Mugen Seiki factory driver has announced his departure from Mugen Seiki today on his social media account (Facebook). It is a surprising move in the middle of the season and we are excited to find out about the future of the record ETS champion. Here is the statement Ronald posted on Augzst 11, 2026:
After nearly 6 years, my time with Mugen Seiki has come to an end and it is time to take on a new adventure ahead.
I am very thankful for the opportunity at Mugen Seiki. I was not only involved as a driver, I enjoyed working closely together with the whole team – especially Robert Pietsch who I spent the most time with on and off the track. I’m also very grateful for the support from Stefan Habbecke at Mugen Seiki Europe (MSE) and of course everyone at Mugen Seiki Japan.
We achieved great results with the MTC2, MTC2-R and MTC3 platforms and I am proud to be a part of Mugen Seiki’s rise in the touring car classes over that period.
Alongside many wins and podiums around the world, the highlights are securing 2x ETS Championships and 3x National Championships whilst representing Mugen Seiki.
I simply can’t thank enough everyone who supported either the brand or myself during this time. I can’t list all the names, but everyone who knows, knows! I absolutely would not change a thing from my time with all of you!
I wish the whole Mugen Seiki company, team and customers all the very best in their future!
