Even with a rain affected event that was far away from perfection, the teams have collected points for the ETS Constructors Championship of Season #18 2025/26. Today we like to give you a quick update about the standings.
Some teams have improved, some have lost some ground – but that is what makes it so interesting to analyse. An update about the drivers championship will follow in the next days…
Awesomatix is now sitting in first place all alone after they collected some very strong points in Austria. The four best results from Awesomatix drivers had been coming from Olivier Bultynck (Pro Stock | 303), Marc Rheinard (Modified |300), Phil Langner (FWD | 300), and Michel Zierold (40+ | 300).
The team collected exactly the same amount of points as during RD1 in the Netherlands and they are now leading the competition ahead of RD3 in Luxembourg. Team manager Max Mächler can open a can of Fanta with his favourite flavour now to enjoy the time until the next ETS race.
2 – XRAY (1201 pts.)
Trend: STRONG – Hardest championship contender for Awesomatix!
After being tied on points with Awesomatix after the season opener in Apeldoorn, the Slovakian team came short to Awesomatix by two points this time. However, it was still a strong weekend for Xray as they collected 1201 points which was the second best overall number.
The four best XRAY point scores came from Alexander Stocker (40+ | 303), Gergö Valent (FWD | 303), Tobias Baumbach (21.5 Stock | 299), and Mathias Nedrebø (Pro Stock | 296).
Xray seems to be the only serious championship contender for Awesomatix right now – can they fight back in Luxembourg?
3 – MUGEN SEIKI (1198 pts.)
Trend: SOLID – Sitting on P3 with big gap to both directions!
Behind Awesomatix and Xray, the Mugen Seiki team has once again scored the third highest number of points.
They came from Ronald Völker (Modified | 299), Sören Sparbier (Pro Stock | 298), Philipp Stadler (40+ | 298), and Simeon Seis (21.5 Stock | 303).
Compared to Apeldoorn, the Mugen team had now four results to count which gave them 1198 points to secure third oveall in the standings by a good gap to the overall fourth placed Iris team. A very solid season for the team around Ronald Völker and Robert Pietsch so far!
4 – IRIS (889 pts.)
Trend: POSITIVE – Small team with great results!
Team Iris is still sitting in fourth place overall after ETS RD2 where they had been able to collect the fifth strongest overall points from the event.
In Aigen, the IRIS points got scored by Matheo Buchhalt (FWD | 298), Manuel Stankowitz (40+ | 295), and Felix Hörenz (21.5 Stock |296).
A great performance from the team around Andreas Myrberg, especially when thinking about them having no Pro Stock or Modified drivers making A-Mains frequently so far!
5 – SCHUMACHER (600 pts.)
Trend: UNCHANGED – More A-Main drivers wanted!
Michal Orlowski was once again responsible to collect the highest points score (303) for Schumacher when he won the modified class again in Aigen. But the rest of the team was also pushing hard to get cars into the other A-Mains and they had been able to do it in Pro Stock and 40+ Masters.
The Schumacher points for the weekend came from Michal Orlowski (Modified | 303), Mark Valent (Pro Stock | 297). The team is still ranked in fifth place overall.
6 – INFINITY (593 pts.)
Trend: POSITIVE – Car and team clearly on the rise!
Bruno Coelho finished fourth in the Modified class and showed a great pace. Beside him, Italian Pro Stock driver Nico Catelani took seventh place and his points helped the Inf1nity team to rise from seventh to sixth position in the championship standings.
Points: Bruno (Modified | 298), Nico Catelani (Pro Stock | 295). Let`s see how the team will do when more of their new cars are hitting the track at the ETS.
7 – RC MAKER (300 pts.)
Trend: HOPE – looking for further Modified and Pro Stock A-Mains
The RC Maker team collected 300 points during the weekend under the leadership of their new european team manager Timo Siebert. It was a difficult weekend for the team as they only managed to get one car into an A-Main.
Luckily, David Reip could immediateley secure the first ever ETS podium for RC Maker. Points: David Reip (21.5 Stock | 300). The team lost one position in the constructors championship and dropped down from sixth to seventh place!
8 – ARC (299 pts.)
Trend: STAGNANT – Jung`s great results are not enough
ARC racer Enrico Jung secured another podium with third place overall in Aigen. But as there was (again) no other ARC car in one of the other A-Mains, the points from Enrico Jung (Pro Stock | 299) had been the only ones for the team in Aigen.
The car seems to have a lot of potentian – the team just misses some more drivers to climb up the ladder. Current championship position: 8
9 – YOKOMO (293 pts.)
Trend: STAGNANT – Difficult time for the team, waiting for the new car!
