New season, new constructors championship…. After Awesomatix (Season#17) and Xray (Season#18) have taken this prestigeous title since it`s installation at the ETS two seasons ago, it is now time for the manufacturers to battle it out for another one. Apeldoorn kicked off the new season and the teams have started to collect their first points during an amazing weekend of racing. Let`s check the team results and overall standings…
The whole team looked very strong and confident and their counting points came from Jan Ratheisky (Pro Stock|300), Stefan Schulz (FWD|302), David Ehrbar (40+|302), and Max Weffers (21.5 Stock|299). Marc Rheinard scored the throw-out result (Modified|296).
2. AWESOMATIX (1200 pts) three points behind the leading Xray team
A solid start for the current constructors champions. Their points had been scored by Simon Lauter (Modified|298), Olivier Bultynck (Pro Stock|302), Elibert Sievers (FWD|300), and Michael van den Berg (40+|300). The Awesomatix throw-out result came from Daniel Hiesch (21.5 Stock|295).
3. MUGEN SEIKI (1192 pts) collecting points in four classes again
Apeldoorn was very good for Mugen Seiki as they are only 11 points behind the leading Xray team now. The points came from Ronald Völker (Modified|299), Rick van den Akker (Pro Stock|294), Christian Grabher (40+|297), and Levi Berkenbosch (21.5 Stock|302).
4. SCHUMACHER (598 pts) only Orlowski and van Gog scored well
The Schumacher team scored points with Michal Orlowski (Modified|300), and Robin van Gog (FWD|298) but missed a few other good results for a strong start into the new constructors championship.
5. INF1NITY (598 pts) Coelho and Catelani delivering points
Bruno Coelho (Modified|302) and Nico Catelani (Pro Stock|291) had been responsible for the Inf1nity points in Apeldoorn. They had no racer in the 21.5 or 40+ A-Main which denied them a better points haul. This is something they need to improve for the future.
6. RC MAKER (591 pts) fully in the fight of the constructors mid-field competition
Daniel Anthes (21.5 Stock|294), and David Reip (FWD|297) collected the points for the Australian team of Ryan Maker. In Pro Stock and 40+ Masters, there was no RC Maker car in the A-Main.
7. ARC (587 pts) at the end of the midfield!
With only collecting points in FWD and 40+ Masters, Luca Romondia (294) and Patrick Sommer (293) delivered at least some solid results. After Enrico Jung not runnign Pro Stock anymore, the team is missing his points for sure.
8. SERPENT (297 pts) still the Greiner one-man show
No chance for Team Serpent. They constantly collect strong points from world class driver Dominic Greiner (297 pts), but there is just no other racer with the car leaving the team at the loe end of the field.
Dominant Sunday performance earns Coelho the win in the Netherlands
The overall win was on the line in A3 and it was Intinity`s Bruno Coelho who took the win from pole position. Coelho showed a very dominant performance on Sunday and won A3 with a gap of 1.1 seconds from Schumacher driver Michal Orlowski. Bruno also posted the fastest lap of the heat with a 13.573 and clearly showed that he deserved the overall win in Apeldoorn this weekend.
Michal Orlowski took second in A3, and second overall behind Coelho and was the only driver who was able to really give Bruno a challenge. Even if it was not enough for P1 (after winning in Apeldoorn three times in a row), Michal clearly was second fastest throughout the weekend even when he suffered from feeling sick since Friday.
Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker jumped onto the last spot of the podium with a second place from A1 and a fourth position in the second leg. A great recovery for Völker who had higher hopes coming into the event with his LRP powered Mugen MTC-3.
Simon Lauter was (maybe) the most unlucky guy this weekend. He missed the podium by a very small margin after he qualified third on the grid and performing very well in the finals. However, P4 is still a good result which he can (and should) be proud of.
Dominic Greiner finished 5th overall for Serpent, Marc Rheinard took P6 at his Xray debut ahead of his old Awesomatix teammates Lucas Urbain and Eric Dankel, while Alexander Hagberg (9), Yannic Prümper (10), and Tim Wahl completed the A-Main results in Apeldoorn!
