Body Shell List Season #19 2026/27

Today we like to give you some information about the official body shell list for ETS Season #19 2026/27. The list is almost completed as we are only missing some small information here and there. The system with the body shell listing is working fine now since many years and we will stick to that for the new ETS campaign.

The deadline to list any body shell for the first race of the season is Wednesday, April 29, 2026. The listed body shell MUST be available to the public on this day as well (the reference shop is ToniSport).

As always, the bodies for FWD, 40+ Masters, and 21.5 Stock are only allowed to use in 0,7 material thickness versions. The Modified and Pro Stock racers can use all available versions of the listed bodies – from ultralight over lightweight up to standard.

Bittydesign

New body for FWD listed with the A3-F

Italian manufacturer Bittydesign has listed their new A3-F body shell for the FWD class to replace the CA45. Furthermore, the company will stick to the Eptron and the Hyper HR body shells in touring car with one spot open for a new body shell release to follow during the season. The new body shell can be listed before any further ETS race of the season, as long as it is available to the public 4 weeks before the specific race.

Apeldoorn INFO PACKAGE RD1 Season #19 2026/27

We have just brought ETS Season #18 to an end, but it is already time to prepare the next one. Season #19 is just around the corner and we will kick it off at AMCA Apeldoorn in the Netherlands like in the years before. The club has put in a lot of work and effort to further improve their amazing facility and we are already looking forward to when the cars will hit the AMCA track at the end of May 2026.

Entry Process

  • We will open the entries on MyRCM on Tuesday 7 April 2026 at 20:00 CET.
  • The limit of entries is set to 320, all other entries will be on waiting list.
  • Our entry fee for Season #19 is 75€ per class and is NOT including a set of tires.
“We have changed this to make our book keeping more easy and efficient. In the same moment, the entry fee has increased by 10€. This increase was unavoidable for us, as we too are affected by steadily rising costs across all areas. Nevertheless, we have kept the increase as small as possible!”
  • The registration fee must be paid into the bank account specified on MyRCM by 28 April; this gives you a three-week deadline. You can also pay with Paypal now directly via MyRCM.
  • A fee of 10€ must be paid to the AMCA Apeldoorn club on Thursday.
“We know that we are already doing seeding practice on Thursday, but the 10€ fee is mandatory for all clubs working with us and can therefore not get included into the entry fee.”

Practice Tires

With the start of ETS Season #19 2026/27, racers MUST pay and take the practice tires which they have pre-ordered during the entry process. It has become “state of the art” that many racers are pre-ordering practice tires to just notice (at the event) that they don`t need them.

We need to get on top of this now. Please make yourself comfortable with the new rule and pre-order only what you want to buy. The maximum quantity of practice tires racers can pre-order is 4 sets per class (which is enough).

We will publish further information regarding payment for the practice tires, which should also be done prior to the event. This will also simplify the process of collecting the tires at the track, as everything is much easier when the tyres have already been paid for in advance!

Rule Changes

FlySky Frontwheel

From the start of Season #19, FWD racers are allowed to use TWO sets of Ride (RI-36086) race tires instead of only one. The race tires must to be in use with the start of the first round of qualifying. In practice and seeding, racers can run their practice tires however they want to do it.
It is also allowed to use the race tires in a seeding round, it just depends on the time we are able to hand out the race tires. We will take care that it will be the same for everybody!

Only the Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Justock G3S V2 speed controller is allowed to use. The ESC will be available soon – further infos to follow. We will have enough rental ESC`s in Apeldoorn to make sure that everybody will be able to use it!

Matrix Formula

There are also some changes coming to the Matrix Formula class. Following extensive discussions, it was decided that we need to slow the cars down slightly.

Therefore, with immediate effect, we will be using the Hobbywing Xerun V10 G4R (2-3s) Sensored Brushless Motor 21.5T (the same one we use in the 40+ Masters and 21.5 Stock classes). The ESC remains the same, but will now be operated in Blinky Mode (no more RPM limiter).

We have also decided to allow all cars which are officially available on the market (for example Exotek, CRC, Xray, Schumacher, Tamiya…) as long as they are having the rough chassis shape and the look of an F1 car. If something totally awkward will be running on track, we still reserve the right to ban the car. Please, do not build some unnecessary outlaw prototypes…

Monday before the race in Apeldoorn

Some important information regarding the Monday before the ETS in Apeldoorn. This Monday (25 May 2026) is a public holiday in many European countries (Whit Monday).

Normally, the track is always closed from Monday to Wednesday prior to an ETS. We will continue to follow this practice in future.