The Yokomo team is unfortunateley still sitting dead last in the championshipo. Only Frederik Hovgaard, who managed to make the A-Main in FWD, scored at least 293 points.
Yokomo has just teasered a first promotion image about their new MS2.0 touring car which is expected to arrive in 2025 and all they can hope for is a good car to attract more racers joining them again!
On Sunday morning, it was raining a lot and no racing was possible. As the weather situation did not improve until 10 o`clock, the sad decision was made to end the event by qualifying order. Modified was already completed yesterday, based on pure luck as nobody expected to get that amount of time racing in dry conditions. The plan was to just finish modified qualifying, but as there was no more rain coming we kept going to get at least one class done.
We as the ETS team can only blame ourselves for announcing too early to NOT run finals on Saturday, which did take the chance away to see final races happen in all classes. However, we would have only been able to get ONE round of finals in on Saturday. They would not have been valuable with a rained out Sunday as most of the racers told us that they want to finish in qualifying order with only one final in the books (same as in EFRA rules).
However, the weekend was tricky right from the beginning and we tried to provide the best event possible. We made many decisions, many of them good, some of them bad. Sometimes it is just like that and we like to once again thank everybody for the patience and support during the most crazy ETS event in years!
Bultynck extends championship lead at ETS RD2 in Austria
As only the Modified finals could happen on Saturday after the chaotic weather and a completeley wet track in the morning, all other classes will be hopefully on track on Sunday – if mother nature will allow us to see some more finals.
We know that the situation was not satisfying all day long, but the whole ETS crew tried to make the best out of it. Not all decisions had been perfect, but as we are all humans we hope that everybody will know that we always aim to provide the best possible event for EVERYBODY. Let`s talk about the Cayote Modified class finals…
Orlowski wins A1 after clinic drive ahead of Rheinard and Lauter
A1 – On the sound of the tone, top qualifier Michal Orlowski brought the field around the first lap and his car looked “spot on”. Marc Rheinard pushed hard to follow him but could not stay close to the tail of the Schumacher Mi9 in front of him. Ronald Völker had Bruno Coelho in his rear-view mirror, and Coelho himself was followed by Lauter as they entered lap three.
In the long sweeper at the end of the straight, a contact happened between Coelho and Völker when Bruno`s Inf1nity car was hitting the rear left side of Ronald`s Mugen Seiki and both lost positions. Völker could somehow continue and was running in fifth spot behind Viktor Wilck while Coelho retired his car just a lap later. Simon Lauter took full advantage of it and earned third spot which he would been able to maintain to the finish line.
Out front, nothing happened anymore as a very dominant Michal Orlowski took the win by 1.5 seconds over Marc Rheinard, Simon Lauter, Viktor Wilck, and Ronald Völker. After this thrilling and eventful A1, all spectators and racers hoped for the weather to stay dry as everybody wanted to get the final results in with two finals or more!
Orlowski cruised to victory after Rheinard spins out – Völker and Coelho putting on a show for second in A2 !
A2 – After winning A1, Michal Orlowski needed another win to seal his twelfth Modified race win in a row. Orlowski converted his pole position into the lead after the start and immediately pulled a small gap to Marc Rheinard. The Awesomatix driver spun around in lap three of the race before coming on the straight and Völker, Coelho, Lauter, and Wilck could go by.
In the following laps, the spectators could see a heavy defending Ronald Völker who had Bruno Coelho “all over him”. Völker could withstand the huge pressure until he was a little wide in one of the infield corners allowing Coelho to pass by. Völker then carefully followed Coelho around the next corner to not cause a collision and had to settle for third in A2 as Coelho could drive away from him a bit.
After the four-minute A-Main, Schumacher factory driver Michal Orlowski crossed the finish line under the applause of the crowd and celebrated a hard-fought win with his teammates once he came down the drivers stand. Bruno Coelho scored a strong second place in the second final and was followed by Ronald Völker, Simon Lauter, and Viktor Wilck.
Rheinard and Völker sealing podium positions in A3
A3 – Race winner Michal Orlowski watched the third A-Main from the wooden tower at the end of the straight and saw Marc Rheinard driving to the win. Rheinard launched his Awesomatix A800RR off the line and was followed by Ronald Völker, Bruno Coelho, and Simon Lauter. Rheinard could open a very small gap to Völker who (again) had the mirror full of Coelho`s Inf1nity car.
Bruno had a stellar pace and created a lot of pressure on Völker, but the Mugen driver also found a better pace in his MTC-3 for the last final after struggling a bit with overall traction in A2. Simon Lauter once again waited with patience behind them for something to happen.
