Stellar pole position for Schumacher`s Orlowski

Coelho takes second in Q3 behind top qualifier Orlowski, Rheinard scores another P3

The third round of Cayote Modified qualifying saw again Michal Orlowski doing “Orliwski things” when he sealed the overall TQ spot for the triple finals. Orlowski was 2 seconds ahead of Inf1inty`s Bruno Coelho after the very intense five-minute run and posted the fastest laptime (13.257) of heat. Second spot was a good result for Bruno Coelho who really was in need of some good points before Q3.

But before Bruno could secure second, there was a hard fight going on between him, Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki), and Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix). At first it was Lucas who destroyed his run in lap 20 when he was too close to the white outline of the track coming onto the straightway. The grip difference between the white line and the tarmac caused his A800RR to spin into the grass and his run was ruined.

Two laps later it was Völker who lost the rear of his car for just a moment in the double right before the last hairpin ahead of the straightway. Völker said `hat he is really upset about it as he has no idea what he has done wrong there`. Völker dropped down to P8 after that and is also in need of a good result in Q4.

Behind TQ Orlowski and Bruno Coelho, it was Marc Rheinard who drove to third place overall in Q3. The Awesomatix driver blamed his own driving in the interview after the run saying that he `was not hitting his lines all time during the run` causing him to lose P2 to Coelho by 0.034 seconds only!

Simon Lauter and David Ronnefalk rounded out the top 5 in Q3 and we will see a thrilling showdown in Q4 for the remaining spots on the grid. Who will make it into the show at the ETS in Apeldoorn?

Bultynck stamps authority onto Pro Stock class

The third round of Awesomatix Pro Stock qualifying saw another outstanding performance from overnight TQ Olivier Bultynck. He was on third run tires and was able to beat second placed Enrico Jung (ARC) by four seconds – a real statement from Bultynck (hot lap of the heat 15.793).

Jung had another solid run to P2 and is in a very comfortable situation now ahead of Q4. Max Mächler (Awesomatix), Adam Izsay (Xray), and Lukas Ellerbrock (Awesomatix) rounded out the top 5 for the round.

Bultynck is now the absolute top favorite for the win at the season opener of ETS Season #18. Can ARC driver Jung, Xray`s Adam Izsay, or one of Bultynck`s Awesomatix teammates challenge him in the finals?

Early morning Q3 goes to van Gog again

Schumacher racer Robin van Gog took the win in a very early Saturday morning round of FWD qualifying. Van Gog was 1.3 seconds quicker than Max Weffers (Xray), while round one TQ Roman Borschel followed them in third spot- Nicolas Delisè and Jacques Libar made it into the top 5 once more and have already logged in their A-Main appearances.

Before the last round of qualifying, Roman Borschel is the only driver able to deny van Gog the pole position. But as Borschel will need to beat van Gog`s fastest overall runtime from Q3, it will be a very difficult task as the race tires (only one set allowed to use) are getting older and older. Let`s see who will claim the FWD pole position in Apeldoorn!

Stocker crashes the party – decision for pole inQ4

All eyes had been on David Ehrbar as most spectators expected the Xray driver to put in another TQ run. But the heat unfolded different, and it was Alexander Stocker who crashed Ehrbar`s ongoing 40+ Masters party with a stellar TQ run. Stocker, who was the master of this class in the first years after it got introduced at the ETS, was even faster as Ehrbar in Q1 and Q2 which really spiced things up before final round of 1up Racing 40+ Masters qualifying. Ronald Arts took second place from Q3 ahead of Ehrbar, van den Berg, and Stankowitz.

Mugen one-two in Q3 as Berkenbosch claims overall TQ

Young Levi Berkenbosch has sealed the deal when he was laying down another clean run onto the AMCA track. Berkenbosch won by 1.2 seconds ahead of his Mugen teammate Kai Gerhardt, and Michael Koos. Kristian Jensen and Cedric Gridelet completed the top 5 for the round. Congratulations to Levi Berkenbosch for his first ever ETS TQ and good luck for the finals.

While Berkenbosch now can drive a pretty relaxed Q4, the other guys behind him are still in a battle for second overall on the grid and it will be all about Herhardt, Zühlke, Reip, Koos, and jensen to battle it out in the last round of Hobbywing 21.5 Stock qualifying.

Miedema wins Q3 – decision for overall TQ shifted to Q4

The third round of Matrix Formula qualifying went to Fenix racer Jitse Miedema. The Dutch driver was able to beat Q1 and Q2 winner David Ehrbar and the decision for the pole position will be on the line in the fourth and last round of qualifying. Behind Miedema and Ehrbar, it was Michael Lipperheide who had a strong run to third place where he was followed by Jacques Libar and Thomas Stenger. Will we see Ehrbar or Miedema on pole?
