Atfer ETS RD2 of Season #19, we take a look onto the standings of the constructors championship. It was a great weekend for XRAY at their headquaters, and they managed to extend their lead in the points standings to eight points over Awesomatix. As in the past two years, the fight for the title seems to unfold between these two teams again….
1. XRAY (1203 pts) – Great team effort on home ground!
The whole Xray team looked very strong on their home ground in Trencin. Their counted points came from Jan Ratheisky (302|Pro Stock), David Ehrbar (302|40+ Masters), Filip Bortoli (300|21.5 Stock), and Alexander Hagberg (299|Modified). Xray had the most cars in all the A-Mains which was kind of expected on home soil, but they has to work very hard for that against the strong competition! Throw-out result: Gergö Valent (299|FWD).
2. AWESOMATIX (1198 pts) – Successful damage limitation!
It was not an easy weekend for Team Awesomatix in Trencin. But at the end of the weekend, they “only” lost 5 points to Xray and are still the second best team of the season with a direct contact to the top. Against the mighty Xray team, the points for Awesomatix had been deliveres by Olivier Bultynck (300|Pro Stock), Kevin Schmid (300|FWD), Michel Zierold (299|40+ Masters), and Stefan Hois (299|21.5 Stock). Throw-out result: Simon Lauter (296|Modified)
3. MUGEN (1182 pts) – Another weekend behind Xray and Awesomatix..!
It was another rock-solid weekend for Mugen Seiki – but not more than that. Not all drivers reached their expected results and the team scored three fifth places and one eleventh spot. The points looked like that: Ronald Völker (297|Modified), Sören Sparbier (297|Pro Stock), Richard Oversloot (297|21.5 Stock), Werner Schmitzer (291|40+ Masters).
4. SCHUMACHER (895 pts) – Best of the rest!
Schumacher is constantly delivering points in Modified and one (or two) other classes. But they never managed to have cars in all A-Mains since the constructors championship got started 2 years ago. This is holding them off from fighting for a top result. At the Hudy Arena, they had a good weekend and scores points with Michal Orlowski (302|Modified), Robin van Gog (302|FWD), and Mark Valent (291|Pro Stock).
5. ARC (891 pts) – Climbed up from P7 to P5 in the standings
ARC made the biggest step in the standings when they moved up from P7 to P5. Three strong A-Main results (including one victory) had been responsible for that and the points counted had been sealed by race winner David Kuschnarew (301|21.5 Stock), Helge Johannessen (293|Pro Stock), and Patrick Sommer (297|40+ Masters). A very positive trend for the team!
6. RC MAKER (582 pts) – New SP2 is coming soon…!
The RC Maker team had two drivers making A-mains. Not bad when keeping in mind that it is still a small and young team. Antoine Brunet (291|Modified) and Valentino Malighetti (291|FWD) scored the points at the Hudy Arena keeping the team ranked in sixth place. The new RC Maker SP2 car will come soon – maybe it can boost the team to even better results!
7. INFINITY (300 pts) – Coelho is not enough..!
Infinity has one of the most impressive driver lineups we can think about – Coelho, Wilck, Groskamp, Matsukura, and many others – but only in Modified. In the stock classes, they are missing some top drivers. Nico Catelani is very fast, but in Trencin he missed the Pro Stock A-main. Because of that, only Bruno Coelhos collected points (300|Modified) for the team.
8. SERPENT (294 pts) – the Greiner show continues
Nothing new to say about Serpent. The car always looks fast and it wqas once again all about Dominic Greiner to score the only points for them (294|Modified). Easy to say for the media but without some more drivers the brand will never be able to climb up the ladder in the ETS constructors championship!
9. IRIS (292 pts) – first points of Seaosn #19
Even if they are ranked low in the standings, Iris managed to score points with Loris Buchhalt (292|FWD) in Trencin. The last season went very well for the Iris team when they finished fourth overall in the standings after constantly scoring points with two or more drivers. Now, they are far away from that and need to impove during the next three races.
10. YOKOMO (0 pts) – no points for Yokomo
Yokomo did not collect any points iat the Hudy Arena. Their top driver Christopher Krapp was not in attendance and the rest of the team did not make an A-Main. Still a difficult situation for the famous Japanese brand. They are working hard and we see more Yokomo cars in the pits again. Let`s see what will happen. For now, they are dead last in the standings!