In the last minute of the race, Völker and Coelho came a bit closer to Rheinard` s car but Marc was able to hang on and hammered his Awesomatix ride over the line to secure second overall. The second place in A3 was putting Völker onto the third step of the podium – tied on points with Coelho in fourth place.
Here is a quick update from Cayote Modified qualifying at ETS RD2 in Austria. After a long time of waiting for the track to get dry, the third and last round of qualifying was finally completed on early Saturday afternoon. Michal Orlowski took the win in the last heat and will now start on pole position in the upcoming finals. Orlowski will see Marc Rheinard, Ronald Völker, Bruno Coelho, Simon Lauter, Eric Dankel, Viktor Wilck, Alexander Hagberg, Naoto Matsukura, and Michele Manzo lining up behind him on the grid.
As the ETS crew decided to do not run finals today because of the wet track and the bad weather expected for the rest of the day, the decision was then afterwards made to try to get at least the modified finals in as all the modified racers had been still trackside.
Due to the weather forecast for Sunday (which is still not promising) a decision had to been made how to count the results in case of only one or two finals can happen. Scotty Ernst called all 10 Modified racers to a quick meeting to vote between the existing options. The racers voted to run by EFRA rules.
What does it mean: If we run three A-Mains, we count two as always. If we run two finals, we count one as always. But if we can only get one final run in until the end of the event the race result will count according to qualifiyng order. The racers voted for this solution instead of chosing to count one out of one final and this decision will count now.
It was a busy Friday at ETS RD2 in Aigen as we tried to get as much qualifying done as possible. However, as it was expected to get too dark in the evening hours due to the massive cloud layers, the decision was made to shift Modified Q4 to Saturday morning as it is almost impossible to go for proper modified racing in the twilight.
But somehow, mother earth was not with the ETS racers anyway, and in the LAST 20 seconds of Modified Q3, it started to rain heavily and the day was DONE for everybody. What a shame, especially for the modified drivers who only had been seconds away from completing the third round of qualifying. Here is the full story for you…
Tragedy in the last seconds of Q3 when the rain ended the day way too early
Q3- The third round of Modified qualifying became a punching ball for mother nature. We try to keep the story short. Bruno Coelho was setting a new TQ time when he won his heat after a brilliant drive with the new Inf1nity Spec1ale car. In the penultimate group it was Serpent’s Dominic Greiner who had a good run to take the win (around two seconds slower than Coelho).
Then it was time for the “top dogs” and we saw another intense race on track in which Orlowski, Rheinard, Völker, Lauter, and Dankel had a great pace. It was a battle on distance between them as they all raced against the time of Coelho for the overll win of Q3. Orlowski was leading in the last minute of the heat and his forecast was three to five tenths quicker – but then the bad weather arrived, and it started to rain with 20 seconds to go. We could immediately see cars spinning off track and spinning into the grass, and after the heat was finished it was clear that the complete third round of Cayote Modified qualifying needed to get repeated.
It was really hard for all racers and you could see how sad everyone was that the rain was hitting the event so hard, only seconds away from completed Q3.
After the announcement was made to end the day, Q3 is now on the schedule for Saturday morning and will get repeated completely. With the results of the day, Marc Rheinard is the overnight TQ ahead of Orlowski, Völker, Matsukura, Coelho, Dankel, Lauter, Hagberg, Urbain, and Wilck. Let`s hope for a chance to repeat the washed out round of qualifiyng on Saturday morning!
Pole position for Bultynck as he sets new TQ time in Q3 before rain ended qualifying
Q3– Awesomatix factory driver Olivier Bultynck finally found a better pace and took the third round of Pro Stock qualifying. The heat was very intense and tight – so had been the results. Louis Kretschmer, Enrico Jung, Sören Sparbier, and Mark Valent all made the top five and stayed within one second off Bultynck` s four-minute pace.
As we had seen three different TQ`s so far (Kretschmer, Nedrebø, Bultynck), it was all to play for in the fourth and last round on Friday evening. However, the rain denied the final round and due to the fastest overall time in Q3, the pole position went to Ollie Bultynck and the Awesomatix team.
Louis Kretschmer (Awesomatix) will line up second on the grid ahead of Enrico Jung (ARC), Sören Sparbier (Mugen Seiki), Mark Valent (Schumacher), Mathias Nedrebø (Xray), Nico Catelani (Inf1nity), Tim Benson (Mugen Seiki), Lukas Ellerbrock (Awesomatix), and Adam Izsay (Xray).