However, due to the public holiday, AMCA Apeldoorn has decided to open its doors and allow EVERYONE who wishes to come to practice. This will NOT be a special practice day for 1:10 electric cars. If you are travelling to Apeldoorn on this day, please be aware that other scales (1:8, Nitro cars, electric cars) will also be on the track. It is a practice day like any other. This day is very important for the club, which is why the track is officially open! It is a decision of the club which we need to respect.

The track is CLOSED on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY before the ETS…!!!

Technical Rules for ETS Season #19 2026/27

ETS YOUNG TALENTS – Interview with David Reip

0

ETS: Welcome to the ETS family. It was only a matter of time, wasn’t it?

David: Of course, for me, the ETS is the most prestigious racing series in the world.

ETS: Can you still remember your first RC car and how you got into your first race?

David: My first RC car was a Tamiya Mini-Fighter. I think I got it when I was 4 or 5 years old. At first, I just drove it on the road. When I was 6, I took part in my first race at my big brother’s school, but by then I was already driving a Tamiya DT-02.

What has been the most difficult moment of your RC career so far?

My toughest moment so far was probably the 2025 EFRA European Championships, where I had two radio dropouts out of the blue and my car crashed into the wall at full throttle. I was already facing quite a few challenges with the conditions during that race, and the radio dropouts made the situation even more difficult. Nevertheless, I was able to take a lot away from that race and gained valuable experience.

We’ve known each other for a few days now. So why don’t you tell us a bit about your journey from the Tamiya Fighter Cup to the ETS

Until 1.5 years ago, I only raced in the Tamiya Cup and even there I had my struggles with the cars, as I still knew very little about any car beyond the Tamiya Fighter Buggy. Fortunately, two good friends from Holland, Maarten Wouters and André Heskamp, who also travelled to the Tamiya Cup once a year, invited me to drive their car at a TOS race in Augsburg. After this test race, I got my own touring car for Christmas. About three weeks later, I competed in the ETS in Daun, where I managed to finish in 7th place straight away. After that, things went from strength to strength and I competed in more and more races.

The commitment shown by the Anna Schmidt School is quite exceptional. We should all hope that other schools follow their example. However, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to secure support from manufacturers or retailers. What do you think about that?

I think what the Anna Schmidt School set up many years ago is a prime example of how the hobby can be introduced to people in a positive way. The commitment came not only from the children, but particularly from the parents as well. The competition has always led to very close but fair battles on the track at the school and to excellent results for the school in the Tamiya Fighter Cup. With the help of the model shop “MZ-Modellbau”, the club has always been able to welcome new pupils and get them excited about the hobby. It was a very good concept, but one that can only be sustained with the parents’ commitment.

Do you spend a lot of time working on the setup, or are you more the type who says, “more driving than tinkering”?

These days, I do give a lot of thought to the car’s handling and setup, even whilst I’m driving. Fortunately, though, I’m surrounded by lots of experienced and helpful people who give me a hand when I’m stuck.

What do you get up to when you’re not racing at the weekends? Do you have any other hobbies?

Outside of RC racing, I’m quite busy with school. I’m sitting my A-levels next year. I also go to the gym and play the drums. Otherwise, I spend a lot of time out and about with my friends.

Do you have a favourite race track? If so, tell us a bit about it and why you prefer it?

When it comes to choosing a favourite track, I’m torn between Apeldoorn and Luxembourg. For me, those two tracks are the best I’ve raced on so far and the ones I’ve enjoyed the most. I think Apeldoorn is just a little bit higher up the list because I’ve had so many positive and negative experiences there, from which I’ve learnt a great deal and been able to develop as a result. I’ll be racing and training on a few other tracks in 2026. We’ll see if those two tracks can hold their position.

Do you have a favourite driver or role model in RC car racing? You can select more than one answer.

My biggest RC role model is Ronald Völker. Ever since I’ve been part of the ETS scene, Ronald has made a lasting impression on me as a role model, because for me there are very few drivers who put as much work into their success as he does. I admire that greatly and it also drives me to stay on the ball and be consistent. I also really like his manner, as I get on very well with him on a personal level and always come away from conversations with him with a smile. In second place for me is Simon Lauter. He has followed a similar path to the one I’m currently on. He also started out in the Tamiya Cup, and he too demonstrates what is possible in this sport with hard work, consistency and experience. Max Mächler is also a great role model, as he always comes across as very professional and works extremely hard for success.

Congratulations on your victory in Race Truck and second place in the Euro-TW class at the 2025 Tamiya Euro-Cup Germany Final in Neustadt.

