Mugen Seiki driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker was the top qualifier last year, before the finals went completeley wrong for him ending only P8. Eric Dankel, who is now running for Awesomatix, had a serious shot to claim his first ETS victory in Aigen last year, but somehow the Mugen team missed the win by a small margin. It seems like the team has kind of an open bill with the Aigen track as they had a great pace, but just no racing luck until now…

Völker looking forward to a great event at well-hosted Aigen facility

“It will come down to details to get everything out of the package when it matters.”

Aigen is an amazing track and facility, well hosted and with the competition level we will have, its gonna be great event.
Michal is the man to beat currently, however lots of drivers are capable of challenging for a win and it will come down to details to get everything out of the package when it matters. We kept improving and will be ready!

Callens hoping for a shot to make the A-Main in stacked field of drivers

“We already improved some things during the last month, and we will continue to work hard on our package in Aigen”

” I’m a lot motivated for the upcoming ETS race in Aigen by the end of the month. I never went there but it looks fantastic, and I love this kind of track with high speed corners. I already know it will be a challenging track for both car and electronics due to the high amount of grip but I’m sure we can handle it with both team Mugen and LRP. We already improved some things during the last month, and we will continue in Aigen. My principal expectation is to make the A-Main and even better, as always. For sure it will not be an easy thing as many fast racers are coming for the same goal, great close battles incoming ! 🙂 “

Remi Callens (FR) Mugen Seiki | LRP

Sparbier wants to shake off the bad luck he had in Aigen during the last two years in ProStock

“I want to make the A-Main this time in Aigen. I have tested a lot and I hope for a great performance with my Mugen on track”

I expect the race in Aigen to become an exciting weekend because this time there are a lot of good drivers in ProStock again. This makes it more tricky, but also motivates me to reach my goal with making the A-Main which I missed in the last two years due to bad racing luck in the fight for the bump-up.
This year I would like to get into the top 10, or if possible, also into the top 5. Even though the last few years have never been particularly good for me there, I think the track itself is very nice and the surrounding area is always nice. The local club and the ETS team always make a big effort and I will prepare myself with my team mate Timo. We tried many setups together for a good start into the event on Thursday.

Serpent driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

Former nitro world champion Dominic Greiner will fly the flag for Serpent at ETS RD2 in Aigen. The small team is working hard to improve their current electric touring car and was rewarded with Greiners first ETS A-Main appearance at the last race in Apeldoorn.

Updates making Greiner confident for the weekend in Austria

“We have always managed to make the Serpent cars competitive, and I hope we can do the same in this class”

So Aigen is a very nice track. I’ve been there every single ENS so far and was able to celebrate my very first victory in the Scale class at the ENS. Maybe a bit too small for 1:8, but I’m really looking forward to driving the track with 1:10 electro, I think this class is absolutely perfect for this size and layout.
Basically we and I are making great progress with the current Serpent car. We are bringing two new prototype parts to Aigen, and the tests have been very promising so far. Me and Serpent are very interested in becoming competitive, that’s why I decided to start with Serpent in this class. This company has made it possible for me to drive RC cars at the highest level in the past, which was also rewarded with the world championship title. We have always managed to make the cars competitive, and I hope we can do the same in this class. Of course it takes time, but we are making great progress race by race. I hope and would be absolutely happy to make it into the A-main again, the starting field for Aigen is absolutely worthy of a World Championship. At the moment I’m not in a position to fight at the front, our team is still very small, so it’s difficult to collect data with so few cars on the grid at the moment. Orlowski is absolutely world class at the moment, it will be exciting to see him against Bruno. I’m really looking forward to the weekend.

Dominic Greiner (DE) Serpent

Awesomatix drivers expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

Awesomatix was the team to beat in Aigen last year. They had been able to win three out of four touring car classes with Marc Rheinard (Modified), Michel Zierold (40+ Masters), and Daniel Pöhlmann (21.5 Stock). With all classes having numbers of top drivers listed for this coming weekend, the Awesomatix team around team manager Max Mächler will have a lot of work to do if they want to repeat the results from 2023. We have spoken to a few Awesomatix drivers ahead of ETS RD2 Season #17 2024/25….