Xray`s Valent is FWD TQ after super-close qualifying
Q3- Gergö Valent posted another TQ run in FWd Q3, this time he was three tenths faster than his teammate Max Weffers. Q1 winner Phil Langner recovered from his bad Q2 and secured third place for the round. Pawel Staszewski and Jacques Libar made it into the top 5 as well. Before the last round of qualifying, Gergö Valent had the best shop for the overall TQ with Phil Langner being his biggest competitor. With the cancellation of Q4, Valent will start from P1 into the finals – congratulations. Phil Langner and Max Weffers will try to challenge him from second and third on the grid!
Q3 – Alexander Stocker was able to fight back in Q3 after losing Q2 to Michel Zierold. This time, Stocker had a huge gap of 2.5 seconds over Zierold and brought himself into the best position to seal the TQ spot in the upcoming last round of 40+ Masters qualifying. Ronald Arts, Mirco Thalheimer, and Philipp Stadler completed the top five in Q3. Once the decision was made to remove Q4 from the schedule due to the bad weather forecast, Alexander Stocker was the official TQ and he will start ahead of Michel Zierold and reigning champion David Ehrbar into the finals which will hopefully happen in dry conditions tomorrow!
Q3– After already winning Q1 and Q2, Simeon Seis got the job done once more in Q3 and won his heat. Seis took the win ahead of the Iris car of Loris Buchhalt, and the RC Maker of David Reip. Tobias Baumbach and Elena Fuchs completed the top five. BUT, as Ben Gerhardt posted a faster overall time in the second fastest group (!) he earned the TQ honors in Q3 of the Hobbywing 21.5 Stock class – great job Ben. The decision for the overall pole position was shifted into Q4 with a fight going on between Gerhardt and Seis in two different groups – that was the plan until Q4 got cancelled. Congratulations to Simeon Seis for his first ETS TQ, it is well deserved!
Stiebler on pole after strong qualifying performance
Q3- After Andreas Stiebler won the first two rounds of Formula qualifying, David Ehrbar took the third round to keep the battle for the overall TQ wide open. Michal Wojcik, Luka Jovicic, and Jacques Libar completed the top 5 once again. With Q4 got cancelled, Andreas Stiebler is the overall TQ ahead of David Ehrbar and Michal Wojcik.
Orlowski wins Q1, Rheinard takes Q2 and sets the fastest overall runtime so far!
Q1 – The first round of Cayote Modified qualifying first saw Bruno Coelho setting a TQ time in the third fastest group (in which he was after some bad luck in practice). The second fastest heat was in the hands of Xray`s Alexander Hagberg, but the Swedish driver was not able to beat Coelho`s time over the four minutes.
Once the top group started, we saw a four-horse battle between top seed Marc Rheinard (Awesomatix), Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki), Michal Orlowski (Schumacher), and Japanese top star Naoto Matsukura (Inf1nity).
In the beginning it was Marc Rheinard who jumped into the lead, but after some laps it was the name of reigning modified champion Michal Orlowski which popped up on top of the board. Orlowski was able to maintain a gap od around one second over Matsukura, Rheinard, and Völker for the entire run and took the very important TQ away from Q1.
Behind him, Matsukura, Rheinard, and Völker finished within half a second and Bruno Coelho scored an overall fifth place for the round. Behind the top five, Alexander Hagberg (6th), Viktor Wilck (7th), Eric Dankel (8th), Mattia Collina (9th), and Sören Sparbier (10th).
Q2 – As the Modified top heat started, all eyes had been on Q1 winner Orlowski who was starting first out of the gate. But after lap one it was Völker leading when he posted the fastest lap of the day so far with a 14.688. Naoto Matsukura was also very fast with his Inf1nity and right in the mix together with the Awesomatix A800RR of Marc Rheinard.
As the race unfolded, the top four were driving in a couple of tenths all the time until Matsukura made a little, but costly mistake in the infield section. He dropped back to ninth position. Rheinard was meanwhile in the lead before Völker took it back. The lead changed multiple times int eh last laps of the run and also Michal Orlowski came closer and closer to the leader on the scoring board.
Once the run was finished, Marc Rheinard took the win by 0.013 (!) of a second from Ronald Völker, and Michal Orlowski. Völker was visibly disappointed to miss out the TQ for the round by such a smal lmargin – can he fight back in Q3, or will Orlowski or one of the Inf1nity drivers win the next round?
Bruno Coelho posted the fourth quickest time in the c-heat again and showed his strong pace, and Awesomatix racer Eric Dankel took a strong P5 away from Q2. Coelho has not the easiest job as he is clearly the fastets in his group but not on track with the other top guns at the same moment.
His position in the final is already secured but it will be difficult for him to fight for the win here this weekend. But as nothing is impossible, we should not count the three times world champion out of the competition.
Kretschmer leads Pro Stock class after two rounds of qualifying!
