Directions for successfully de-tweaking your chassis
It’s very important to ensure your chassis is flat, and droop is set prior to doing this process!
Rotate the wheels on the opposite end of the car you’re checking, so the flat base is in contact with your setup board.
Ensure the weighted tweak wheels on the end you’re working on are parallel to the ground, with the logo horizontal.
Press down on both ends of the car to settle the suspension and then lift the “spinning” end up slowly until one of the wheels starts to rotate, note which wheel it was.
The wheel that came off early is the side that the collar needs to be unscrewed towards the top of the shock body on the other end of the car. Adjust half a turn, and do the opposite direction to the other side by half a turn also. E.g. If the front left lifts early, unscrew the rear left collar half a turn, and tighten the rear right collar half a turn.
Repeat the process until you have both wheels spinning at very close to the same time.Â
To do the other end, simply rotate the car 180 degrees, rotate the wheels that were fixed back to spinning, and the previously spinning back to fixed, and repeat above steps!

We have implemented the ETS constructors championship for Season #17, and today we like to show you the current point standings after our first race of the season in the Netherlands.
To remind everybody about the rules: Each team is announcing three drivers before the race and they are collecting points according to the rules of the RC Manager game. Xray and Mugen Seiki chasing Awesomatix in ETS Constructors championship after season opener in the Netherlands!
The opening round of Season #17 saw Awesomatix with the best team performance. Xray was very close, and Mugen Seiki followed on a strong third place ahead of Schumacher, ARC, Yokomo, and Iris. The next chance for the teams to collect valuable points will be RD2 in Aigen in about 4 weeks.
Why do we not post the names of the drivers who had been responsible for the points? Well, we like to keep the championship exciting and we also don`t want to get people blamed when having a bad result. It is a team contest and as the rules are forcing team managers to use different drivers throughout the season, many drivers will collect the points for their teams.
Another aspect to keep the selection of drivers secret until the end of the season is the JOKER option in the rules which would not be exciting anymore when making the selection of drivers transparent 🙂
Congratulations to Awesomatix for collecting the highest number of points in the Netherlands. Can they stay on top of the game in Austria?
Italian body shell manufacturer and ETS partner Mon-Tech has unveiled their new “JULIA” body for the touring category. From the tests carried out on the track, the new JULIA proves to be very high performance, very fast in the straight line, which is a strong point for the categories STOCK…… very stable and with excellent cornering, as required by the latest generation workshop.
The available versions are two, the standard with around 80gr and the “light” version with around 60gr. Printed with premium polycarbonate, the kit includes window masks, headlight decals and rear wing bolts and shafts. Mon-Tech Racing proudly presents the new JULIA body for touring car classes!
Extensive track testing has shown the JULIA to be a high performance body solution. It is excellent in straight-line speed, a great advantage for the STOCK classes. In addition, the JULIA has excellent stability and curves that meet the requirements of modern body design. Two versions are available: “Standard”, with a weight of about 80 grams, and “La Leggera”, with a lightweight of about 60 grams. The JULIA is printed with high-quality polycarbonate and includes window masks, headlight stickers and all the screws and wash discs needed to secure the rear wing.
The body shell will be available in the next days to make sure that it reaches hobby shops at least 4 weeks ahead of ETS RD2 in Aigen, Austria!

The Euro Touring Series is rolling again and after a superb start into Season #17, we look back to the amazing time we had at AMCA Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. More than 250 racers from all around the world went for it and showed high class RC car racing on the beautiful AMCA track. As always, many things happened and we picked the 5 things we have learned during ETS RD1 last weekend.

1) The ETS is as INTERNATIONAL as it could be
With racers from 20 countries attending the race, it was just fantastic to welcome people from Austria, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Netherlands, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, and the USA.
The people from all these different countries are making the ETS so special as we are always having a very international atmosphere in the pits. The ETS is like a world championship with 5 or 6 races every year :-).
