eveneing.

Orlowski on pole at ETS RD2 in Austria

0

Q3 Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

The third round of qualifying went to Michal Orlowski again. The Schumacher driver took the win by 0.4 seconds over Bruno Coelho (Xray) who had a great run on a set of used tires as well. With pole position already decided, Coelho will do everything he can to secure second spot on the grid in Q4. The Portuguese double world champion commented his run “It was really good as I was on a used set of tires. The car felt good after the first 3-4 laps and I am happy with P2 for the round. There was only a small chance for the TQ ahead of Q3 and now my goal is to secure P2 on the grid in the last one”.

Michal Orlowski was not 100% satisfied after the run and said “When the sun came out 30 minutes before the run it was a little too late to change important things on the setup for these conditions. The car was a little too soft on oils and not very easy to drive. However, I am happy with the overall TQ and will do everything I can to win the race here in Aigen”

Behind Orlowski and Coelho, a much-improved Marc Rheinard took third place with his Cayote powered Awesomatix A800R in front of Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix) and Mattia Collina (Schumacher). As the TQ is already decided, the rest of the grid positions is wide open and many drivers need another good result in Q4 to secure their spot on the A-Main starting grid.

Impressive run from Izsay – decision for overall TQ shifted to Q4

The third round of Awesomatix Pro Stock qualifying was in the hands of Adam Izsay. The Xray driver from Hungary was laying down a super clean and fast run on his second set of new race tires and was beating Olivier Bultynck` s fastest runtime from Q1 by almost 3 seconds. With the results from Q3, the pole position will get battled out in the last qualifying run between Izsay and Bultynck. Behind heat winner Izsay, Gergö Valent (Xray),Lukas Ellerbrock (Awesomatix), Ollie Payne (Schumacher) and Dominic Vogl (Schumacher) rounded out the top 5.

Crazy close Q3 in Aigen-Schlägl goes to Pöhlmann

Daniel Pöhlmann was executing a clean run (finally) on Saturday morning and posted his first TQ run of the weekend. BUT it was super close between him, Frederik Hovgaard, and Dominik Reile. The top three finished the run only separated by 0.125 of a second which was just insane. Max Weffers and Luca Giovannoni completed the top 5.

With two TQ runs for Reile, and one for Pöhlmann, we will have a showdown for the pole position coming up in Q4. Pöhlmann needs to beat Reile`s fastest overall runtime which will not be an easy task on used tires but nothing is impossible in racing 😊

Ehrbar wins Q3 – decision for overall TQ on the line in Q4

The third round of 40+ Masters qualifying was a close one between David Ehrbar and René Kölbel.  Ehrbar won the heat by 0.1 of a second ahead of his Xray teammate Kölbel and has a shot for the TQ spot now in Q4. Kölbel still has the faster overall time to his favor, but the decision will come down to the line in the next and last round. Michel Zierold, Thomas Wegmann, and Ronald Arts completed the top 5 for the round.

Kriz snatches Q3 from Gehrig in last lap of the race

Jaroslav jun. Kriz took the win in Q3 on Saturday morning when the track had been dried again after the early morning rain showers. It was a very close race on track as Jan Gehrig and Kristian Jensen had great pace as well. Kriz (Xray) took the win by one tenth of a second only and was followed by Jan Gehrig (Xray), Kristian Jensen (Xray), Nico Eglseer (Mugen Seiki), and Simeon Seis (Mugen Seiki) in the top 5.

Formula Q3 goes to Ehrbar and Xray

After Andreas Stiebler had everything under control (2 TQ runs) yesterday, David Ehrbar was quickest in Q3 which he won ahead of Stiebler, Lipperheide, Jovicic, and Wojcik. Ehrbar also posted the fastest overall runtime of the weekend in this heat and has a good chance to snatch the pole position away from Schumacher driver Stiebler in the upcoming last round of qualifying. Let`s see what will happen on track as pole position is a key factor to victory on the Aigen-Schlägl racetrack.

Under the Hood – Simon Lauter`s Awesomatix A800R

Awesomatix driver Simon Lauter is running strong here at ETS RD2 in Austria. It was time for us to take a look under the hood of his A800R. Simon`s car is equipped with a MXLR front bumper, as well as MXLR front and rear body supports. The car is also featuring some Awesomatix option parts such as ST05-R and low friction pulleys, C97R bumper plate, BW22R battery mount, BW7 and BW8 weights, and the AT03R spool. Simon is using a Hobbywing combo with a 4.5T motor and the well-known XR10 Pro G2S speedo. Nosram 6500 ULCG batteries are delivering the power, and a MKS HBL 575 SL servo is responsible for the steering.