Bultynck with the perfect start into the season as he collects maximum points from Apeldoorn
Olivier Bultynck had a perfect start into A3 and was leading ahead of Jan Ratheisky, Timon Coenen, Louis Kretschmer, and Rob Jansen. Kretschmer passed Coenen after 2 minutes and was running in thrid palce showing a great pace behind Ratheisky. But as all the drivers made no mistakes out front it was Olivier Bultynck who celebrated another perfect start into a season with adding another ETS race win in Apeldoorn after a great and thrilling set of A-Main finals.
Xray`s Jan Ratheisky was able to split the Awesomatix podium when he secured P2 ahead of Timon Coenen who had an amazing weekend in Apeldoorn achieving his first ever podium.
Schulz takes the overall win in Apeldoorn after P2 in the last final!
After Elibert Sievers and Stefan Schulz both had been able to win one A-Main, the decision for the win was on the line in the last final of the weekend. Schulz brought the field around the first lap while van Gog was (once again) chasing Elibert Sieves around the track in teh battle for second. After one minute, tha gap between the top three had been at only 0.5 seconds and Sievers was looking for a way to attack Schulz. Behind the top three,Ronald Arts and Max Weffers had a great race for P4 and P5. At the 2-minute mark, a contact between Sievers and Schulz handed the lead over to van Gog.
The constellation had been very exciting as Schulz needed to defend his second spot against Sievers for the overall win then. Schulz had the faster A-Main winning (from A1) time to his favour before the race and he was able to win the FWD class in Apeldoorn while being tied on points with Elibert Sievers.
van den Berg and Thalheimer joining Ehrbar on the winners podium
The tird A-Main of the 1up Racing Masters class was all about the remainign podium positions behind race winner David Ehrbar. Michael van den Berg jumped into the lead and had to defend like a lion against a very fast looking Torsten Baggendorf. Mirco Thalheimer and Manuel Stankowitz also joined the party and we saw a nice four-horse race in A3. After Baggendorf dropped back in th running order, it was Thalheimer who was running in second place – but he was already a straightway behind Michael van den Berg who brought home the win in A3 to seal a strong second place behind race winner Ehrbar.
Oversloot and Weffers securing podium positions in the last A-Main
Race winner Levi Berkenbosch was enjoying A3 watching from the tribune and saw his fellow countrymen Richard Oversloot winning the last final to seal second place overall on the podium. Max Weffers and Daniel Hiesch had an excellent fight behind him for second in A3 and the last remaining spot on the podium.
Both drivers showed a lot of respect for each other and it was great to watch this fight on track – thank you Max and Daniel. Unfortunately, Daniel rolled his car onto the roof in the last seconds of the race. Oversloot was driving a perfect race and took A3 ahead of Weffers, Zühlke, Stenger, Kappes, Anthes, and Hiesch.
Stiebler, Libar, and Kampehl on the Formula podium
Xray driver Jacques Libar was taking the win in the third and last A-Main to secure his second overall position behind race winner Andreas Stiebler, and ahead of overall third place finisher Robert Kampehl who was very happy to make it onto the podium in Apeldoorn!
The second leg of finals took place on Sunday morning in Apeldoorn. With some rain on the radar around lunch-time, racers frequently watched the sky and the main goal was to bring in the second round of finals in dry conditions for everybody – which finally (and luckily) happened.
Coelho and Orlowski dominating A2, driving “in a world of their own”
Bruno Coelho suffered from “low traction” in the opening laps of yesterday`s first Modified A-Main. When A2 was on the line on Sunday, Coelho had a much better pace right from the start and he was breaking away from the rest of the field together with Michal Orlowski.
It was an impressive performance from the top two who could open a huge gap to the rest of the field to build up a distance of almost 7 seconds over third placed Simon Lauter at the end of the run – what a massive gap!
Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard took fourth and fifth place in A2 ahead of Lucas Urbain, Eric Dankel, Dominic Greiner, Alexander Hagberg, Tim Wahl, and Yannic Prümper.