Thank you very much.

A simple question. Why do you race in the ETS now?

I race in the ETS because, for me, it’s the strongest competition with the highest calibre of international drivers. What’s more, since my first ETS race, I’ve had the chance to meet so many people who have since become really good friends, and I’m always delighted to see them whenever I do.

Does the experience you’ve gained from the ETS carry over to the TEC races, or would you say they’re two completely different things?

The experience I’ve gained from the ETS over the last year applies to every car and every racing class. I now have a much better understanding of Tamiya cars in particular and actually have no trouble at all setting them up. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to compete in any TEC races this year, as the final round clashes with the EFRA European Championship in Luxembourg. But I’m looking forward to making up for it next year.

You’re now part of Ryan Maker’s team. Tell us a bit about the team and how you’re working together.

My time with Team RC Maker has gone very well so far. Having direct contact with the car’s developer and designer is a huge advantage and will play an even bigger role in the future. As the team’s first car, the SP1 is making an exceptionally good impression and is already performing at the very highest level. Look forward to the future with RC Maker.

The title is already within reach in my very first ETS season. How does that feel?

The season is going very well. Despite a few difficulties, we’ve managed as a team to develop the car to the point where it can compete for the overall win in the 21.5 class. I didn’t expect to go into the final race of the season as the leader. I’m going into this race feeling very confident and with a lot of momentum, because I saw in Daun, in particular, how things can go when the driver stays focused and minimises mistakes. Nothing has been decided yet, though, and I’ll have to give it my all right up to the final lap to maximise the result.

Rumour has it, like so many young guns, that you’ll be switching classes from season #19 onwards and racing Pro Stock, or perhaps Modified straight away?

That’s right, from next season I’ll be focusing on the Pro Stock class and also competing in the FWD class in the ETS. I’ll also be taking part in every race I can to gain as much experience as possible.

What are your personal goals for the next few years in RC racing?

I haven’t set myself any specific goals for 2026. The only thing I demand of myself is that I approach every race with good preparation and a positive attitude. Of course, the results are important to me, but I still have a long way to go, full of learning and experience, before I reach the point where that becomes relevant.

Practice Tire Update for Season #19

0

ETS offers racing drivers the chance to pre-order tires for the race, which can then be collected directly at the track. What a great service…!

In the past, we have been a bit lazy when someone decided to not pick up the pre-ordered tire sets. From now on, we need to change this due to economical and logistical reasons.

TIME FOR A CHANGE

Racers MUST take the amount of pre-ordered tires sets at the event. We will send an invoice for the amount of pre-ordered practice tires at least 3-4 weeks before the race and drivers will only receive their tires trackside once they are paid in advance!

The standard procedure of placing the basic entry for the race will stay the same! We just want to alert everybody about this change for ETS Season #19 and we hope for your support and understanding!

5 things we learned from ETS RD5 Season #18 at Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt, AUT

0

ETS Season #18 2025/26 has come to an end at Arena Nova in Austria. As always, there had been many highlights throughout the weekend and we will never be able to spot, mention, and highlight all of them in the heat of the action. But as we like to share some things from every event, we have once again put together the “5 things we have learned from ETS RD5 at Arena Nova”…..

1)…100 ETS races are in the books!

ETS celebrates 100 races with huge driver`s dinner, emotiional moments, and some spectacular greetings from all around the world!

ONE HUNDRED…. what a number. Uwe Rheinard and Scotty Ernst have organizes 100 ETS races since the very beginning, 2008 in Kastellaun (GER). Since then, the series has grown and became the most prestigeous and most highlighted competition for electric 1:10 scale onroad racing in the world of RC. The ETS has brought up many amazing racers and champions and brought a lot of joy and fun to thousands of RC racers.

To celebrate this, the ETS crew had organized a little surprise for Scotty and Uwe on Friday evening at Arena Nova. Both had no idea that it was race 100, and during the driver`s dinner they got informed about it from Niki Doppler (town official of Wiener Neustadt), Sascha Klug (1.MRC Wiener Neustadt), and Patrick Beck (ETS Media).

Both had been very surprised and showed some real emotions when a video clip was presented in which many former ETS racers had been sending some greetings and congratulations to them. Another highlight was a limited edition T-Shirt with the name of (amost) all former ETS race winners!

On behalf of the entire ETS family, we would like to once again extend our heartfelt thanks to the core members of the ETS team – Scotty Ernst, Uwe Rheinard, Hartmut Wenzel, Jutta Treder and Malu Prümper. Thank you for 18 seasons and 100 ETS races. Here’s to many more to come…

2)…Champions are crowned!

