Orlowski wins Q1 from Lauter and Völker
Q1 – Before the first round of Cayote Modified qualifying, everybody expected Michal Orlowski to win it by a mile…. and the Schumacher star driver delivered. However, Orlowski`s margin was at “only 2.1 seconds“ which is still a lot – but not as devastating for his competitors (some people had expected a gap of 4-5 seconds).
Behind Orlowski we saw a hard and super-close fight for the positions between Simon Lauter (Awesomatix), Ronald Völker (RC Maker), Bruno Coelho (Infinity), and Eric Dankel (Awesomatix). The positions changed many times throughout the run, and it was Lauter who could snatch the second place from Völker by 0.157 of a second.
A great result for both drivers and especially for Völker who had hoped for a top three result in his first ever qualifying run for RC Maker.
Lauter and Völker looked quite happy after the run being “best of the rest” behind Orlowski. After his second place in seeding, reigning world champion Bruno Coelho had to take P4 from Q1 and Eric Dankel was able to score good points with a fifth place.
Völker claims first ever Modified TQ run for RC MAKER
Q2 – With Q1 being already entertaining, THE STORY of the day happened in Q2 of the Cayote Modified class. Michal Orlowski saw all of his competitors on a good pace and could not open a comfortable gap to Lauter, Völker, and Coelho as he was able to do in Q1.
The top four all posted 17.1 second laptimes and it looked like Orlowski`s hot lap advantage of a couple of tenths was gone… In the last 2 minutes of the run, it was Ronald Völker who jumped into the lead before Orlowski was able to take it back by three tenths of a second. The crowd was watching and it was almost silent as the thrill was really there. Orlowski, Völker, Lauter, and Coelho had an incredible fight against the clock and once Orlowski was in the lead again, everybody thought “that`s it now”. BUT in the penultimate lap of Q2, Orlowski made a mistake at the last curb of the center chicane and lost 1.6 seconds.
Völker took full advantage and the win in Q1 under the cheers of his new team (including a very emotional Ryan Maker) – what a great story! Völker also posted a faster runtime as Orlowski did in Q1 and is the overnight TQ now in the Cayote Modified class. Behine Völker, it was Simon Lauter who took second spot in front of Bruno Coelho, Michal Orlowski, and Lucas Urbain!

Xray 1-2 with Ratheisky and Izsay ahead of Sparbier
Q1 – After some very interesting seeding practice results from Thursday, RC Maker driver David Reip was starting from P1 into qualifying for the first time in his ETS racing career. But it was Xray`s Adam Izsay who made the most out of Q1 when he took the win ahead of an also strong driving Phil Langner (Awesomatix), and Jaroslav Jun. Kriz (Xray). Ollie Bultynck finished fourth in Q1 ahead of David Perez Perez, Tim Benson, Jesper Rasmussen, Enrico Jung, and Lukas Ellerbrock.
Q2 – Jan Ratheisky won Pro Stock Q2 for Xray after a brilliant drive. Ratheisky skipped Q1 to play the tire game – in which is seems to be very good. Jan took the win by 0.7 seconds in front of Mugen Seiki driver Sören Sparbier, the Xray of Adam Izsay, Enrico Jung (ARC), and Ollie Bultynck (Awesomatix).

Borschel on top at qualifying half-time
Q1 – Roman Borschel won the first heat of FlySky qualifying with his Awesomatix car on a cool Friday morning ahead of top seed Kevin Schmid (Awesomatix) and Filip Bortoli (Xray). Stefan Schulz (third after seeding) skipped Q1 to save some tires and it was all about Max Weffers and Jacques Libar to round out the top five.
Q2 – In the second round of qualifying, it was again Roman Borschel who took the win by only 0.016 seconds ahead of Stefan Schulz. Max Weffers was another seven tenths behind Schuz and saw Kevin Schmid and Filip Bortoli rounding out the top five.

Champion Ehrbar ahead of Dinger and Thalheimer
Q1 – The first round of 1up Racing 40+ Masters qualifying saw top seed Mirco Thalheimer (Xray) posting the fastest lap of the run (20.637), but he had to take second place behind heat winner David Ehrbar who once again managed to TQ the opening round after a very strong performance with his Xray X4`26. David`s wife, Anna Ehrbar (Xray), posted the third fastest time in Q1 in front of Torsten “Totti” Baggendorf (Xray), and ARC racer Ulrich Dinger.
Q2 – After winning Q1, David Ehrbar stamped authority onto the 40+ Masters class when he also won Q2 ahead of Ulrich Dinger and Mirco Thalheimer. Toni Mateo showed a good pace and scored P4 for the round in front of Anna Ehrbar and Henrik Heitsch.

Sooooo close – Anthes leads from Kappes with two more to go!
Q1 – Daniel Anthes (fastest lap 20.582) took the win in the first round of Hobbywing 21.5 Stock qualifying when he was able to outpace top seed Christoph Kappes (fastest lap 20.656) by 0.720 of a second after a very intense five -minute run. Filip Bortoli and Horst Schymaniuk (both running in the b-heat), as well as Christian Lütjen made it into the top five as well and collected some valuable points from Q1.
Q2 – After being separated by only 0.016 in Q1, it was another Anthes and Kappes show in Q2. With the gap this time at 0.283 of a second, Anthes could take another important win and is on the way to seal the overall pole position at Arena33. Daniel Hiesch finished third in Q2 ahead of a very fast Mick Lätsch, and “routineer” Patrick Gassauer!

On a mission – Hudy takes Q1 and Q2 in Andernach
Q1 – Xray`s very own Martin Hudy took the opening round of Formula qualifying at Arena33. Hudy won the heat with an advantage of six tenths over Schumacher`s Andreas Stiebler, and the Xray ride of Jacques Libar. Hudy also posted the fastest lap of the round (19.872) and was looking very strong after Q1.
Q2 – Martin Hudy continued to run strong when he posted another TQ run at Arena33 in Q2. This time he had an advantage of almost 0.5 seconds over David Ehrbar and Andreas Stiebler finished third and was followed by Jacques Libar and Robert Kampehl.