Cayote power gives Rheinard wings as he aims for a second consecutive Aigen win

“Orlowski will be the man to beat but I will give everything to challenge him and all the others in the best field of drivers we had in a while”

After a pretty good ETS season opener in Apeldoorn, I am looking forward to travel to the beautiful place in Aigen-Schlägl. My pace was really good in Apeldoorn which keeps me confident for RD2 of the championship. Last year I was able to win in Aigen after nice battles on track with Eric, Jan, and Ronald. My power package is really good now as the new Cayote stuff is working amazingly well so far. I try to be as competitive as possible and will go to some other track in Austria to test with Hara in the week before the ETS. We will see the strongest field of drivers since a very long time in Aigen as the Xray guys will join us there as well. I am sure that Bruno will be on point and that Michal Orlowski will be the man to beat once again. I am in a good mood and will throw everything I can at them to win the race!

Marc Rheinard (DE) Awesomatix | Cayote

Urbain aiming to build up speed incrementally over the course of the weekend

“The plan is to grab a few headlines during the weekend in Aigen”

Having in mind that I had to skip last year’s Aigen round I do have to admit I feel slightly behind regarding track knowledge. Sure I was there when the ETS first visited Aigen two years ago but a lot has changed since then, notably the tires, so I am sure it will feel totally different to how I recall it. Still I have very fond memories of my first visit at the track, great layout, facilities and club in general, so I know at the very least I am gonna enjoy that.
I contemplated whether or not making the trip to go testing there before the race, but I am always worried to find completely different track conditions to what we will race on and therefore being thrown off setup-wise and stuck with wrong ideas. Rather the plan is to approach it with an open mind, watch my rivals if I can and build speed incrementally over the course of the weekend.
I know my package from Apeldoorn is strong, and it proved to be equally effective at the EC warmup so I trust it to keep delivering in Aigen. With the return of team Xray plus Akio and Hayato making the trip again it is probably the most stacked ETS round in a very long while. I feel very much hyped up by that! Overall it sounds like a fun weekend of racing ahead and the plan is to grab a few headlines along the way if I can!

Lucas Urbain (FR) Awesomatix |Orca

Ellerbrock is on a winning streak – can he make it three out of three in Pro Stock?

“I have a good feeling right now, especially with our new FD Flex Damper Set which seems to be a great update for the A800R”

After two wins in a row, I’m heading to Aigen with a good feeling, even if it hasn’t been my best track in the past. But we gained important insights for the track last year and have a very strong start set-up which should also work well in Aigen. So of course, I hope to be able to fight for first place in Aigen again and secure important points for the championship.
Two weeks ago, the EC Warm Up in Belgium went very well for me. As I was only able to arrive on Friday evening, I had less practice than many others, but I was right on pace for the first qualifying. In the end, I started from second place and was able to maintain this position in the finals. So, Ollie and I were able to clinch a nice double victory for the team.
Car wise, the most interesting new feature on the car is the FD Flex Damper Set, which is effectively a new top deck. We have already had some good experiences in the first tests, so it will of course be exciting to see how it performs in Aigen. I’m sure it will be another very close battle for the win, where the most important thing will probably be qualifying. Ollie and Adam will certainly be in the fight again, but there are plenty of other fast drivers with good chances, so you never know who is the main competitor before the race. Aigen is simply a great track with a really nice layout and great organization around the track. In the past, it has usually been very hot in Aigen, which could of course be a factor in the set-up and how to manage the tires.

Lukas Ellerbrock (DE) Awesomatix | Nosram

Hara to visit Aigen for the first time

“Last time, I missed the A-Main due to my own mistakes, but I have enough speed to aim for the A-Main”

I have never been to Aigen. I get the impression from people’s reviews and videos that it is very nice! I can’t wait to hit in Aigen track!! Aigen is a very high speed layout, so a little mistake could be a tragedy in the Mod class. The car setup will need to be very stable. I used an Awesomatix A800R at the last race in Apeldoorn supported from Zero Tribe and will be racing again with my brother Marc Rheinard, with the help of Team Coyote and Toni Sport. Last time I missed the A-Main due to my own mistakes, but I have enough speed to aim for the A-Main, which gives me confidence. My A800R supported by Zero Tribe has a wider range of setups now and I have been able to adapt it more to my liking. Some new parts will be added as well. I heard that Xray’s team will be at Aigen, so I expect Michal Orlowski, Bruno, Marc, and others will be competing for the top. I will do my best to make it into the big show 🙂

Schumacher driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

It will be the first trip for Michal Orlowski to Aigen-Schlägl as he missed out this race in last two years due to Offroad racing commitments. The championship leader was already in Aigen for some practice and highlighted the facility on his social media accounts. Mattia Collina, Ollie Payne, and other fast drivers will represent Schumacher in Aigen to aim for top results. Can Orliowski continue his dominance in Aigen against a firle of world class drivers?