The ceremony on Sunday was the cream on the cherry as champions received their trophies

Whenever a season comes to an end, we crown our champions. Winning an ETS title is very rewarding as drivers need to fight against the best in the business for a whole season to clinch one of the sic championship trophies. We like to congratulate all racers for their achievements in Season #18 and here are the names and pictures of our overall champions!

Modified: Michal Orlowski (POL) Schumacher | ProStock: Olivier Bultynck (BEL) Awesomatix | FWD: Phil Langner (GER) Awesomatix |40+ Masters: David Ehrbar (GER) Xray |21.5 Stock: Kristian Jensen (DNK) Xray | Formula: David Ehrbar (GER) Xray

3)…Constructors title gains importance!

Awesomatix twins Constructors Championship after hard battle with last year`s champions Xray

At the end of last season, the ETS was giving a trophy for the best constructor away for the first time. It was Xray`s Martin Hudy who was able to celebrate this title with his team. This time, Awesomatix took home the big trophy after Max Mächler received it from Scotty and Uwe after a strong team performance all season long.

Mächler was super happy about the title as it was a lot of work to collect a high numnber of points constantly at each ETS event. We could also hear more and more people talking about the constructor`s chanpionship during the season. The aspect that every drivers top result can count for the teams points is really cool and many Awesomatix racers have collected important points for the overall standngs at the end of the season.

4)…New race winners found!

Anthes, Hudy, Kriz Jun. and Buchhalt celebrating first ever ETS wins at Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt

We always like to see happy faces of first time ETS winners – and so we did in Wiener Neustadt. A total of FOUR drivers had been able to win for the first time which was simply wonderful.

Jaroslav Kriz Junior was the man of the weekend when he took the TQ and the win with his Xray X4`26 in the Pro Stock class against all of the top drivers – super impressive.

Matheo Buchhalt brought some tears of joy to the IRIS team around Andreas Myrberg when he managed to win the second and third A-Main of the FWD class after a hard and very fair fight with Kevin Schmid (Awesomatix).

Daniel Anthes secured his first ever ETS victory, and also the first one for RC Maker in the 21.5 class after a dominant weekend ahead of newly crowned champion Kristian Jensen (Xray).

Martin Hudy was the fastest racer in the Formula class and won the race with his Xray car from the pole position. Martin Hudy is such a well-known name at the ETS and nobody really knew that he had never won a race before.

Congratulations to all first time winners – you all did an amazing job!

4.1)…One to Watch!

Felix Reiser get`s the award…

The one to watch award for the event was given to young German racer Felix Reiser. He showed some really good progress during the weekend, finished on P48 in 21.5 Stock, and had a lot of fun together with his father Martin Reiser and the Iris team. We know that there had been many more kids who would have deserved this award, but this time it went to young Felix – congratulations youn gun. Felix was not at the trophy ceremony anymore and collected the trophy from the Ruddg headquater on Tuesday after the race. Thanks for the images!

5)…The Ghibli 3.0 is more than a contender – it`s already a winner!

Xtreme or Lens Bodies? What will Modified drivers choose from now on?

In the last 4-5 years, we have only seen Twister Speciale and Twister body shells from Xtreme doing really well in the Modified class. This weekend, the Lens Bodied Ghibli 3.0 had a strong showing with 6 from 11 drivers using the body in the Modified A-Main. The man behind the brand Lens Bodies is Nicola Marrone from the Hot Race Tires factory.

His first two Ghibli body shells had been “let`s say average”, but the Ghibli 3.0 seems to be right on the money. For sure, it looks very similar to a Twister, but it has some different lines on teh front hood and in the rear section to seperate it from the Xtreme bodies for sure.

Let`s see which body will have the upper hand when Season #19 will kick off in the Netherlands. Will we see a Twister VS. Ghibli fight in the future?

Awesoamtix is Constructors Champion of ETS Season #18

0

ETS Season 18 is in the books and we have a new constructors champion. After handing over this trophy for the first time at the end of last season to Martn Hudy and Team Xray, it was Awesomatix team manager Max Mächler who was receiving the trophy from Uwe Rheinard and Scotty Ernst during the price giving ceremony at Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt.

Close battle till the end – Xray and Awesomatix with another thrilling battle in Season #18

Awesomatix had a great season with so many amazing results and they had been able to beat Xray by the small margin of 22 points! During the season finale at Arena Nova, Xray and Awesomatix scored 1200 points both and no changes happened anymore in the ranking list. What a fantastic battle it was all season long.

