Just before the start of the new season, we have made a small update on the software for our FWD class. Therefore we ask all FWD drivers to update their Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Justock G3S speed controllers to the new and correct software version with the name ETS-FWD18-4.4.05. The software is already available in the Hobbywing App and you can update your G3S speedo via OTA or the LCD programmer!
What have we changed?
We have just added a new blink code to the correct 17.500 RPM limiter and removed all other RPM limiter values (except unlimited). When you set the correct 17.500 rpm limiter now, the ESC will blink red-green-red-green-red-green…. This will allow us to check the settings properly and fast in the technical inspection.
Beside that, we have removed the functions where you could read out the motor RPM, battery voltage, and temperatures. Why? Because it only caused people to think about these numbers which are not noticeable on track in 99% of all the cases.
Update your stuff ahead of the race
The rest is still the same and all FWD drivers can rely on the well-proven feeling and driveability of teh ESC on track. If you are signed up for ETS Rd1 in Apeldoorn – UPDATE your ESC as it is your responsibility to race legal.