The battle for the overall win will be on the line between Orlowski and Coelho in the last final of the weekend. Coelho has a first and third place so far while Orlowski scored a first and second place. Coelhos A2 overall runtime was quicker than the A1 result from Orlowski so we can all expect a great showdown for the Modified win in Apeldoorn.
Bultynck strikes back and wins A2 on Sunday morning – all to play for in A3
When A2 got underway, Ollie Bultynck had a way better start compared to his unfortunate moment in yesterday`s A1. The Awesomatix driver had the Xray of Jan Ratheisky in his rear-view mirror and could not take it easy on track as Ratheisky looked agressive and quick on track.
But as the race progressed, Bultynck found his rythm and opened up a gap of almost 2 seconds when they entered the last minute of the race. Bultynck stayed calm and cool and brought home a great recovery win ahead of Jan Ratheisky, Timon Coenen, Louis Kretschmer, and Rob Jansen. With this result from A2, the decision for the overall win in Apeldoorn was shifted to the third and last Pro Stock A-Main.
Schulz wins Sunday morning A2 from Sievers and Weffers
In the second FWD A-Main, Stefan Schulz had a way better start than on Saturday. But it was once again Robin van Gog who quickly moved up to second place to start hunting down Schulz in full force. Dutch Schumacher racer van Gog was very fast and looked racy when he was putting on a great pass on Schulz in lap 5 of the race after the chicane, right in front of the timing loop. Elibert Sievers was running in third place ahead of Ronald Arts and David Reip.
After Robin van Gog made a huge mistake in lap 9 of the race, he dropped nack to second place again it was Stefan Schulz who jumped back into the lead. When they entered the last minute of A2, van Gog was pushing super hard behind Schulz and made another mistake at the same spot to loose his second place to Elibert Sievers. The top five in A2: Schukz, Sievers, Weffers, Reip, and Romondia (from 11 to P5).
Ehrbar didn`t crack under pressure to secure another ETS win!
Top qualifier David Ehrbar and second place starter Michael van den Berg both had an amazing start into the second final – so had Torsten Baggendorf who jumped from fifth on the grid to third in lap one. Baggendorf and van den Berg could match the pace of leader Ehrbar in the first two minutes of the race and created a lot of pressure behind the Xray car of David Ehrbar.
It was a three-horse race, great to watch, and thrilling to the very end. Van den Berg was all on the money in the last 90 seconds of the race and tried to find a way around Ehrbar. Baggendorf suddenly moved up to second spot but lost it in the next lap later after making a small mistake. David Ehrbar was able to win A2 and the overall race in Apeldoorn when he crossed the line ahead of van den Berg, Stocker, Stankowitz, and Thalheimer.
Berkenbosch joins the club of ETS race winners after strong A2 performance
After winning A1 on Saturday, TQ Levi Berkenbosch was just one final away to seal his first ETS victory on home soil. Levi had a great start and already had half a straightway lead after three laps in A2. Richard Oversloot, Max Weffers, and Nadine Zühlke had a great race for the positions behind Berkenbosch for the entire race.
Meanwhile, Levi Berkenbosch had everything under control running ahead of the field with his Mugen Seiki MTC-3 and finally brought home a well-deserved win ahead of Oversloot, Weffers, Jarosch, and Zühlke. Berkenbosch crossed the line under the applause of all his friends and club members to win his first ETS race after a great performance all weekend long. Congratulations Levi, great job!
The second Matrix Formula A-Main saw Andreas Stiebler and Jacques Libar running on top again. Andreas Stiebler made no mistake and brought home A2 from the pole position to take his first win since Aigen 2025 -well done!
The first leg of finals is already in the books and we saw some great races throughout all classes. The highly anticipated A-Mains were also delivering what they had promised: High class racing, drama, celebrations, and disappointment….. Find out what happened on Saturday afternoon in Apeldoorn!
Orlowski wins dramatic first final ahead of Völker and Coelho
The A1 legend of Apeldoorn has struck again. In recent years, the first final on Saturday night has always been a spectacle—and 2026 was no exception. Top qualifier Bruno Coelho took over the lead on the sound of the tone and was followed by Michal Orlowski, and Simon Lauter. In the first lap of the race, fourth place starter Dominic Greiner spun around and Ronald Völker could move up to furth place.