Thirs place for Mugen Seiki without scoring points in FWD class

Mugen Seiki finished the season in third place – where they had been all season long. A good result for the team around Ronald Völker, even when we keep in mind that they never scored any points in the FWD class due to Mugen currently not having a car for this class.

IRIS fourth strongest team in Season #18

The Iris team celebrated their first ever ETS race victory at the season finale when Matheo Buchhalt brought home a hard-fought FWD win ahead of Kevin Schmid. The team scored consistant points throughout the season, especially in FWD, 21.5, and 40+ Masters and P4 overall is a great achievement for Andreas Myrberg and his gang.

Schumacher “best of the rest”

Behind the top four teams, Schumacher, ARC, and RC Maker were landing in the middle of the pack while Infinity, Yokomo, and Serpent found themselfes at the end of the field. Serpent only had Dominic Greiner scoring points, whils YOkomo was a bit better with Christopher Krapp and Frederik Hovgaard delivering at least some good results. Infinity will come back stronger next year for sure as they have not participated in the carpet races this time!

ETS Season #18 wraps up at Arena Nova with the 100th race!

0

Done and dusted – that`s what we can say about ETS Season #18 2025/26. The season came to an end with another fantastic event which was also ETS race number ONE HUNDRED. We saw spectacular races on track, celebrated a great driver`s dinner, had a lot of laughs, welcomed new racers, and are already

Champion Orlowski second overall at ETS season finale – Rheinard third!

In the third Cayote Modified A-Main, the podium positions behind race winner Ronald Völker had been up for grabs. Michal Orlowski started from the pole and was leading the race from start to finish.

Marc Rheinard looked very fast behind him as well, but the Awesomatix driver was not able to take big risks as he could have lost his podium position to his teammate Simon Lauter who was also able to stay close with the frontrunners in A3. The race was close and Orlowski brought home the win and second place overall ahead of Marc Rheinard, Simon Lauter, and David Ronnefalk.

In the overall season rankings, Völker moved up to second overall behind champion Orlowski and swapped positions with Marc Rheinard who finished the season in third place.

Izsay wins A3 ahead of Sparbier and Bultynck

Adam Izsay was able to take the win in the last Pro Stock A-Main. He drove a very clean race and took the win ahead of Sören Sparbier, Ollie Bultynck, and Louis Kretschmer. The podium saw Jaroslav Kriz Jun. stepping on the top step between Adam Izsay and Sören Sparbier, while newly crowned Pro Stock champion Ollie Bultynck finished fourth overall ahead of Mark Valent.

Buchhalt seals maiden IRIS victory at the ETS

Before the third and last FWD A-Main, there was some tension in the air as Matheo Buchhalt and Kevin Schmid both had the chance to win the overall race. Schmid took the win in A1, Buchhalt fought back in A2 and it was all on the line in the third and deciding A-Main at Arena Nova.

On the famous “sound of the tone”, pole sitter Matheo Buchhalt brought the field around the first corners of the track. Buchhalt and Schmid pulled a gap to the rest of the driver again, while Phil Langner was running a lonely race in third spot. In the last two minutes of the race, Schmid came a bit closer to the Iris car of Buchhalt in front of him.

But as Buchhalt made no mistakes anymore, Schmid was running out of time and Buchhalt celebrated his first ETS FWD victory, which also was the first one for the Iris platform designed by Andreas Myrberg and Ruddog. Congratulations to Matheo Buchhalt and his entire team for this great effort!

Ehrbar and Kölbel securing podium positions in A3

In the absence of winner Eric Anderson, it was Manuel Stankowitz who had a nice battle with David Ehrbar on the Arena Nova track. Ehrbar was all over Stankowitz and tried everything possible to force the Mugen driver into a mistake. In lap 14 of the race Stankowitz was a bit wide in the infield section and drove through the center chicane side by side with Ehrbar. Both cars touched and Stankowitz landed on the roof. Tough luck for Stanko who lost many positions, but it was just an unlucky race incident and Ehrbar just took the chance when it was there!

After the carnage, Ehrbar took the win in A3 ahead of his Xray teammate Renè Kölbel, Manuel Stankowitz, Toni Mateo, and Casper Morgen. The overall result saw Stankowitz knocked off the podium in the last minute. The two Xray drivers David Ehrbar and Renè Kölbel joined race winner Eric Anderson on the 40+ Masters podium!

Championship title for Xray`s Danish ace Jensen

Kristian Jensen took the win in the last A-Main of the weekend. Race winner Daniel Anthes watched the show from the side-line and saw Jensen taking an unchallenged win ahead of Ulrich Dinger, Krystian Kopacki, Cedric Gridelet, and David Reip. After the race, it was clear that the championship trophy would go to Denmark and Kristian Jensen.