Champion Orlowski looking forward to his Aigen debut

“Wow, what a facility… I can`t wait to race my Mi9 on this track”

I have never been to Aigen before and my expectations are extremely high, since everyone is hyping up this track. I can’t wait for Thursday practice at ETS! The start of the season in Apeldoorn was extremely strong for us despite Mattia Collina not being able to attend. Since he is a crucial part of our team, I am looking forward to see how strong we can be in Austria. We are always working on ways to make our package faster on the track. I am looking forward to being able to battle with the XRAY team at ETS after a long break and of course the usual suspects Marc, Ronald, Lucas and my mechanic Mattia Collina, who was blazing fast here last year.

Michal Orlowski (PL) Schumacher | Hobbywing

Collina hopes for consistency in qualifying

“It is great to see many Italian drivers signing up – I really hope for an ETS race in Italy to happen again”

Looking forward to a strong showing at ETS RD2 in Aigen! The Aigen track is a favorite, with its challenging layout, stunning Austrian scenery, and the exceptional organization by ETS and MAV Aigen-Schlägel crews. Last year, I was competitive but qualifying hiccups kept me out of the A-main. This year, consistency will be key to reach the A-main, especially with the high level of competition expected. An extra element of excitement: a larger Italian contingent of drivers and friends will be there! Hopefully, an ETS race in Italy becomes reality someday. For the team, focus remains on maximizing the Mi9 platform’s performance alongside Michal and Andy. Michal and the car have been dominant for the past 18 months, but we know the competition won’t rest. We’ll keep pushing to improve the platform and find those crucial tenths in this professional and competitive field.

Mattia Collina (IT) Schumacher | Hobbywing

Payne hoping to fight for top results in ProStock

“My package is awesome this season and I am lookig forward to see how it will work at the ETS”

Im hoping to be able to compete at the top of the prostock class and potentially fight for podiums. My whole package has been incredible this season and i could really expect anymore, have already wrapped up the BRCA title recently i look forward to seeing how it performs at the ETS-. Im very much looking forward to returning to ETS, this will be my first ETS where i feel i can really challenge for a good result. But either way I’m sure the event will be amazing and i will enjoy it a lot!

Xray driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

The Xray team will be back at the ETS in Aigen in full force with Bruno Coelho and Alexander Hagberg leading the team. The Euro Touring Series is very happy to see them back on the list of entries and we asked Bruno, Alex, and Adam about their thoughts for the race in Aigen. However, we can be sure that the Xray drivers wil be in the mix for great results at ETS RD2 and we can`t wait to see them on track….

Hagberg hopes to fight for the sharp end with team Xray back at the ETS in full force

“We are working to further improve the car. Testing option and development parts in race conditions is a major aspect of it”

I’m really looking forward to the event! Not only by the fact that our team is back at the ETS in full force for the first time in years, but because I’m really enjoying the track and facilities in Aigen. It’s a fast and challenging track with good grip, and it’s really fun to race on! I’m hoping to fight for the sharp end in the ultra-competitive modified class. Myself and my team have prepared as well as we can for this big event – let’s see how we stack up!
In terms of my racing package – we’re using our X4’24 chassis, close to its kit (asphalt version) form, with a few option parts. Who knows, we might even have some development parts ready in time for the race? As of lately, I’m using my fast and reliable Hobbywing and Nosram power package. Hobbywing ESC & motor, and Nosram batteries. I am looking forward to put my car down on track in a couple of days at the event in Aigen!