The second lap of A1 had the first big surprise in it: Coelho lost the rear of his car when coming onto the main straight. He need to lift the throttle and counter-steered to prevent his car from ending in the grass. Michal Orlowski took the risk and accelerated his Schumacher Mi10 around Coelho into the lead. A risky, but very successful move from the Schumacher star driver.
In the following laps, the crowd could watch world class RC racing when Coelho was pushing Orlowski around the track – with the Awesomatix of Simon Lauter right in toe. Ronald Völker was running in fourth place, two corners behind the leading trio. Coelho had a lot of pace and was “all over” Orlowski many times. But both drivers kept it clean and it was a pure joy to watch them racing on the highest level.
When the drivers entered their last lap, DRAMA HAPPENED. Orlowski was overshooting the apex of the teardrop after the timing loop and went a bit wide. Coelho, by instinct, looked for an inside pass and once Orlowski`s car “gripped” again it turned to the inside and both cars touched – a racing incident which you don`want to have in the last lap but which always can happen at these crazy speeds. Everybody expected Simon Lauter to take the win now as he was right behind the leaders – but in this case, it was his END. Lauter could not avoid to crash into Brunos Infinity IF14 Speciale and after the contact, his front left was completeley destroyed. WHat a tough moment for SImon Lauter after a brilliant race.
When there are people suffering from bad luck in a race, others normally benefit. This time, Mugen Seiki lead driver Ronald Völker could take over second place after all the carnage in front of him happened. He crossed the line three tenths behind A1 winner Michal Orlowski who could luckily come out of the incident with Bruno as the race leader. Coelho finished third in A1 and was followed by Simon Lauter, Lucas Urbain, Dominic Greiner, Alexander Hagberg, Yannic Prümper (bumped up from the b-main), Eric Dankel, and the two DNF cars of Marc Rheinard and Tim Wahl!
Ratheisky wins A1 after a Bultynck blackout in the first chicane
On the sound of the tone, all cars drove through the first chicane and leader Ollie Bultynck just missed the apex and tapped out a bit. Ratheisky and Coenen went by and Ratheisky was leading A1 out of nowhere. Coenen was able to follow him with a small gap and Bultynck could recover from his scary first chicane running in third place. Kretschmer, Jansen, and van den Akker followed them as they had started off the grid.
After two minutes, Bultynck was right behind Coenen and Ratheisy was able to bereathe a bit. Bultynck made a hard pass on Coenen and had to give his position back after a call of the referee. Louis Kretschmer took full advantage of that and jumped into second spot. Out front, Ratheisky used all his racecraft and experience to bring home A1 for Xray under the applause of his whole familly below the driver stand. Bultynck was still able to fight back to second place ahead of Kretschmer, Jansen, and Coenen.
Sievers takes A1 after Schulz and van Gog collided on the main-straight!
All cars had a good launch off the line on the sound of the tone and TQ Stefan Schulz brought the field around the first corner with his Xray X4F`26 FWD ride. Behind him, Elibert Sievers and Robin van Gog tryed to stay as close as possible to Schulz and van Gog quickly managed to find a way around Sievers.
When they were coming onto the straightway in lap 3 of the race, a contact between Schulz and van Gog led both cars into the grass handing the lead over to Sievers on a silver plate. van Gog had a great run down the straight and was on the inside of Schulz who seemed (when watching in slow motion) to pull a slightly littel bit to the left. A very unlucky racing incident which (for sure) could have been avoided by both drivers in such an early stage of the race!
The running order after 2 minutes was Sievers, Arts, Weffers, Reip and Libar in the top 5 and nothing changed anymore until they crossed the finish line. A perfect start into the finals for Sievers and a maximum disappointment for TQ Schulz and van Gog.
Ehrbar domination continues as he takes Saturday evening A1 in style
TQ David Ehrbar had a great start and saw only Michael van den Berg in his rear view mirror after the first lap. Anna Ehrbar (Davids wife) had a lot of work to do to defend her third place against Baggendorf, Stankowitz, and Hoggart.