Ollie is running the current Schumacher Mi9 which is equipped with alloy hubs, high bulkheads, 0,5mm eccenters, and a set of titanium screws and ballstuds from Schumacher. A spowerful 8400 EAM battery is powering Paynes ride which he is controlling with the new Power HD S15-S direct mount servo for the Mi9. Great to have Ollie Payne back at the ETS!

Another TQ run for Orlowski after intense battle with Coelho

0

Q2 Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

Orlowski is overnight TQ while Lauter sitting on a fantastic second place followed by an unlucky Coelho and a world class field of Modified drivers

The second round of FlySky Modified qualifying started on the tone and Orlowski`s car almost got sideways to the left. Orlowski lifted the throttle and lost 2 tenths on the opening lap to Coelho, Lauter, Urbain, and others. While Orlowski immediately posted his hot lap of the race (14.895) in the next lap, he was back in his rythm. Meanwhile, Xray lead driver Bruno Coelho was absolutely on fire (fast lap 14.775) and was leading the race ahead of Orlowski, Dankel, Lauter, Urbain, and Rheinard.

The battle for the lead was intense and very close all the time until Orlowski took over the lead in lap 9 again. Bruno was in second until he lost some costly time in lap 9 and 13, dropping all the way back to sixth place for the run. Simon Lauter, Lucas Urbain, Marc Rheinard, and Eric Dankel completed the top 5 after five minutes in what was a very interesting and blistering fast Modified qualifying run.

Pole position within reach as Bultynck wins Q2

After taking the opening round of qualifying, Awesomatix factory driver Olivier Bultynck was on point again in Q2 which he won against a hard charging Adam Izsay (Xray), and Dominic Vogl (Schumacher). Vogl was leading the race for a very long time on a new set of tires, but Bultynck got the job done and is now very close to seal the overall TQ here in Aigen-Schlägl. Tobias Sutrich (Xray) and Matej Dobnikar (out of the b-heat) completed the top 5 on a very sunny and hot Friday afternoon.

Another TQ run for Reile as he outpaces a 4 car freight train behind him

In the second round of FWD qualifying we had a very close result in the end with second and fifth place only separated by half a second. Gergö (Xray) and Mark Valent (Schumacher), Max Weffers (Xray), and Jonas Völker (Iris) gave their all on track but there was one man beating all of them – Dominik Reile. He had a fantastic run with his Iris car and scored his second TQ run of the event. A big break for Reile and the team on the way to another ETS TQ in the hard-fought Hobbywing Frontwheel class. Q3 and Q4 is on the schedule for Saturday morning.

Two out of two for Kölbel as he takes another win in Q2

René Kölbel was on a mission in Q2 which he won ahead of Ronald Arts (Awesomatix), David Ehrbar (Xray), and Eric Anderson (Awesomatix). Kölbel posted the fastest lap of the heat (19.775) with his Xray car and is very close to seal the overall TQ in his home country. Werner Schmitzer (Xray) and Torsten Baggendorf (ARC) completed the top 6 in the second round of 40+ Masters qualifying.

Zühlke takes Q2 from Gehrig and Jensen

Q2 of the Orca 21.5 Stock class saw Nadine Zühlke on top. She drove a very clean race with her ARC car and took the win by a tenth of a second over Jan Gehrig and Kristian Jensen. Simeon Seis and Kai Gerhardt (Yokomo) completed the top 5 at qualifying half-time. Two more rounds are coming up and it seems like Zühlke, Gehrig, Siebert, and Kriz have the best shot for claiming the pole position here at ETS RD2.

Stiebler again in Q2

Andreas Stiebler posted another TQ run with his Schumacher formula car and was followed by his teammate Robert Kampehl and the two Xray`s of Michal Wojcik and Chris Grenz. Michael Lipperheie completed the top 5. Andreas Stiebler is the overnight TQ now and can seal the pole position on Saturday – what he needs: just one more TQ run!

Orlowski takes opening round of qualifying from Coelho and Lauter

0

Q1 Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

Schumacher`s Michal Orlowski took the opening round of FlySky Modified qualifying by nine tenths of a second from Xray`s Bruno Coelho. Simon Lauter took a strong third place and was 1.8 seconds behind second placed Coelho after the five-minute run. Eric Dankel (Awesomatix) and Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki) completed the top 5 in Q1. With the top 4 drivers all posting similar 14.9 lap times, it was all about consistency and speed during the end of the run. The performance drop in the tires is a factor here and Orlowski and Coelho managed their tires and car setups the best so far.