Alexander Hagberg (SE) Xray | Hobbywing

Coelho starts to focus on his touring car programme to prepare for the worlds in November

“I expect Orlowski and Urbain to be very strong in Aigen as they are on top of their game now”

I like the Aigen facility a lot. The layout and the place is very nice. I’ve been there for an ENS race some years ago, and it was amazing. The team is going to work hard to bring home the best result possible. It’s always difficult as the competition is very high, but I’m sure we will do our best. The team is aiming for the Worlds in the USA, so every race is super important for us to gather as much information as possible.
As I am driving in many categories, my 2024 was not only about preparing for touring car races so far. But with the Worlds taking place this year, I will try to focus more on the touring program for the next few months until the Worlds. We are working very hard on the car and possible future options, but I am sure we will be very competitive in Aigen with the current package we have.
About the ETS in general, the competition is super high at the moment and last weekend in Belgium (euros warmup) was a first prove of that. But in this moment, there are in my point of view two names that come up when talking about biggest possible opponents at the ETS. Michal Orlowski is for sure the man to beat now. He has been crazy fast lately, and I’m really happy to see that the most experienced drivers have finally accepted that the talented young generation is coming. When everything is perfect, it can lead to wins with huge margins, like he has been doing lately. Lucas has also been on point many times, and since he became an RC professional, he has made a great big step forward, he is the prove of hard work and dedication bring results without excuses. I’m happy for him, he truly deserves it. So that’s my bet for Aigen.

Izsay confident to be competitive in Aigen after having a perfect weekend in 2023

“Last year`s weekend in Aigen was unbelievable and I still have so many great memories. I will push hard to win the Pro Stock class again”

I really like the track in Aigen, as it has a very good flow and great traction. We hope we can achieve good results, our car was working very well there last year, so we can’t wait for this year. I couldn’t participate on the first round in Apeldoorn as we had XRS Grand final in Hudy arena and the EC warmup in Belgium. We are always looking for the maximum performance, but my car and electronics are still the same as on the races before. I watched the race in Apeldoorn and obviously the previous season i expect Lukas, Ollie and Tim to be very fast in Aigen as well.

Axon driver expectations for ETS RD2 in Aigen-Schlägl, AUT

0

The Axon team will send their two Japanese top drivers Akio Sobue and Hayato Ishioka to Aigen for ETS RD2. Both showed a great pace at their last race on this particular track and we are already looking forward what the small team can do against all the others in Austria.Their actual TC10/3 touring car is looking really good on track and Akio and Hayato are both ultra-fast. Let`s find out what they had to say prior to the event…

Sobue hopes for another podium in Aigen and is happy about new upgrades for the car

“We tested a lot after the Apeldoorn race and I think we are ready for Aigen”

I am really looking forward to race in Aigen again. I have some great memories to the race in 2022 where I had a serious chance to win. With even more top drivers signed up for this year, I am also more motivated for some great fights on track. My Axon team mate Hayato Ishioka will also come to the race. He had a good pace in Aigen too and we both hope for a great result.
After the ETS in Apeldoorn we tested a lot and we will have some upgrade parts with us for the race in Aigen. It will be tough to get to the top against Michal, Marc, Bruno, Ronald, and all the others but that`s part of the game. I hope to see some Axon customers there again as we already had two cars in the Pro Stock A-Main in Apeldoorn which was super nice for our brand!

Akio Sobue (JP) Axon | Orca

Ishioka excited to be back at the ETS after Aigen 2022

“ETS races are great because the best drivers in the world are racing on the highest level of our sport”

After a long time, I am really looking forward to race again at the ETS. These races are always bringing the best drivers in the world together which is just fantastic. Currently, our Axon car is working great on asphalt and I will do my best to show a good pace in Austria. When I raced there in 2022, I liked the track a lot as it was fast, flowing, and really challenging as well. I am super excited for the race!

Power HD Direct Mount Servo for Schumacher Mi9

0

Servo manufacturer Power HD has released a new direct mount servo for the Schumacher Mi9 touring car. When using a direct mount servo, drivers can replace all the original servo mount parts to bold the servo directly onto the chassis. It reduces the CG a bit and looks way more clean and amazing in the car.

With the integrated CNC servo mount, this S15-S can be mounted directly to the Schumacher Mi9 and fits perfectly to the original servo mount bolt hole.

The drect mounting and reverse receiver wire output provide tidy wiring and reduce the overall weight, helping to lower the vehicle chassis center of gravity.

