Coelho and Wahl winning big at TITC 2023

0

The famous “Thailand International Touring Car Championship” took place at RC Addict in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend. After a 2-year Covid19 abstinence, the race was back with a full packed pit area and 400 entries in 5 racing classes. Many of the sport`s biggest names have won the TITC in the past, and it was another strong lineup of drivers fighting for success at the challenging track in Bangkok. The TITC is the biggest onroad race in Asia and always very important for all asian based companies!

Coelho wins premier Modified class ahed of Sobue and Ishioka

Bruno Coelho (Xray) was on a mission in Bangkok and claimed a hard fought pioe position after 4 rounds of qualifying. The fight for TQ was between him and Akio Sobue (Axon), with the better outcome for the portuguese driver. Coelho took the win from the sweet spot in A1 and A2 after some brilliant driving, and Sobue had to settle for a strong second place in the end with his teammate Ishioka taking third on the podium.

Wahl wins ultra competitive Open Brushless class

Awesomatix driver Tim Wahl was the man to beat in the Open Brushless class. The rules of this class allowing all 13.5T Motors including ESC boost settings made it almost as fast as modified. Tim Wahl won all four rounds of qualifying in a very impressive way with the new Awesomatix A800R touring car. Behind him, a stacked field of drivers tried everything to take the win away from Wahl but in the end Tim was celebrating a huge win together with his teammates after winning A1 and A2 in a dominant way.

Hagberg victorious at ESW RD4

0

Last weekend, the fourth round of the Essex Winter Series happened. In our report you can quickly update yourself about the action going on in England!

In Modified, Alexander Hagberg made a guest appearance, but it was his Xray team-mate who got out of the blocks first as Harley Eldridge topped the first Qualifier. Alexander got up to speed by Q2 to take control, and secured pole position. In the Final, Alexander had a unchallenged lights-to-flag win, whilst behind some close racing led to some side-by-side action, allowing Chris Grainger to take second for Schumacher, with Kyle Branson rounding out the podium.

Over in the Stock class, it was business as usual for Zak Finlay, who took command of Qualifying and led every lap of the final. Billy Fletcher was his closest challenger and looked like he could challenge early in the final, but Zak pulled away and Billy had to settle for second. Ricky Copsey made the best start and moved from sixth on the grid up to third on lap 1, and held that to the end.

Front Wheel Drive was a three way battle in both Qualifying and the Final between Shane Chipolina, Nathan Parker and Adam Southgate. Shane secured pole, but it was Adam who came through to win a very close final, with Nathan taking second and Shane third.

In Junior-E, James Snashall was the man to beat, as he took pole position and won the final. Harry Woron managed to secure second on the grid after some close fights with Chloe Snashall, and the Final ended up with the finishing order the same as the grid.

ETS Season #16 2023/24 to start in Apeldoorn,NED

0

Dear ETS family,

As we just wrapped up our season with a fantastic event in Daun, we now look forward to finalizing our plans for the 2023-2024 season. Some time ago, we put out a message to our ETS family looking for locations that we could host future ETS events at and we are thankful many of you had great suggestions that we looked into.
As we looked at new venues, we talked about hosting an event in Austria at the end of March but after much consideration and discussions with our team, it is not possible to prepare everything in such short notice for the new season.  We also know that our ETS family needs time to plan vacations, so we have decided to not have an event in such short notice. The ETS 2023-2024 Season will begin in Apeldoorn at the beginning of June.

Planning RD6 after the 2024 race in Daun to be our season final

Of course it is still our ambition to hold six races in the ETS season, we are working to find a location that will be able to host our RD6 event for this season and it will be next year after the Daun event and RD6 will be our season finale!
NOTE: The date for Round 5 in Hann. Münden will get possibly switched s to one week earlier (changed with EOS), but we will let you know in the next days. Here you can find our current schedule.

Use the break to regroup, relax, and race

We know that not everyone will be happy with this break, but it is also important for us as an organization to be able to plan the new season well and thoroughly. We hope everyone uses this time to practice, visit other clubs and races and then start again with full motivation ready for the new season at RD1 in Apeldoorn.
We have put a lot of consideration into the plans for the new season and we hope you can understand our intensions. We do have some rules changes and electronic changes planned for the new season and are working very hard to finalize all of these and will let everyone know as soon as possible to these changes.

Until then, stay safe, healthy, and keep racing -on the sound of the Tone!

Uwe , Scotty, and the whole ETS crew
