ETS Controlled Practice Report RD4 Season #15 2022/23

Controlled Practice

The qualifying heats are set here in Luxembourg after two rounds of controlled practice. Qualifying is up next, and it will be time to find out what everybody can do over 5 minutes on track. Today we will see two complete rounds of qualifying for everybody, before the third round will take place on Saturday morning. The Orca 17.5 Stock class will run only one qualifier today, and three rounds on Saturday. The reason for that are some drivers of this class arriving here on Friday evening and the ETS family likes to offer them the best chances in qualifying as well.

Awesomatix driver Urbain is top seed at Mini Circuit “Ville de Luxembourg”

Lucas Urbain continued his mission in seeding practice at ETS RD4. Xray`s Jan Ratheisky posted the fourth fastest times out of the second fastest group and Yokomo`s Yannic Prümper completed the top 5 after seeding in the Matrix Modified class.

Hobbywing Frontwheel

Serpent driver Sparbier on top after controlled practice in Luxembourg

In the Hobbywing Frontwheel class we saw Sören Sparbier on top. He had a great fight at the last ETS race in Andernach (GER) with race winner Freddy Südhoff, and he is on a real good pace here again. Sören was laying down the fastest three consecutive laps in the second round of seeding practice and he will lead the strong field of FWD drivers into qualifying.
Behind Sparbier we saw Roman Borschel, local racer Lacques Libar, reigning champion Stefan Schulz, and Torsten Baggendorf in the top 5. With the start of qualifying the tension will step up to a different level and it seems that the top 4 drivers are in a great form to fight for pole position.

The Top 5 after controlled practice (3 consecutive laps)

1. Sören Sparbier (DE) 1:13.774 (Serpent)
2. Roman Borschel (DE) 1:13.813 (Awesomatix)