To symbolically celebrate this internationality, we gave the Spirit of the Event award to the three Australian racers Baden MacDonald, Jeff Hamon, and Mathew Jenkins who sacrificed a whole week of their holidays to enjoy the RC hobby with us in Apeldoorn.
2) Winning an ETS race is SUPER SPECIAL
Many racing drivers pursue the dream of winning a race at the Euro Touring Series. For many of them it will remain a dream, but others will be able to fulfil it at some point. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, because the competition at the ETS is of course always tough.
Last weekend in Apeldoorn we saw FOUR first time ETS race winners, which was just fantastic. It was great to see all the emotion and celebrations after they crossed the finish line in the decisive A-Main and we would like to congratulate these guys once again from the bottom of our hearts.
Fun fact: All drivers won the race from pole position which once again shows that the TQ is half the battle to victory.
3) Michal Orlowski is a real BEAST right now
Schumacher`s Michal Orlowski is the man to beat in electric 1:10 scale touring car racing now. The Polish driver won his SIXTH consecutive ETS race last weekend which is just an insane statement. He also won the GP3F this year, followed by the MiBo race and the 1up Racing Westcoast invitational race. Orlowski was TQ at all of these races and left no doubt about his dominance in the finals.
His actual package with the new Schumacher Mi9 touring car, his complete electronic package, and the team around him (his father, Mattia Collina, and Andy Murray) seems to be the perfect fit to allow Orlowski performing on the highest level.
For sure, it is only race one of the new season in the books. BUT – if Orlowski continues in his current form, WHO should be able to beat him? When listening to the interviews after the races, we notice that Orloswki is absoluteley confident, and his competitors (Urbain, Rheinard, Völker for example…) are scratching their heads because they sometimes really don`t know what do do to close the gap to Orlowski.
As it is a worlds year (IFMAR Worlds will take place in the US in November), Orlowski is stepping more and more into the role of one of the top favoirites for the title. Can he stay on top of his game all year long?
4) Atsushi Hara – still a MEGA STAR of our sport
A clear highlight for us was the attendance of Atsushi Hara in Apeldoorn. Atsushi had not raced RC cars frequently in the last years and is not a 100% professional driver anymore, but it was easy to see that he has not lost any of his amazing skills. He was super fast in practice and seeded himself into the top heat for Modified qualifying.
He made a couple of costly mistakes then which did not allow him to make the A-Main. But with some solid racing in the B-Main, he finished 16th overall in a stacked field of Modified drivers – a good result at his ETS return!
No matter if it was the A-, or the B-Main, Atsushi was the star of the event as many young drivers never saw him racing in the past. Others just had been happy to meet him again after a long time talking about RC and other funny stuff with him.
Atsushi took pictures with his fans, signed body shells, T-Shirts, books, and caps all weekend long and enjoyed it to be back at teh ETS after many years. He also told us that he will do anythign possible to come to the next races in Aigen and Luxembourg – we really hope he can make it happen. ARIGATO HARA SAN!
Tires are always a cruical part for big RC events. It is important that the tires are performing well, and that they are all from he same batch of production. Another important factor is the reliability on track.
Sometimes, tires can explode because of the inner belt getting loose (just for example), or due to large imbalances in the rubber compound. Also the glueing is very important to make sure all racers can finish their runs without the rubber getting loose on the wheels.

We had ZERO problems on track. Not one single unglued tire, no tire explosions in the Modified class at speeds above 120kph, everything worked just insane and we are very greatful to have these companies on side as our partners and tire suppliers for the Euro Touring Series!
the registration for our second race of the ETS season #17 2024/25 will open on Tuesday, 11 June 2024. The ETS circus will be travelling to Austria, where MAV Aigen-Schlägl will welcome us again at their fantastic facility. We have raced there the last two seasons and had a blast.

Orlowski wins A2 to seal the deal, Urbain second overall, Rheinard with last-minute podium
A2 – After having a tough A1 yesterday evening, Michal Orlowski had a better start into A2 where he never saw somebody coming close to him. The Schumacher factory driver showed once again that he is the strongest force in 1:10 scale touring car racing right now and took the win with a gap of 6 (!) seconds ahead of second placed Lucas Urbain, and Akio Sobue. A perfect start into ETS Season #17 for champion Orlowski and his Schumacher team.