Q1 – Awesomatix driver Louis Kretschmer was in control of Pro Stock Q1 where the German outpaced top seed Olivier Bultynck (Awesomatix) by 1.2 seconds. The sun was out, and the conditions had been fine for the round, and it was Mugen Seiki`s Sören Sparbier who was able to post the third fastest time ahead of Enrico Jung (ARC).
Tim Benson was fifth quickest with his runtime coming from the second fastest group. The top 10 got completed by Lukas Ellerbrock, Mark Valent, Gergö Valent, Max Mächler, and Jan Ratheisky.
Q2 – Mathias Nedrebø from Norway took the second round of Awesomatix Pro Stock qualifying for Xray. His win was a bit unexpected as he “only” seeded tenth into the top heat. Louis Kretschmer backed up his TQ run with a solid second place ahead of Nico Catelani (Inf1nity), Alex Kunkler (Xray), and Adam Izsay (Xray).
With so many Pro Stock drivers on a strong pace, and the fact that the stock tire is much faster in run one compared to run two, the rest of qualifying will also be a strategic tire game for many racers. Let`s see who will end up on the grid for the A-Main, and who will manage to claim pole position!
Langner takes Q1, Valent victorious in the second round!
Q1 – Top seed Phil Langner won the opening round of FlySky Frontwheel qualifying ahead of Max Weffers (Xray) and Matheo Buchhalt (Iris). Langner crossed the line with an advantage of 0,435 seconds after an intense four-minute qualifier – a great start into qualifying for both drivers.
Matheo Buchhalt who seeded tenth after practice had a flawless drive to the third quickest runtime while Jacques Libar and Gergö Valent rounded out the top 5 in Q1.
Q2 – In the second we saw Xray driver Gergö Valent taking the win. Q1 winner Phil Langner rolled his car over in lap five and was out of contention. Valent had to deliver a perfect drive to win the heat as Matheo Buchhalt, Max Weffers, and Pawel Staszewski followed him closely (separated by only 0.022 at the end!!!).
Alexander Stocker rounded out the top five in Q2. Phil Langner and Gergö Valent have the best shot now for the overall TQ with one heat win each, but nothing is decided yet.
Stocker and Zierold batteling for Masters class pole position
Q1 – Xray racer and reigning 40+ Masters champion David Ehrbar was right on pace again when qualifying started on Friday morning. Ehrbar was able to win the first heat with a gap of eight tenths of a second to his teammate Alexander Stocker.
Mugen driver Philipp Stadler had a great run to third for the round and was followed by the Awesomatix of Ronald Arts and the IRIS car of Manuel Stankowitz.
Q2 – Michel Zierold was the man “on fire” when he too the win in Q2 of the Masters class. Zierold was three tenths faster as Philipp Stadler and another half a second ahead of third placed Alexander Stocker. Thomas Wegmann and David Ehrbar completed the top five in Q2. With Ehrbar and Zierold taking one of the rounds each, the battle for the TQ has officially started at ETS RD2 in Austria!
Seis leads 21.5 Stock at qualifying half-time in Austria
Q1 – Austrian racer Simeon Seis took the opening round of 21.5 Stock qualifying by two seconds from the two Germans Tobias Baumbach and Nadine Zühlke. Seis had a great run and also posted the fastest lap for the entire round with a 19,832. Felix Hörenz from Switzerland and Juraj Gnidiak from Slovakia finished fourth and fifth on Q1.
Q2- The second round of qualifying saw again Simeon Seis taking a strong win. The Mugen Seiki driver was clearly the fastest driver on track and took the heat by 2.5 seconds from second placed David Reip, Kristian Jensen, Nadine Zühlke, and Felix Hörenz. A great performance so far from Simeon Seis – can he seal the pole position in Q3?
Stiebler wins first two rounds of Formula qualifying
Q1 – Schumacher driver Andreas Stiebler won the first heat of Matrix Formula qualifying on home soil. Stiebler (fastest lap 18.267) was one second ahead of the Xray gang with Jacques Libar (2nd), David Ehrbar (3rd), Luka Jovicic (4th), and Martin Hudy (5th). Ahead of Q2, everybody had one question: Can the Schumacher driver withstand all the pressure from his Xray competitors?
Q2 – Andreas Stiebler was again “on a mission” in Q2 when he took the win ahead of Martin Hudy, Michal Wojcik, Jacques Libar, and Dominik Ruf. However, the gap from Stiebler to Hudy was at three tenths of a second only and it seems that the Xray drivers have unlocked some pace from their package to match the strong pace of Stiebler`s Schumacher car. The rest of qualifying will show us what to expect for the finals!
The first day of ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl was “not fish, not meat” as it never really rained a lot, but it also did not stop raining light drops from the sky either. The practice sessions got interrupted two or three times during the day when the rain got a bit stronger, but after short breaks the track was good enough to go again.
