Saturday morning saw Q3 and Q4 happening in Andernach. After a little shower was hitting the track on Friday evening, some heats had to be re-scheduled and mother nature was very pleasant and welcomed the racers with a nice sunrise.

Q3 – After we had seen intense battles on Friday, the third round of Cayote Modified qualifying was not less exciting. Ronald Völker was leading the heat early on before Bruno Coelho popped up on top of the screen after setting the fastest lap of the heat with a 17.058. But in the last 60 seconds of Q3, Michal Orlowski came back strong with his Mi10 and was able to snatch Q3 away from Coelho and Völker.
It was a very important TQ run for Orlowski who was not very happy after the run describing it as “difficult to understand why we lost some pace compared to practice”. Behind Orlowski, Coelho, and Völker, it was Yannic Prümper who had a solid run to P4 ahead of Simon Lauter and Lucas Urbain.

Q4 – The battle for the overall TQ was on the line between Orlowski and Völker in Q4. But after Ronald was struggling a bit in the first minute, he was out of contention for the TQ and Orlowski could seal it.
However, we also saw a very fast Bruno Coelho leading Q4 for many laps until he crashed his Infinity car out in the long right turn on the right side of the track.
Simon Lauter and Lucas Urbain both popped up on top of the scoring and timing with 90 seconds to go but in the end it was (once again) the Schumacher Mi10 of Michal Orlowski who could take the win and the TQ honors.
Many people hoped for a sensation (RC Maker TQ) but with their second place on the grid they are still “flying high” so far here at Arena3.

Langner takes first ever TQ run in Pro Stock during Q3 at Arena33
Q3 – It was on an early and sunny Saturday morning when Phil Langner made it (finally) happen: He was able to lay down his first ever Pro Stock TQ run! After a brilliant drive with his Awesomatix A800RR, he had the small advantage of 0.3 seconds over Xray`s Q2 winner Jan Ratheisky, and Adam Izsay.
With three different TQ drivers from the first three rounds, the thrill was continuing until the last and deciding fourth round of Awesomatix Pro Stock qualifying.
Xray fights back in Q4 when Izsay secures the TQ spot
Q4 – Phil Langner, Adam Izsay, and Jan Ratheisky…. They all had a chance to TQ the event here at Arena33 in Andernach when Q4 got underway. After Langner made some small mistakes, it was Izsay who took advantage to win ahead of his Xray teammates Ratheisky and Kriz. With an Xray 1-2 on the starting grid now, Langner will have a lot of work to do to fight for the win. Let`s go Pro Stock racing!

Borschel is top qualifier at ETS RD3 in Germany
Q3 – After coming short to Borschel in Q1 and Q2, Stefan Schulz took the win in Q3 of the FWD class and it back in the fight for the overall TQ. Borschel took second place for the round ahead of Max Weffers, Filip Bortoli, and Ronald Arts.
Q4 – Borschel and Schulz had a great fight for the pole position in Q4 when both drivers had the best pace on track once again. Borschel had the better end to his favor and secured the sweet spot on the grid when he won Q4 by a small margin of 0.242 seconds over Schulz. Kevin Schmid was third quickest in Q4 and will line up third on the grid for the finals as well.

Ehrbar wraps up the overall TQ in Andernach
Q3 – David Ehrbar continues to dominate the 40+ Masters class. He took another win in Q3 and sealed the pole position for the triple finals ahead of the competition. Behind him, many drivers had been in the fight for P2 during the run and it was Toni Mateo from Gran Canaria who took it ahead of Anna Ehrbar, Manuel Stankowitz, and Mirco Thalheimer.
Q4 – With the TQ already decided before, all racers aimed for a last shot to collect valuable points in the “last minute”. David Ehrbar took it easy and it was Mirco Thalheimer who took the early lead in Q4 ahead of Toni Mateo and Michael van den Berg. Thalheimer clearly was the fastest in this heat and took the win to secure second overall on the grid behind his teammate David Ehrbar (both with Xray cars). Toni Mateo finished second in Q4 ahead of David Ehrbar, Ulrich Dinger, and Anna Ehrbar.

Anthes and Kappes to battle it out in the finals – Anthes on pole
Q3 – Going into the event as one of the top favorites, Christoph Kappes was finally able to execute a clean TQ run in Q3 when he won with a big gap ahead of a superb driving Daniel Hiesch, Max Weffers, Mick Lätsch, and Mario Buchwald. The battle for the overall TQ was shifted to Q4 and it was all about Kappes (fastest overall runtime until then) and Daniel Anthes (two TQ runs).
Q4 – Everybody was watching Anthes and Kappes on track in Q4, but Mario Buchwald was also in the mix so score a TQ run at Arena33. It was a very close fight for the entire five minutes, with the better end for former LRP Touring Car masters and ETS race winner Daniel Anthes. He took the win in Q4 ahead of Daniel Hiesch and sealed the overall TQ spot ahead of Christoph Kappes. The finals in the 21.5 class will be super exciting for sure. Can Kappes win on home soil, or will Anthes claim his second ever ETS race win from the TQ spot?

Hudy earns pole at Arena33 after strong qualifying performance
Martin Hudy claimed the overall TQ of the Formula class when he added another win in Q3 on Saturday morning ahead of Andreas Stiebler. David Ehrbar, and Luka Jovicic. Stiebler took the win in Q4 afterwards to secure second on the grid in front of Ehrbar and Libar.