After one minute, Ehrbar and van den Berg had been separated by .07 seconds and van den Berg was driving the hell out of his Awesomatix car trying to catch up to the Xray in front of him. But Ehrbar switched on his afterburners and opened a way bigger gap in the last two minutes of the race leaving no doubt that he is still the man to beat in the 1up Racing 40+ Masters class.
After a clean and fair race from everybody, the finishing order in the first A-Main was David Ehrbar ahead of Michael van den Berg, Mirco Thalheimer, Torsten Baggendorf, and Phil Hoggart. By the way: Congrats to Phil Hoggart and Ben Looijen for their first ever ETS A-Main appearance!
Berkenbosch converts pole position into A1 victory
Top qualifier Levi Berkenbosch started his white Mugen MTC-3 off the line and was running ahead of Richard Oversloot and Max Weffers. Weffers and Hiesch had a small contact in lap one and Weffers lost many positions. Out front, Levi Berkenbosch started to show nerves with the competition running close behind him in person of Daniel Hiesch and Richard Oversloot.
But after a little power slide, Berkenbosch was able to control his nerves again and stretched his legs to a lead of 0.7 seconds over Hiesch when the race reached the 2.30 minute mark. Berkenbosch found back into his rythm and posted the fastest lap of A1 (17.399). He did not make the smallest mistake anymore and took the win in A1 ahead of Daniel Hiesch, Christoph Kappes (from P9 on the grid), Thomas Stenger, and Daniel Anthes.
Stiebler defends P1 from Libar after Ehrbar spins out early in A1
After the first chicane, second placed starter David Ehrbar was “gone” and TQ Andreas Stiebler had a small gap with his Schumacher car, ahead of Jacques Libar (Xray). Ehrbar simply spun out in the first chicane and dropped all the way back to the end of the field. Martin Hudy made it the opposite way and moved up from seventh on the grid to third spot.
Out front, Libar was pushing hard to keep the pace with Stiebler, but the Schumacher driver was very precise and consistant. Libar could always see Stiebler on track and came a bit closer in the last minute. In the last lap he was almost there but Andreas Stiebler was able to hang on and took a well-deserved win in Formula A1 ahead of Libar, Hudy, Jovicic, and Ehrbar.
Lauter wins eventful Q3 ahead of Urbain and Greiner
Q3 – The third heat of Cayote Modified qualifying was a bit chaotic, and very thrilling in the end. The lead changed a multiple times in the first minutes of the race and many drivers had little mistakes, slides, flips, and contact with the grass. Long story short: Simon Lauter (Awesomatix) took his very first Modified TQ run with the small gap of 0.212 from his teammate Lucas Urbain.
Serpent`s Dominic Greiner had another fantastic run to third place and was followed by Xray`s new signing Marc Rheinard and a very fast Tim Wahl. For the three top stars Bruno Coelho (Infinity), Michal Orlowski (Schumacher), and Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki), the race turned into a desaster.
Ronald Völker had to retire his car 40 seconds before the end of the run due to a diff outdrive coming loose. A hard moment for Ronald who was in the top 3 for most of the run.
Coelho suffered a DNF after his car turned straight into the grass coming onto the straightway with 25 seconds to go – a tough moment for Bruno.
The last one to stop his car (too early) was Michal Orlowski. He was in the lead, flipped his car over in lap 10 of the race (loosing 5 seconds), and then stopped a lap too early when he thought that he would have already finished – a nightmare for the champion.
Orlowski to line-up second on the grid after Q4 victory in Apeldoorn
Q4 – Schuamcher`s Michal Orlowski managed to TQ the last round of qualifying 0.5 seconds ahead of Ronald Völker`s Mugen Seiki MTC-3 car. The win in Q4 moved Schumacher driver Orlowski up through the rankings to second on the grid – a very important result for our current Modified champion.
Lucas Urbain, Marc Rheinard, and Tim Wahl finished right behind them in the top five. After Q4, the drivers on starting positions three to six (!) all had 305 points on their account showing the high competition and crazyness which is going on this weekend here in Apeldoorn.