Right at the start of FP4 in the afternoon, the whole track got wet due to a heavier shower and the day was basically done. It was the end of an imperfect first day for all the racers where it was a super difficult task to find a good rythm on the challenging track in Aigen. The fourth round of practice will get completed tomorrow morinig before qualifying starts in hopefully dry conditions.
Völker fastest ahead of Rheinard and Orlowski – what will happen on Friday?
Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker was quickest over three laps with his MTC-3. His advantage over second placed Awesomatix driver Marc Rheinard was one tenth only, with reigning champion Michal Orlowski just another tenth behind. The Inf1nity duo of Naoto Matsukura and Jilles Groskamp showed a great speed as well and completed the top five at the first day in Aigen. With practice round 4 on the line early Friday morning, some drivers need to improve. Bruno Coelho had no transponder in his car in FP3 and did not set a good time while his car looked promising and fast on track as well. Pressure is on for Coelho in the last practice round if he wants to run with the other top guys in the qualifying top heat.

Bultynck tops Pro Stock practice on a track which seems to suit him well
The Awesomatix Pro Stock class saw Apeldoorn race winner Olivier Bultynck posting the fastest laps of the day. Bultynck won here in Aigen last year and it seems that it is kind of “his track” so far. His team manager Max Mächler is sitting second overnight followed by Apeldoorn runner -up Enrico Jung, Louis Kretschmer, and Adam Izsay.
The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)
Langner, Valent, and Stocker on top of competitive FWD class
Young German ace Phil Langner was the fastest driver in the FWD class. Langner was 0.031 of a second quicker then second placed Gergö Valent, and third placed routiner Alexander Stocker. The FWD class is hard fought as always and qualifying will be interesting as so many guys want to make it into the A-Main.

“Grandmaster” Stocker leads the Masters class after three rounds of practice
Alexander Stocker found himself on top of the board after the first day of practice in Aigen-Schlägl. The Xray driver had a great run and outpaced his fellow Xray teammate Mirco Thalheimer by three tenths of a second. Werner Schmitzer had a good pace with his new Mugen ride and finished the day in fourth place ahead of reigning champion David Ehrbar, and Michel Zierold!

Nadine Zühlke won her first ever ETS race at the season opener in Apeldoorn. This result seems to give her wings when she was fastest in the 21.5 Stock class. She was closely followed by Wolfgang Swoboda, Felix Hörenz, Matheo Buchhalt, and David Reip.

Andreas Stiebler topped the time sheets on Thursday in Aigen-Schlägl. The Schumacher driver was a lot quicker than the four Xray cars behind him with his gap to second placed Martin Hudy at a massive 1.2 seconds. Can Stiebler carry this amazing pace over into to qualifying?

After a stunning season opener in Apeldoorn (Netherlands), the best in the business will show up once again at the breathtaking facility of the MAV Aigen-Schlägl in Austria. It is the fourth ETS race at this amazing place and the entries have ever grown since our Aigen debut in 2022. This time, we are happy to welcome more than 300 racers which we all call “a family”!
As always, the MAV Aigen-Schlägl has prepared everything on the highest level for our ETS family and we are more than thankful for that. Before the action starts on Thursday, we take a closer look on the list of entries and the things to expect from the weekend. As it is only round 2 of the current season, we will not focus on championship standings so far. Enjoy the read!
All eyes on Orlowski – can he extend his flawless winning streak? Coelho on the line with officially released Inf1nity Spec1ale…
One thing is clear – the second round of the season will be another great showdown in the Cayote Modified class as almost all the top guys will be there again. The Modified class will also be the strongest class in terms on entries (72) which is something we have not seen in a while. Aginst all odds: Modified is not dead!
The first race of the ETS #18 campaign was all in the hands of reigning champion Michal Orlowski and his Schumacher Mi9 once the dust had settled at AMCA Apeldoorn. However, it was a lot of hard work for the Polish star driver as Marc Rheinard, Lucas Urbain, Ronald Völker, and Bruno Coelho all had a fantastic pace as well and could challenge Orlowski especially in qualifying. But somehow, Orlowski managed to TQ all four rounds to claim the pole position.
The first A-Main was full of tragedy and spectacular moments but even when Marc Rheinard won it from fifth on the grid (!!!), Orlowski found his way back to the top to win A2 and A3 making him celebrate his ELEVENTH victory in a row at the Euro Touring Series. A record which we can not mention often enough!
Orlowski will arrive in Aigen with his “homework” done and strengthened by his win at the Euros warmup race in Utrecht last weekend. Beside Orlowski, his team including Mattia Collina and Andy Murray will travel to Aigen to continue working together as the most winning team in the last three years!