David Reip became the vice-champion of the class and Cedric Gridelet finished the season in third place overall. Congratulations guys! The top five at the end of the race in Wiener Neustadt had been Daniel Anthes, Kristian Jensen, Ulrich Dinger, Krystian Kopacki, and Cedric Gridelet.

Ehrbar wins A3 to seal second overall behind Hudy

The last Matrix Formula final was fully in the hands of David Ehrbar. He was leading an all Xray 1-2-3 from Wojcik and Libar, while Schumacher`s Andreas Stiebler was running in fourth position for the entire race. The overall result of the Matrix Formula class saw David Ehrbar and Micha Wojcik joining race winner Martin Hudy on the podium at Arena Nova!

Völker wins second ETS in a row – Orlowski adds third championship title!

Rheinard takes second from Orlowski, Völker cruises to A2 victory

After the sensational Cayote Modified A1 on Saturday evening, the crowd expected another close battle between Völker and Orlowski. But once the race got underway, the closest battle was going on between Rheinard and Orlowski as the Awesomatix driver had a much stronger pace than in yesterday’s first fun.

Rheinard was putting on a lot of pressure on Orlowski and found his way by in lap 13 of the race when Orlowski made a small mistake before coming onto the straightway.

Orlowski struggled a bit with his car in A2 and needed to defend his third place against Simon Lauter until the very end of the run. Marc Rheinard was running in second place behind the LRP powered Mugen of Ronald Völker for the last 7 laps but could not come close enough to lead Völker into a mistake.

Völker executed another perfect run and took a well-deserved overall win away from the finale of ETS Season #18. It was Völker`s second win in a row after he won RD4 in Daun 6 weeks ago. Völker was very strong the whole weekend and won three rounds of qualifying and the first two A-Main finals – a strong statement from the Mugen driver who is absolutely back “on winning ways”.

With the result from A2, Michal Orlowski has secured the overall Cayote Modified championship title – his third in a row. Orlowski needed to score at least a fourth place overall this weekend, and nobody can kick him out of the top 4 anymore – no matter how the A3 results will look like. A very important day for the Schumacher lead driver and the whole ETS crew likes to congratulate him and the Schumacher team for another amazing achievement!

Behind the top four drivers Völker, Rheinard, Orlowski, and Lauter it was the Xray of David Ronnefalk in fifth spot followed by Sören Sparbier (Mugen), Dominic Greiner (Serpent), Christopher Krapp (Yokomo), Alexander Hagberg (Xray), Oliver Havranek (Xray), and Antoine Brunet (RC Maker) rounding out the field in the second Modified A-Main!

THE perfect weekend – Kriz Jun. takes maiden Pro Stock victory at Arena Nova!

Jaroslav Kriz Jun. had another clean start and was hammering down some hot laps. Adam Izsay was able to follow him and Kriz made a little mistake in lap 3 of the race. Kriz could feel the pressure as Izsay came closer and closer to the tail of his car.

Sparbier was running in third spot with his Mugen car ahead of Mark Valent`s Schumacher and the Awesomatix of Ollie Bultynck.

After two minutes, Kriz Jun. was completely in “the zone” and pulled a gap of 1.2 seconds over Izsay. Kriz simply executed another perfect final and celebrated his first ETS Pro Stock victory after a brilliant performance all weekend long. Congratulations for this big achievement. Behind Kriz and Izsay, the finishing order in A2 was Sparbier (3), Valent (4), and Bultynck (5).

Buchhalt takes earls morning A2 from Schmid, A3 will the decider!

After losing A1 to Kevin Schmid on Saturday, Matheo Buchhalt was under pressure when the second final started. The Austrian Iris driver had a good launch off the line and was leading the race ahead of Kevin Schmid and Phil Langner.

Buchhalt posted a hit lap in lap 4 (18.975) and had already a gap of one second over Schmid. But the German Awesomatix racer Schmid was not giving up and tried everything to close in on Buchhalt again.

Once the race progressed, the top 2 had been able to break away from third placed Phil Langner and the crowd was fully focussed on the battle for the win. This time, Matheo Buchhalt had his nerves under control and made no single mistake. He took the win in A2 ahead of Schmid, Langner, Southgate, and Dobnikar. The decision for the overall win went down to the line in the last final of the day between Kevin Schmid and TQ Matheo Buchhalt.