When I was preparing my cars at home last week, I watched and analysed the race videos from last year`s race in Aigen. I noticed the time difference between the runs in the morning and the hotter conditions mid-day and we worked in this direction to have a good car when it is hot in qualifying. My run was good and I am happy with this result in Q1. Bruno is also very strong and I expect a close fight with him for the TQ!

Michal Orlowski (PL) Schumacher | Hobbywing

I had a few very small bobbles during the run and had to save my car which cost me a little bit of time. The balance was not perfect as I had understeering into the corner, and sometimes a bit of oversteering on throttle. That didn`t allow me to push like hell but P2 was still solid. For the next round we will check the car and go for it again!

Bruno Coelho (PT) Xray | Hobbywing

Awesomatix fights back as Bultynck takes Q1 from Xray duo Izsay and Benetin

After not being on top during practice, reigning ETS champion Olivier Bultynck has found his rhythm on track here in Aigen. Starting from P4, the Awesomatix factory from Belgium quickly moved to the top of the board ahead of Adam Izsay. After five minutes, Bultynck`s advantage over Izsay was 0.8 seconds. Xray`s Adam Izsay had a great run as well and finished second ahead of top seed Matus Benetin (Xray), Tobias Sutrich (Xray), and Lukas Ellerbrock (Awesomatix).

Reile wins opening FWD qualifier in Austria

The first round of Hobbywing Frontwheel qualifying was super clean – and super close. Dominik Reile was able to set the TQ when he won the heat by three tenths from Frederik Hovgaard and Jonas Völker. Top seed Daniel Pöhlmann was fourth, and Alexander Mayer posted the fifth fastest time out of the B-sort. It is game on in the FWD class and we are already looking forward to Q2.

Kölbel takes opening round of Masters qualifying in Austria

A great start into qualifying for Austrian racer René Kölbel. The Xray driver took Q1 with the small margin of 0.2 seconds from his teammate David Ehrbar. Eric Anderson, Werner Schmitzer, and Ronald Arts crossed the line another second behind the leaders. Kölbel had the fastest lap of the race to his favour as well and it looks like he is in the mix for the overall win this weekend. Top seed Elibert Sievers lost around 1.5 seconds in lap 4 and dropped back to ninth place for the round.Q2 is up next….

Kriz wins close Q1 in Aigen-Schlägl ahead of Siebert and Gehrig

The first round of 21.5 Stock qualifying went to Jaroslav jun. Kriz. The Xray driver from Slovakia was 9 tenths quicker as second placed Timo Siebert and scored his first TQ run of the weekend. Kriz and Siebert had been the only two drivers posting a 19 second lap time (hot lap 19.981 from Siebert). Behind The Xray of Kriz and the Mugen car of Siebert, Jan Gehrig, Nadine Zühlke, and Kristian Jensen were completing the top 5.

Back on pace – Stiebler wins first round of Formula qualifying

After being a bit on the backfoot yesterday, Schumacher driver Andreas Stiebler was able to win Q1 of the Matrix Formula class. Stiebler took the win by 1.2 seconds from the four Xray drivers Michal Wojcik, René Kölbel, top seed David Ehrbar, and Chris Grenz. Stieblers hot lap of the race (18.177)was almost three tenths faster than everybody alse – can somebody fight back in Q2?

Coelho is top seed ahead of Urbain and Orlowski

0

Controlled Practice Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

Bruno Coelho will start first into qualifying of the FlySky Modified class. The Xray driver posted his fastest three laps in the first round of seeding practice in the morning, the same as second placed Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix). Michal Orlowski was third quickest and the only driver in the top 10 able to improve his time in the second seeding round when the track was hotter – maybe not a bad signal for Orlowski as Q1 and Q2 will take place in similar conditions later today.

However, Coelho will have a clean track in front of him which is always something good in qualifying. Behind the top three it was Marc Rheinard and Eric Dankel who made it a 3-4-5- for Awesomatix.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

1. Bruno Coelho (PT) 44.475 Xray|Hobbywing
2. Lucas Urbain (FR) 44.618 Awesomatix|ORCA

4. Marc Rheinard (DE) 45.079 Awesomatix|Cayote
5. Eric Dankel (DE) 45.251 Awesomatix|Hobbywing

Surprise as Benetin tops Pro Stock seeding

In the Awesomatix ProStock class, Xray driver Matus Benetin came out on top after seeding practice. He outpaced his teammate and last year`s Aigen race winner Adam Izsay by almost two tenths over three laps. A great performance by Matus Benetin here in Aigen so far as not many had him on the radar to be on top of the field for the start of qualifying.