Right after the start, Rheinard launched his car off the line from second on the grid and lost it in the first chicane when his rear became loose. He dropped all the way back to the end of the field and Urbain jumped into second place, chased by the Mugen of Ronald Völker and the Axon of Akio Sobue. These three drivers showcased great driving and it was Urbain who brought home second place. Akio Sobue finished third in A2 while Ronald Völker suffered from another unlucky electronic issue which caused him to retire his car after 19 laps. Simon Lauter earned P4, and Marc Rheinard worked his way back through the field to fifth place.
A3 – As always, the last race of the weekend was Modified A-Main number three. Orlowski was not attending anymore after already being the overall winner and Marc Rheinard needed to win A3 to have a last chance for a spot on the podium. And Rheinard got the job done. He was able to win A3 in front of his Awesomatix teammate Lucas Urbain who defended amazingly well against Akio Sobue for the entire 5 minutes. Urbain`s defence was important for Rheinard as Sobue would have been on the podium if he would have been able to overtake Urbain. Sobue tried to make a pass on Urbain in the last corner and they both lost their positions to Ronald Völker who took second place away from A3. However, Akio Sobue finished on a very strong fourth place overall for Axon, and Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker had to settle for fifth place.
Thrilling Pro Stock finals as Ellerbrock wins it from Benson and Blutynck
A2 – The first laps of the race saw top qualifier Lukas Ellerbrock leading until he made a huge mistake in lap 4 when he rolled his Awesomatix car when coming onto the straightway. At the same moment, Olivier Bultynck lost his third place to Nico Catelani as Bultynck went a little wide and Catelani could capitalise from it. Meanwhile, Tim Benson, found himself in the lead going down the straight, just to lose it to Nico Catelani after spinning out in the chicane. Nico Catelani was leading the race now with Tim Benson, Sören Sparbier, and Rob Janssen right in tow.
Benson and Catelani had a great fight for the win, and it was Benson who could take the lead back in lap 10 when he made a clean pass on Catelani in the long left turn after passing the driver stand. Catelani showed great driving as well as he let enough room for Benson to not risk a stupid a crash. Tim Benson was now able to stand his ground against a hard charging Nico Catelani and brought home the win in A2 with Sören Sparbier, Rob Janssen, and Robin van Gog taking positions three to five.
A3 – The decision for the overall win was on the line in A3 between Lukas Ellerbrock and Tim Benson. They are knowing each other since many years and went for it after the sound of the tone. Ellerbrock quickly showed that he wanted nothing than a win and checked out in front of Tim Benson who had champion Olivier Bultynck in his rear-view mirror all the time.
Ellerbrock had a gap of 2 seconds at the half-time of the race and Bultynck was still chasing Benson around the track. In the last minute of the race, Bultynck was able to pass Benson to take second place and that`s how they finished A3. The overall result saw Tim Benson taking second place on the podium beside race winner Lukas Ellerbrock while Ollie Bultynck had to settle for third spot. Nico Catelani and Sören Sparbier took fourth and fifth spot.
Mister EAM himself wins the Masters class at the ETS season opener
A2 – Eric Anderson had another good start off the line and was immediately able to open a gap over Elibert Sievers (Awesomatix), David Ehrbar (Xray), Torsten Baggendorf (ARC), and Werner Schmitzer (Xray). Eric Anderson left no doubt in A2 and drove a very dominant race with his A800R on top to bring home the overall win.
A great achievement for Eric at his second ever ETS race after finishing second overall last year at the same venue. Thanks to Eric Anderson for making the trip from the USA with his son Kemp, and congratulations for his great victory in the 1up Racing 40+ Masters class. Elibert Sievers took an unchallenged second place from A2, and Torsten Baggendorf was able to get by David Ehrbar taking third position.
