Dear ETS Family,
with the start of the indoor season, we introduce our new carpet tire additive for the Euro Touring Series. The new “MR33 V5 Carpet Tire Additive” will be in use at our indoor races from now on and replaces the well-nown MR33 V4.
New formula for better traction levels throughout 4-day events
The reason for a change is easy to explain. As we recently had massive entries at our carpet events, our black ETS carpet got soaked full of MR33 V4 quickly, and the track was hard to drive on, especially in the last two days of the event. Most racers reported from “unlikeley” changing conditions, slower lap-times, and a scary level of traction which was not great for racing.
Together with the supplier of the new MR33 V5 additive, we worked on a better formula to create an additive that will behave different during the duration of a 4-day ETS event. Even if it was not possible to test it with 400 racers at one weekend so far, the testing we did was very promising and we expect to have an additive which is better now for the demands of the ETS.
The MR33 V5 is already added to the RULES on our website and you can already order it at ToniSport! The “old” MR33 V4 additive will still be available and can be used with good success at smaller races as well!
