Orlowski wins A1 in front of an unleashed Izsay, and Rheinard

Matrix Modified

Michal Orlowski (Schumacher) took the win in the first leg of Matrix Modified A-Mains on Saturday evening. Orlowski had a perfect start and saw Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix) following him relatively close for 7 laps until Urbain crashed in the tight chicane on the left side of the track. Urbain lost his position and Adam Izsay (Xray) and Marc Rheinard (Awesomatix) took over second and third place. After five minutes, Orlowski completed his mission and won A1 with 0.5 seconds in front of a hard pushing Adam Izsay. Rheinard, Collina, and Iivonen rounded out the top 5.

A1 goes to Awesomatix and Bultynck

Ollie Bultynck showed no doubt that he wants to take nothing than a win away from the Sporthotel Grafenwald in Daun. Bultynck launched his A800R off the line and never looked back. He drove a perfect race and crossed the finish line with a gap of one second ahead of Xray`s Adam Izsay and Mugen Seiki`s Sören Sparbier. The Mugen driver was on the rear bumper of Izsay in the last two minutes of the race but was not able to find a way by Izsay who just stayed calm. Lukas Ellerbrock finished fourth in A1 and needs to improve tomorrow if he doesn`t want to lose more points to Bultynck and Izsay in the overall championship standings!

Hobbywing Frontwheel

Clinic drive from Izsay in front of a super-quick Borschel

TQ Adam Izsay made no single mistake in A1 of the Hobbywing Frontwheel class. Izsay had Roman Borschel in the rear-view mirror of his Xray car for the entire 5 minutes and it was a pure joy to watch them driving around the track. Awesomatix racer Borschel was showing a lot of patience and it looked like he had the faster car, but Izsay was just standing his ground like a champion. In the last 2 minutes of the race, Mark Valent joined the party with his Schumacher car and waited for something to happen in front. But as they ran out of time, Izsay took the win from Borschel, Valent, Moorey and Heitsch.

1up Racing 40+ Masters

Ehrbar with a real Masterclass in A1

Top Qualifier David Ehrbar had a perfect race in the first A-Main. The Xray driver was holding off his teammate René Kölbel who was following him in a couple of tenths for the entire race. Ehrbar drove it nice and clean and is only one final away from the overall victory at his debut in the 40+ Masters class. Kölbel, Dinger, Morgen, and Schmitzer completed the top 5 in A1.

Orca 21.5 Stock

Langner shows strong nerves through a lot of traffic and wins A1 ahead of Bergheim

In the Orca 21.5 Stock class, top qualifier Phil Langner was leading the field around the first laps with Tristan Bergheim right in tow. Jan Gehrig followed a little behind them in third spot and had a battle against Jan Vogler and Frank Fuchs for positions three, four, and 5.
In lap 16, Bergheim lost about 4 seconds which was a huge break for race leader Phil Langner. But the leading youngster had to survive many critical moments in the last minute of the race when many lapped drivers crashed in front of him. But somehow, Langner managed to drive through the carnage and took the win in front of Bergheim and Gehrig. A2 will be on the line on Sunday morning, and we are already looking forward to it!

ToniSport Formula

Stiebler wins A1 in kind of a classic Formula 1 race

Not a lot happened in the front of the first ToniSport Formula A-Main. Andreas Stiebler got off the line perfectly and was in control of the race all the time. The same for Jan Ratheisky and David Ehrbar. After 5 minutes, they crossed the finish line as they had started. The biggest winners of the race had been Andy Murray (from 7 to 4), Herbert Weber (from 10 to 5), and Marc Rahn (from 11 to 6). Schumacher`s Andreas Stiebler will start on pole again in A2 and all he has to do is repeating A1 – sounds easy doesn`t it 😊