Other drivers like Bruno Coelho (fastest lap of the heat 13.275), Eric Dankel, and Dominic Greiner had some issues leading them into unlucks DNF`s. After a very intense set of qualifying heats the starting grid for the finals is as it follows:
TQ Bruno Coelho (Infinity), 2. Michal Orlowski (Schumacher), 3. Simon Lauter (Awesomatix), 4. Dominic Greiner (Serpent), 5. Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki), 6. Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix), 7. Marc Rheinard (Xray), 8. Tim Wahl (Awesomatix), 9. Alexander Hagberg (Xray), 10. Eric Dankel (Awesomatix)
Bultynck starts mission “title defence” from the pole position
Q3 – Awesomatix racer Olivier Bultynck had a good start into Saturday when he was able to win Q3 ahead of Dutch Awesomatix racer Rob Jansen and the Xray of Jan Ratheisky. Bultynck was on a fresh set of tires and had a comfortable gap of 1.7 seconds over Jansen.
However, it was Benjamin Elbisser (Xray) who posted the second fastest overall runtime in Q3 with his time coming from the C-Heat (!).
Louis Kretschmer hammered down the fastest lap of the heat (16.036) and finished in fifth spot, followed by Maty Knopp and Nico Catelani (both running in the B-heat). Before the last qualifier, Olivier Bultynck and Louis Kretschmer both had the chance to TQ the event in Apeldoorn.
Ratheisky takes P2 on the grid after strong win in Q4 – Coenen third after qualifying
Q4 – The battle for the overall TQ went down to Q4 between the two Awesomatix racers Ollie Bultynck and Louis Kretschmer. But as the track was hot, it was almost impossible for Kretschmer to beat the fastest runtime of Bultynck which he had posted in Q1. Once the race got underway it was a battle for the lead between Timon Coenen, Jan Ratheisky, Sören Sparbier, and Phil Langner. Bultynck and Kretschmer were both running in the middle of the pack which already meant that the pole position would go to last years Apeldoorn winner Ollie Bultynck.
It was a very intense heat as many racers still needed a good result to lock themselfes in for the A-Main. After the five minute run we saw Jan Ratheisky taking the win in Q4 ahead of Timon Coenen, Sören Sparbier, and Phil Langner.
The A-Main starting grid for the triple Pro Stock finals: TQ Olivier Bultynck (Awesomatix), 2. Jan Ratheisky (Xray), 3. Timon Coenen (Awesomatix), 4. Louis Kretschmer (Awesomatix), 5. Rob Jansen (Awesomatix), Sören Sparbier (Mugen Seiki), 7. Stefan Schulz (Xray), 8. Rick van den Akker (Mugen Seiki), 9. Nico Catelani (Infinity), 10. Benjamin Elbisser (Xray)
Q3 – Last year, Schumacher driver Robin van Gog won his first ETS race in Apeldoorn and he is still hungry for more. The Dutch racer won Q3 on Friday afternoon before the storm and the rain arrived. RC Maker racer David Reip finished in second spot, right behind van Gog and ahead of the Xray trio of Max Weffers, Jacques Libar, and Stefan Schulz.
Q4 – Stefan Schulz was able to seal the overall TQ in the last round of qualifying. He will start from the pole with his Xray car ahead of the three Dutch racers Robin van Gog (Schumacher), Ronald Arts (Awesomatix), and Elibert Sievers (Awesomatix). Max Weffers (Xray), David reip (RC Maker), Jacques Libar (Xray), Julian Romeyn (Schumacher), Roman Borschel (Awesomatix), and Alexander Stocker (Xray) are completing the 10 car A-Main grid!
Reigning champion David Ehrbar sealed the TQ with another win in Q3. It was a special TQ run for the Ehrbar family as David`s wife Anna was able to score P2 for the round. Torsten Baggendorf was third fastest ahead of Phil Hoggart and Mirco Thalheimer.