Emotional first ETS victory for Mugen driver Siebert
A2 – The second A-main started on Sunday at noon, and top qualifier Timo Siebert had his rear-view mirror full of Nadine Zühlke right after the start. Nadine and Timo pulled away from third placed Stefan Rommens in the first two laps before Rommens was able to get closer to the top 2 again. In lap 7, Nadine was all over Timo when he was a little too hard on the curbing, but Siebert was able to stay on top. It was a great race from the top three on the AMCA track and Nadine Zühlke gave her all to create a high amount of pressure on Siebert`s Mugen car in front.
However, Siebert was able to stand his ground and took the win in A2. Siebert was celebrating with his girlfriend after the run and was in tears just because he was so happy about his first ETS win – congratulations Timo, and congratulations Nadine, it was great to see you battle it out on track. Stefan Rommens took third place in A2, followed by Jan Vogler and Tobias Baumbach.
A3 – Nadine Zühlke secured second overall in A3 where she drove a clean race in front of Stefan Rommens and Wesley van Dijken. The final results saw Nadine Zühlke and Stefan Rommens stepping onto the podium with race winner Timo Siebert, and Jan Vogler and Wesley van Dijken rounded out the top 5 of the ORCA 21.5 Stock class.
Xray driver Kölbel finished second in A2 and was followed by our reigning ETS champion Andreas Stiebler (Schumacher), Michael Lipperheide (Xray), and Alex Bremer (Schumacher). The ETS crew likes to congratulate Luka Jovicic from Luxembourg for his first ETS race win – well done mate!
The first A-Main of the FlySky Modified class was a real thriller. The weather became a little windy and colder in the evening and we could see after the start, that the track temperature was not the best one for the Modified tires. Michal Orlowski had not the best traction in the first lap and Marc Rheinard tried to make a pass in the second last corner before coming onto the straight. The cars touched slightly, and both drivers lost their positions to Lucas Urbain and Akio Sobue. Urbain was the next driver to spin around and handed the lead over to Axon driver Akio Sobue who was now driving in front of Rheinard and Orlowski on track.
Akio was defending his lead like a lion against the hard pushing cars of Rheinard and Orlowski. After eight laps, Rheinard tried to put a pass on Sobue on the straightway as he had more top speed in his car. Rheinard pulled over on the straight and set off to overtake. Sobue’s car moved slightly to the left at the same moment and both cars flew off the track at top speed. It’s impossible to blame either of them as the cars were travelling at 120 km/h at this point – it was clearly a racing accident with a bad ending for both drivers.
Michal Orlowski took the win in this eventful first A-main ahead of Lucas Urbain and Antoine Brunet who drove a great race from eight on the grid to third, followed by Simon Lauter and Jilles Groskamp who both started at the end of the field as well.
An eventful day came to an end after this dramatic race and we are excited for A2 and A3 on Sunday – don`t miss the show!
Ellerbrock executes excellent first A-Main in Apeldoorn
Pro Stock top qualifier Lukas Ellerbrock showed all his class in A1 when he drove a brilliant race with his Awesomatix A800R from start to finish. Behind him. Tim Benson (Jambo One) was having a nice race with Olivier Bultynck (Awesomatix) with the better ending for the reigning champion after Benson spun his car around in lap number 8. Mugen Seiki`s Sören Sparbier, Nico Catelani (Xray), and Phil Langner (Awesomatix) completed the top 6 in A1. Can Ellerbrock win the race on Sunday, or will anybody deny him the win at the season opener in Apeldoorn?
Siebert takes A1 from tone to tone after a perfect drive
Top qualifier Timo Siebert (Mugen Seiki) had a clean start and brought the field around the first corner. Nadine Zühlke (ARC) and Stefan Rommens followed him in striking distance. At the half minute mark of the race, Siebert had a lead of one second over Nadine Zühlke who then started to close the gap down to six tenths when they entered the last minute of the race. But Siebert did not slow down anymore and took the win in A1 of the Orca 21.5 Stock class in front of a great driving Nadine Zühlke, Stefan Rommens, Jan Vogler, and Michael Koos.