Anderson wins the Master`s class at ETS Season Finale

In lap one of A2, Manuel Stankowitz made an early mistake and lost three positions. David Ehrbar took over the second place and was chasing race leader Eric Anderson. Ehrbar looked really fast with his Xray car and was able to cut away some tenths of a second here and there.

After two and a half minutes, Ehrbar was only one second behind Anderson and pushed super-hard. Behind the leaders, the Mugen duo of Philipp Stadler and Manuel Stankowitz was running tin third and fourth spot.

Meanwhile, the gap between Anderson and Ehrbar remained the same and it was US racer Anderson who took the win in A2 to seal the overall victory here at the season finale of ETS Season #18 2025/26 at Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt. A massive win for Anderson and important points for Awesomatix in the battle for the constructor’s championship.

Anthes wins 21.5 Stock class for RC Maker

Top qualifier Daniel Anthes (RC Maker) won the first leg of finals on Saturday and had the chance to seal the overall win already in A2. On the sound of the tone, Anthes brought the field around the first lap where he was followed by the Xray of Kristian Jensen, and the Awesomatix of Ulrich Dinger.

Cedric Gridelet moved up to P3 quickly and out front we saw a close battle between Anthes and Jensen for the lead in A2. Jensen had a stellar pace, but Anthes was on the same level as well. Both posted 17.0 lap times and opened up a gap of more than 4 seconds over the rest of the fielduntil half-time of the race. The gap between Anthes and Jensen remained between 6 and 8 tenths of a second lap after lap and Xray driver Jensen simply had no chance to close in on the RC Maker car of Anthes.

Once the time had expired, Daniel Anthes crossed the line and celebrated his first ETS victory, and the first one for RC Maker as well – what a magic moment. Kristian Jensen finished second in A2 ahead of Gridelet, Dinger, Kordick, and Threhout.  The second leg was a nightmare for championship contender David Reip as he suffered from a unlucky DNF.

Impressive performance as Hudy wins Formula class

Martin Hudy left no doubt that he was the quickest F1 racer this weekend. He converted his pole position into a dominant win ahead of David Ehrbar with his gap being at some very impressive 5 seconds at the end of the run.

Hudy celebrated a well-deserved race win here at Arena Nova and was really happy with it when he was coming down the drivers stand. David Ehrbar and Michal Wojcik finished A2 right behind him in second and third spot.

Under the Hood – Simon Lauter`s Awesomatix A800RR

We had a chanct to top off the Xtreme Twister Speciale body shell from Simon Lauter`s car. His A800RR is equipped with the Awesomatix steel chassis, and features the BW55R battery holders to perfectly fix his Nosram 4200mAh shorty battery in the car. Beside of that, Simons car is very close to the standard kit configuration.

Setup wise they were working a lot with the length of the top links and different topdeck configurations to match the challenging track conditions at Arena Nova during the ETS weekend.

Simon is using a Hobbywing combo with the common Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Pro G3 speed controller and a Xerun V10 G3 5.0T motor. His car features a “High Performance Transponder” of which simon is very proud of – check it`s number :-).

A MKS HBL 575 SL servo is responsible for the steering and Simon is controlling his car with his well-loved Sanwa M17S radio!

MUST WATCH – Völker and Orlowski from another planet…

Völker wins A1 ahead of Orlowski as both were putting on a show!

The first A-Main is always the most magic moment of the weekend when the best in the business are going for it. And so it was during the first Cayote Modified final at Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt. The track was fully crowded before the start and the stage was set for some of the best drivers in the world to go for it.

Top qualifier Ronald Völker was bringing the field around the first corners with his LRP powered Mugen car after all racers had a great start. Völker and Orlowski managed to quickly open a small gap over the two Awesomatix A800RR cars of Marc Rheinard and Simon Lauter, while David Ronnefalk was running in fifth spot with his Xray X4`26.

Out front, Völker was driving a perfect race (hot lap 15.416), but Orlowski seemed to have a similar pace (hot lap 15.437)and his car looked really strong in all sections of the track too. Orlowski was charging super hard behind Völker and was always in striking distance. The crowd watched the race with a lot of excitement as both drivers were putting on a great show. In one lap, Völker was a tenth quicker, in the next one it was Orlowski.

The Schumacher driver was all over the Mugen car of Völker for many, many laps and was only a few centimeters away from Völker’s rear bumper – a masterclass from both drivers. Orlowski chased like a champion, Völker was defending like a hungry lion.