Behind the Xrays of Benetin and Izsay, Lukas Ellerbrock and Olivier Bultynck secured P3 and P4 for the start of qualifying. Austrian racer Tobias Sutrich was fifth quickest. Many others had been quick and close as well and we will learn more about everybody`s five minute pace when we head into Q1 and Q2 this afternoon.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

1. Matus Benetin (SK) 53.861 Xray
2. Adam Izsay (HU) 54.041 Xray

4. Olivier Bultynck (BE) 54.192 Awesomatix
5. Tobias Sutrich (AT) 54.249 Xray

Awesomatix driver Pöhlmann quickest, five manufacturers in the top 5

The Hobbywing Frontwheel class saw the top drivers at a very similar pace over three laps. It is not easy to push the FWD cars around the track as a missed apex is very costly. Daniel Pöhlmann is the top seed for qualifying with his Awesomatix car and was followed by the Xray of Gergö Valent, the Schumacher of Mark Valent, Dominik Reile`s Iris car and the Yokomo of Frederik Hovgaard.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

David Ehrbar (Xray) was only 0,045 behind him and was followed by his teammate Werner Schmitzer. René Kölbel was fourth quickest and made it three Xray cars in the top 5 which was completed by the Awesomatix of Ronald Arts.

Ehrbar and Wojcik setting the pace in seeding practice, champion Stiebler ranked third

Xray`s David Ehrbar will start first into Formula qualifying. He was a bit quicker than Michal Wojcik (only 0.054 seconds) over three laps. The Xray duo was followed by the Schumacher pairing of Andreas Stiebler and Robert Kampehl while another Xray car completed the top five with René Kölbel. Under the Hood – Hayato Ishioka`s Axon TC10/3

Axon driver Hayato Ishioka is here at ETS RD2 in Aigen. He made the trip from Japan together with his team mate Akio Sobue, and Axon boss Hidetoshi Mitsusada. After Sobue was on his own during RD1 in Apeldoorn, Ishioka is the second top driver for the Axon team this weekend. The team has brought some new AXON parts like a new lower shock tower, new short shocks, carbon steering arms, a rear aluminum T-brace, and alu body stoppers. All parts are mounted in Hayato`s TC10/3 and he is really excited for the weekend with the TC10/3 on track in Aigen.

Coelho leads from Orlowski and Völker after opening day of ETS RD2 in Austria

0

Free Practice Report, ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25

The ETS is in Aigen-Schlägl, at the fantastic venue of the local MAV club. As usual, five rounds of free practice in groups were on the schedule on Thursday with 26 heats hitting the track. It is very important to find a good flow on the technical track here in Aigen and drivers used every round to further improve their cars and lap times until the end of the day.

Coelho looking strong on track, Orlowski searching for the little extra pace, ETS record champion Völker third overnight

The FlySky Modified class saw Bruno Coelho on top. The Xray factory driver showed a strong performance on track and was battling with Michal Orlowski and Simon Lauter for the fastest laptimes throughout the day. Ronald Völker had a strong FP5 where he moved up to third spot behind Coelho and Orlowski. Lucas Urbain was fourth fastest ahead of his teammate Lauter.

We made a good progress with the car after we didn`t have the results we were looking for in the last few races. But as we focus more on our touring car programme now, we are happy with out performance today. My car felt very good on track, and I think we are in a very good position for tomorrow. However, you can quickly make some small mistakes on this track – like I did in FP4 for example – so it will be a key factor to have a car which is relatively easy to drive over the five minutes!