The S15-S has the same superior performance as the popular S15 and can be programmed with the Power HD Progrm Box PG-CB63. It also supports the FLYSKY i-BUS2 protocol to set your favorite parameters for different tracks to achieve better lap times and steering.

Used by World Champion Michal Orlowski during his successful 2024 Touring Car campaign, final TQ and victory at the 2024 ETS round1 in Apeldoorn, with Power HD S15-S in Schumacher Mi9!.

Features:

  • Direct Mount for Schumacher Mi9
  • black anodized aluminum housing with color accent
  • Digital brushless low profile servo
  • JR connector with short black receiver cable (80mm)
  • Brushless motor
  • Aluminum + titanium gearbox
  • Operating voltage: 6.0 to 8.4 volts
  • Actuating force at 6.0V: 11.5 kg-cm
  • Actuating force at 7.4V: 15.0 kg-cm
  • Actuating time to 60° only 0.072 sec at 6.0V, and only 0.060 sec at 7.4V
  • Dimensions 41.0 x 20.0 x 26 mm
  • Weight: 52g
  • Servo horn required: 25 teeth (not included)

Awesomatix A12WC and A12X Pan Car kits

0

Awesomatix introduces not one, but two new 12-series kits, the A12WC and the A12X.

The first is a refined version of the earlier A12 kit, which was first introduced during the 2020 World Championship and with which Awesomatix team boss Max Mächler was recently crowned IFMAR Spec World Champion.

The A12WC kit incorporates the proven A12 concept where the rear suspension action is controlled by the flex of the chassis itself, supported by a pair of side coil springs that also act as an additional rear spring.

The chassis shape is new and has been refined to further improve flex distribution while integrating the rear strut.

The latter kit, designated A12X, has a slightly more traditional 12 scale design, with the side and rear springs acting independently. This is achieved by a built-in coil spring in the rear damper and new side coil springs positioned at the very front of the chassis. The new steel chassis lowers the center of gravity even further and allows for a narrower and slimmer overall design.

Common to both kits is a new engine mount design fitted into the chassis that further improves the vehicle’s torsional rigidity and makes it virtually bulletproof in the event of a hard crash, a new battery plate coupled with a new front suspension plate that allows for a wider range of rollover centers, new left and right rear hubs that allow for more accurate and reliable mounting for a wider range of wheels, and two new tools for precise adjustment during the build and fine-tuning of the vehicle setup.

In addition, both kits retain the same front-end concept as the original A12, with quick camber adjustments through rotating steering columns, coil front springs and multiple front damping configurations controlled by O-rings and/or different grease viscosities, while front caster adjustments are achieved through optional steering columns.

Awesomatix A12X Features:

– New rear/side suspension system with side coil springs and independent center rear coil spring that do not interfere with each other. The vertical stiffness of the rear nacelle can be adjusted without affecting the lateral roll stiffness. The lateral roll stiffness of the rear nacelle can be adjusted without affecting the vertical stiffness.

– New battery plate – updated for the installation of different roll center sets and for the new side suspension system.

– New steel chassis with integrated rear strut. The steel material ensures a particularly low center of gravity and reduced width.

– New lightweight steering columns.

– New engine mount and left bulkhead with “keyed” mounting bolts to prevent slippage in the event of a collision.

– New rear damper with “built-in” rear spring.

– New rear strut that works together with the new rear spring unit.

– New front suspension plate – updated for installation of different rollover centers.

– New left and right rear axle hubs with increased contact area for more stable wheels.

– Three new tools in the kit – 6/7mm wrench, 1.5mm hex wrench and rear suspension adjustment gauge.

 Awesomatix A12WC Features:

– Same proven rear/side spring system as the A12.

– Updated side spring mounting system and new body/spring retainers for easier switching between narrow and wide side spring positions.

– New battery plate – updated for installation of different roll center sets.

– New aluminum chassis with updated flex distribution including the rear strut.

– New lightweight steering block supports.

– New engine mount and left bulkhead with “keyed” mounting bolts to prevent slippage in the event of a crash.

– New stiffer and stronger rear strut.

– New front suspension plate – updated for installation of different rollover centers.

– New left and right rear axle hubs with increased contact area for more stable wheels.

– Two new tools in the kit – 6/7mm wrench and the gauge for rear suspension adjustments.

INFO: The electronic components shown in the pictures are NOT included in the kit!