The “Spec1ale” is here as Inf1nity presents new touring car
Well, Inf1nity has now officially released their new IF-14 Spec1ale car and Bruno Coelho could secure a solid second place behind Orlowski at the Euros warm-up race in Utreche (NLD). We are already excited to see how the Inf1nity team will develop in the future now that the car is officially available to the market. Can they attack Orlowski on top of the field and maybe beat him? With Coelho, Matsukura, Groskamp, Wlick, and Menicucci, the lineup of drivers is very strong.
Awesomatix looking for first Modified win since November 2023
What sounds a long time ago happened in November 2023 when Lucas Urbain took the win at the carpet ETS in Hann. Münden. With this being the last Modified win for Awesomatix (and any other brand) the team is really hungry to jump onto the top step of the podium again. Marc Rheinard was close a couple of times, but it was never enough to beat Schumacher`s Orlowski since Rheinard won his last ETS also in the year 2023 – in Aigen!.
The Awesomatix team will hit the track for ETS RD2 in full force with Urbain, Rheinard, Lauter, Dankel, and Manzo to fight for the best possible results. Can Aigen become the re-birth of Awesomatix when it comes to winning ETS Modified races?
Mugen’s Völker wants to return to the winner’s podium
Another team aiming for a long awaited ETS race win is the Mugen Seiki crew around Robert Pietsch. Their top driver Ronald Völker won his last ETS race in November 2022 (Hann. Münden), a long time before their current MTC-3 arrived. With Völker not being used to such a long time without winning at the ETS, the team is working super hard to maximize their performance on track. The new MTC-3 looked sharp in Apeldoorn and Utrecht (3rd place ast Euros warm up race), where Völker was super-fast in some of the sessions.
Maybe the team just needs some more time to learn everything about their new platform. Völker was second behind Orlowski a few times during the last two years – can he beat the dominating Schumacher driver in Aigen? The Mugen Seiki drivers and ETS A-Main finalists Patrick Gollner, Remi Callens and Berkan Kilic will also attend the Aigen event to further help the team getting up to speed quickly!
Hagberg, Ronnefalk, Ratheisky, and Havranek – Xray sends massive quality to Aigen
After scoring good results in Aigen – sixth place for Hagberg – the Xray team wants more for sure. During ETS RD1, David Ronnefalk and Alex Hagberg showed a great performance, and only bad luck could deny a better starting position for Ronnefalk in the finals. Alex Hagberg raced in Singapore last weekend and finished second at the ESIC race behind Axon`s Akio Sobue.
The team will be in full force with their top drivers Hagberg, Ronnefalk, Ratheisky, Domanin, and Havranek. Especially David Ronnefalk will be one to watch as the Swedish star will race with a huge motivation boost after winning the 1:8 Nitro Buggy Euros two weeks ago
Smaller teams – high quality… Who can crash the party of the top teams?
This headline comes alive when we look onto the teams like RC Maker, Yokomo, Axon, and Serpent. French ace Antoine Brunet and Yannic Prümper will fly the flag from “down under” rocking their RC Maker cars while Yokomo will have their lead driver Christopher Krapp in charge together with Olav Dahle. Serpent will once more trust the skills of former 1:10 nitro IFMAR world champion Dominic Greiner, and Akio Sobue will give Axon`s new TC10/4 it`s ETS debut.
As bigger teams normally should have the ability to gain useful data quicker during practice, smaller teams sometimes have the advantage of not running into a setup jungle that quick due to the reduced amount of care they have. Let`s see what the teams can do against the bigger crews at ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl.

Can Bultynck do the double in Aigen, or will Izsay and Sparbier crash the Awesomatix party in Aigen?`
In the Awesomatix Pro Stock class we will see the return of Mugen Seiki`s Sören Sparbier to the championship campaign. Last season`s overall runner up, who won the last two races of Season #17, had to skip the season opener in Apeldoorn due to his girlfriend`s 18th birthday (and that`s a reason). Sören finished fourth at the Euros warmup race in Utrecht and will try his very best to continue where he stopped on carpet – with winning ETS races.
However, as the Awesomatix team saw a super-dominant Olivier Bultynck celebrating a flawless win in Apeldoorn, nobody in the team will think about Sparbier` s return. Lukas Ellerbrock and Max Mächler (winner of the Euros warmup race) will compete as well in Aigen and the Awesomatix top trio will try everything they can to give another win to their successful A800RR platform. In Aigen, they will be joined by Louis Kretschmer, Kevin Schmid, and many other fast Awesomatix racers.