Bruno Coelho (PT) Xray | Hobbywing

The FlySky Modified class was a very close affair today with so many top drivers in attendance. It will be interesting to see who will make the A-Main, and who will miss it. Two rounds of seeding practice and two rounds of qualifying are scheduled for Friday and everything is set for a great show of ETS qualifying.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

1. Bruno Coelho (PT) 44.590 Xray|Hobbywing
2. Michal Orlowski (PL) 44.910 Schumacher|Hobbywing

Champion Bultynck on top, Ellerbrock and Izsay right in tow, Vogl with a strong fourth place

In the Awesomatix ProStock class we saw champion Olivier Bultynck on top of the board. Bultynck was rocking the fastest laps with his EAM powered Awesomatix A800R on track and was followed closely by his teammate Lukas Ellerbrock, and Xray`s Adam Izsay. These three drivers had been fighting for last season`s championship title until the very last race and they once again showed that they are the benchmark in ETS Pro Stock racing right now. Behind them, the two Austrian racers Dominic Vogl (Schumacher) and Tobias Sutrich (Awesomatix) rounded out the top in free practice.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

1. Olivier Bultynck (BE) 53.781 Awesomatix
2. Lukas Ellerbrock (DE) 54.037 Awesomatix
3. Adam Izsay (HU) 54.084 Xray
4. Dominic Vogl (AT) 54.457 Schumacher
5. Tobias Sutrich (AT) 54.520 Xray

Valent, Völker, and Reile leading in a close field of FWD drivers

Xray driver Gergö Valent posted the three fastest laps in the Hobbywing Frontwheel class. The Hungarian racer was almost two tenths quicker as second placed Jonas Völker who made a comeback after not holding a radio for 9 months. Völker is wheeling a loan Iris FWD car this weekend and had a good start into the event (although it was difficult for him to hand over the challenge cup from the football prediction game to Daniel Pöhlmann today).

Dominik Reile was third fastest with his Iris car, followed by Max Weffers at his first race with his new Xray ride. Reigning European FWD champion Daniel Pöhlmann finished fifth for the day.

The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)

1. Gergö Valent (HU) 1:03.672 Xray
2. Jonas Völker (DE) 1:03.960 Iris
3. Dominik Reile (DE) 1:04.049 Iris
4. Max Weffers (DE) 1:04.154 Xray
5. Daniel Pöhlmann (DE) 1:04.272 Awesomatix

Great start for US racer Anderson as he tops Thursday practice in Aigen

Yokomo driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

The Yokomo factory team will travel to Aigen with good memories as Christopher Krapp was able to win there in 2022 – a year that went amazingly well for Krapp as he became vice-world champion as well. Fast forward, the team has a new chassis in use called MS1.0 and is working hard to find the way back to the top step of the podium. Krapp will race in Aigen together with all his Yokomo factory team members like Yannic Prümper, Enrico Jung, Antoine Brunet, and Frederik Hovgaard. Let`s see what they can do in the Austrian mountains!

Krapp hopes to repeat 2022 race win in Austria

“We have some upgrades for Aigen and we are very optimistic for the race as the track always suited our car”

Aigen was a good place for me so far. I like the track a lot and was able to win there two years ago. Last year was also not bad with a P4 after a difficult weekend. The track is really cool, fast, and provides a good traction due to the sugaring they do. I am very optimistic that our whole team will perform well in Austria. The reason for my optimism is that we already had a solid pace in Apeldoorn which we just did not convert into top results. We had been on the euros warmup race last week and made good progress there with our new MS1.0 platform. Yokomo made some new upper arms to test and also some softer springs which made the car faster. In Aigen, I try to aim for the best possible result and as always, the win is the main target. The list of entries is almost looking like a world championship as we do not miss many top drivers on it. Our team will be there in full force to represent the Yokomo brand in a strong way. Last but not least, I am very happy that there are so many entries for Aigen. This place deserves it, and I am looking forward to the race.

Brunet relies on teams experience at his first Aigen visit

“Krappi won there 2 years ago – maybe he can tell me some secrets to go fast 😊”

I have never been to the Aigen track, so for sure the event will be challenging for me. I will try to get some information from my team mate Christopher Krapp who won there 2 years ago . We will try to get closer to the top with our new platform, the same we did at the euros warm up . We received some update parts from Japan which are already available on market and it seems that we made a step forward. We will see where we stand after practice, and it will be a very competitive field as always. It is very difficult to make a prognostic now but I hope for something good to happen in Austria!

Jung highlights the facility in Aigen as one of the best in the world of RC

“I am prepared for the race and my goal is a top 5 result in ProStock”

I think I am well prepared for Aigen. I was practicing a bit on my home track, and also on the bigger track in Bamberg. We made good progress with the car after we struggled with the setup in the beginning. The confidence is high now and I hope to be in the mix for a good top 5 spot in the A-Main. Lukas Ellerbrock is in a very good form and I think he will be the man to beat in Aigen as well. About the facility and the track in Aigen I can only say: I don`t think there are many places in the world of RC where a club is doing so much for the racers. Everything is top notch and also the food is outstanding!