In the last lap of the race, Orlowski was still super close and Völker “almost” had a bad last corner allowing Orlowski to stick his nose to the inside. But somehow, Völker could hang on and took A1 from Orlowski. The crowd was going nuts and Völker celebrated with many fist pumps before he was shaking hands with Orlowski.

Behind the top duo, Marc Rheinard took third place in A1 ahead of Lauter, Ronnefalk, Greiner, Sparbier, Krapp, Hagberg, Brunet, and Havranek. What a race is was…. with two more to follow on Sunday. Make sure to not miss it and watch out live stream on RC Racing TV and our Social Media channels!

Xray`s Kriz Jun. continued to shine when he took A1 from Izsay and Sparbier

Jaroslav Kriz Jun. earned his first Pro Stock TQ in qualifying and had a great start ahead of his teammate Adam Izsay. Sören Sparbier ran in third spot, followed by Mark Valent and Ollie Bultynck. Kriz was right on the money and posted the fastest lap of the final (16.058) in the first minute of the run.

It looked like “business as usual” for Kriz and Adam Izsay was not able to come closer than 6 tenths of a second to the car in front of him. The two Xray drivers showed a real masterclass in front and Jaroslav “Jerry” Kriz brought home the win in A1 by a gap of 2.8 seconds over Izsay after a fantastic drive.

Sören Sparbier finished third in the first final and was followed by Bultynck, Valent, Kretschmer, Benson, Ratheisky, Jung, Ellerbrock, and Schmid.

Schmid wins FWD A1 after an epic battle with TQ Buchhalt

After a clean start, Matheo Buchhalt was leading the race from his hard fought TQ spot. Kevin Schmid was right on the money as well with his Awesomatix car and tried to stay as close as possible with Buchhalt. The running order behind the two leaders saw no changes with Phil Langner in third, Adam Southgate in the four, and Luca Romondia in the five.

In lap 6 of the race, Schmid dived to the inside of Buchhalt at the end of the straight, made a pass, to just lose the position again to Buchhalt who countered the attack in the next corner. Nice and clean from both drivers – that`s how respectful driving should look like.

In the last two minutes, Buchhalt was able to open a small gap of 0.8 over Schmid and had at least some breathing room with his Iris car. But in the last minute of the race, Buchhalt got a bit nervous, made some small bobbles, and Schmid was all over him again.

20 seconds before the end of the run, Schmid made a great pass on Buchhalt and took the win in A1 under the applause of the audience. What a great show of FWD racing from Schmid and Buchhalt. The story will be continued on Sunday in A2 and A3…don`t miss it!

Anderson converts pole position into A1 victory after brilliant drive!

Right after the start, the top 3 drivers checked out from the rest of the field. Ehrbar made a lot of pressure on Stankowitz while Anderson was able to pull a little gap running out front. Eric Anderson drove smooth lines and looked really confident on track with his Awesomatix A800RR.

Stankowitz and Ehrbar had a great fight for second and third and Ehrbar found no way around the Mugen of Stankowitz in the first three minutes. In lap 10 of the race, Ehrbar was able to pass Stankowitz at the end of the straight and jumped into second place.

Ehrbar then tried all he can to close the gap to Eric Anderson in the last 90 seconds of the race, but Anderson did not slow down and brought home the win in A1 some 1.3 seconds ahead of David Ehrbar, Manuel Stankowitz, Renè Kölbel, and Philipp Stadler.

Anthes holds off hard charging Jensen to win A1

After the sound of the tone, top qualifier Daniel Anthes was leading A1 with his RC Maker SP1 ahead of a very hard pushing Kristian Jensen (Xray). Both opened a huge gap over the rest of the field while Krystian Kopacki was running in third place followed by David Reip, and Aurelien Threhout.

Once the leaders approached some lapping traffic, Jensen was able to come very close to Anthes and both were running nose to tail around the track in the last minute of the race. But Anthes was able to use all his experience from his entire RC racing career and managed to win A1 from Jensen and Kopacki.

Hudy executes a perfect first final ahead of Ehrbar

After a perfect start off the line, Xray car designer Martin Hudy took over the lead and started to post some very fast lap times on the challenging track at Arena Nova. David Ehrbar was the only one who could match Hudy`s pace and stayed within a gap of half a second as both cars drove away from the rest of the field.

Michal Wojcik was running in third spot while Andreas Stiebler and Jacques Libar enjoyed a nice battle behind him for positions 4 and 5.Out front, nothing changed as Hudy and Ehrbar were equaling out themselves matching lap times lap after lap. After the five-minute run, Martin Hudy took the win in A1 ahead of David Ehrbar, Andreas Stiebler, Jacques Libar, and Michal Wojcik.