Enrico Jung scored his best ETS result in Apeldoorn when he finished second behind Bultynck. Jung was on fire all weekend long with his ARC and Aigen will show if his great performance was just a one hit wonder or if we can expect him in the top 5 frequently now. His teammate and friend Helge Johannessen from Norway was also in the A-Main at ETS RD1 showing the great potential of the current ARC car.
The two top Pro Stock drivers Adam Izsay and Jan Ratheisky will lead the Xray team once more and they will get massive help from Xray car designer Martin Hudy who will race himself too. Xray was once the strongest force in the Pro Stock class and as we all know the work ethics of Martin Hudy and the team, they will try their very best to win big again at the ETS.

Winner wanted as van Gog skips Aigen race weekend
The FlySky Frontwheel class is looking for a second race winner of the season as Robin van Gog, the winner of the season opener in Apeldoorn, will not be racing in Aigen. The Dutch Schumacher driver had a fantastic weekend in Apeldoorn where he was kind of “untouchable” in the finals to claim his first ETS victory.
Who is the top favourite for the win now? Well, that is hard (and almost impossible) to say. We see many names on the entry list with a potential to win. Roman Borschel is one of these guys. The Awesomatix privateer was the hardest contender of van Gog in the Netherlands, and he will push hard to win the second ETS race in hie career. Phil Langner is another name on the list. The youngster was in the top 5 many times and it seems he is getting better and better now.
The Xray racers Jacques Libar and Max Weffers have the potential to win, same as ETS veteran and former European champion Daniel Pöhlmann (Awesomatix) and last year`s Aigen race winner Frederik Hovgaard (Yokomo). ARC racer Torsten Baggendorf is well prepared, the same as his buddy Manuel Stankowitz (Iris), and Pawel Staszewski (Awesomatix). But as mentioned before, we can talk about many many names here – the weekend in Aigen will lighten the candle for us in the hard fought FlySky Frontwheel class!

Who will knock Ehrbar off his 40+ Masters throne?
The story in the 1up racing 40+ Masters class is told qickly. There is one gus everybody wants to beat – Xray racer David Ehrbar. The last driver being able to win against Ehrbar was US racer Eric Anderson. He was able to beat Ehrbar at the first race of the last season in Apeldoorn. But since then, we have always seen “mighty” David Ehrbar on top of the podium with FIVE wins in a row.
In Aigen we will see 50 Masters class racers chasing Ehrbar and as racing is always intense in our 40+ class, we are already super excited for the outcome of the weekend. Who will be Ehrbar`s harest challenger? Will it be Toni Mateo (Awesomatix), Torsten Baggendorf (ARC), Manuel Stankowitz (Iris), former 40+ dominator Alexander Stocker (Xray), Mister BoomRC Michel Zierold (Awesomatix), Mirco Thalheimer (Xray), Ronald Arts (Awesomatix), OR anybody we have not in our minds right now?
The flowing track layout is great for racing and has some good sections for attacks and passings – a perfect scenario for the 1up Racing 40+ Masters drivers!

Strongest 21.5 turnout in Aigen – Zühlke is the hunted racer after flawlass Apeldoorn win
Nadine Zühlke finally managed to win her first ETS race a few weeks ago in Apeldoorn. What was a great result has now putted her on the driver`s seat of the championship bus. She will be the lady to beat at RD2 in Aigen where she will race with her very well working Xray car again.
We count 38 entries in 21.5 Stock which is the highest number of racers we ever had in Aigen-Schlägl. A great achievement and a clear showing that the new Hobbywing combo has made everything even better.
The field of drivers is very strong and we see many familiar names like Timo Siebert, David Reip, Kristian Jensen, Elena Fuchs, Tobias Baumbach, Apeldoorn TQ Levi Berkenbosch, and Tobias Baumabach just to name a view.
A racer making his ETS comeback after “only” racing the very first ETS race in Kastellaun (Germany) 18 years ago is Christoph Kappes. The ToniSport employee was quick at Arena33 in Andernach recently and (the race reporter) is excited to see him drive in Aigen at his “ETS comeback” after 18 years.

Formula drivers going for a ride on high speed track in Aigen
Our Matrix Formula class is always spectacular to watch in Aigen as the track suits the cars very well with the banked corners, uphill straightway, and the nice curbing. David Ehrbar won the last race in Apeldoorn and is the top favourite for the weekend.
However, Ehrbar will face a strong field of drivers including former ETS champion Andreas Stiebler (Schumacher), and many of his Xray teammates like Thomas Stenger, Martin Hudy, Luka Jovicic, Michal Wojcik, and Jacques Libar. Jitse Miedema wil fly the flag for the Fenix chassis. Ehrbar is the man to beat!