Q4 – Michael van den Berg took the last heat of 40+ Masters qualifying ahead of Anna Ehrbar, Mirco Thalheimer, and Manuel Stankowitz. Due to his TQ run, Michael van den Berg will start in second place behind top qualifier David Ehrbar. The starting order for the triple finals looks like that: TQ David Ehrbar, 2. Michael van den Berg, 3. Anna Ehrbar, 4. Mirco Thalheimer, 5. Torsten Baggendorf, 6. Phil Hoggart, 7. Manuel Stankowitz, 8. Christian Grabher, 9. Ben Looijen, 10. Patrick Sommer
Q3 – After sitting on overnight TQ in Apeldoorn, Levi Berkenbosch had another close fight with Daniel Hiesch on track during Q3. Both drivers showed a great performance on track and Berkenbosch won by a gap of 0.9 seconds from Hiesch and top seed Richard Oversloot. Max Weffers and Nadine Zühlke completed the top 5.
Q4 – The last round of qualifying saw Richard Oversloot taking the win ahead of Tim Jarosch, Nadine Zühlke, Toimo Siebert, and Daniel Anthes. The overall pole position went to last year`s TQ Levi Berkenbosch. Let`s see if he can manage to bring home the win this time? The A-Main grid for the finals: TQ Levi Berkenbosch, 2. Richard Oversloot, 3. Max Weffers, 4. Daniel Hiesch, 5. Nadine Zühlke, 6. Tim Jarosch, 7. Thomas Stenger, 8. Daniel Anthes, 9. Christoph Kappes, 10. Mario Buchwald
After a long time: Stiebler back on F1 pole position
Jacques Libar was the second driver to TQ a round when he took the win in Q3 ahead of David Ehrbar, Luka Jovicic, Robert Kampehl, and Andreas Stiebler. The decision for pole position came down to the line in Q4 between Q1 and Q2 winner Andreas Stiebler and Jacques Libar. Schumacher driver Andreas Stiebler went on for the pole then in Q4 which he managed to win by 2.6 seconds over David Ehrbar and Michal Wojcik. The finals will be intense and here is the starting order:
Defending ETS Modified champion Michal Orlowski is running the new Schumacher Mi10 here in Apeldoorn. The car was officially released to the public some weeks ago and Michal was happy to “finally” being able to show the car to everybody after hiding it during the prototype stages and the development process. The car features a 1.2mm steel chassis which is available in the car kit (K225) beside another carbon chassis version (K224). The car is almost as it comes out of the box with the only option parts being the one-piece TITC topdeck, the aluminum steering radius arms, and the rear horizontal body mounting set.
Michal is using his very successful Elceram Nitride G2 ESC together with a Hobbywing 4.5T Motor, and the very powerful Team Cayote 6800mAh LiPo battery. The Power HD GTS-2S Servo is transfering Michals Sanwa M17S steering inputs onto the track!

Two complete rounds of qualifying are done in Apeldoorn and we like to give you a quick update about the power rankings at the ETS season opener. A couple of runs from Q3 will take place this evening as well but for now we focus on the qualifying half-time results.
The competition is crazy as the AMCA track demands everyting from the racers!
Infinity`s Coelho leads from Serpent`s Greiner and the Schumacher`s Orlowski as qualifying reaches half-time in the Netherlands
Q1 – The first Cayote Modified qualifier just gave us a taste of what racing in the finals could may look like this weekend. It was VERY CLOSE. Bruno Coelho took the win by just 0.026 of a second from Michal Orlowski (Schumacher) with Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki) another 1.5 seconds behind (after loosing one second of time in lap 14 of the heat).
Bruno had everyting under control (as far as that is possible in such a heat) but told us that he had a sudden “out of nowhere traction roll” in lap 20 of the heat. Coelho lost one second due to that which allowed Orlowski to be that close to him in the end.
Orlowski described his run as “not bad” after seeding in fourth position. Behind the top three we saw Lucas Urbain (4), Marc Rheinard (5), Dominic Greiner (6), Alexander Hagberg (7), Simon Lauter (8), Tim Wahl (9), and Jilles Groskamp rounding out the top ten!
Q2 – After we saw a close first round of qualifying, the drivers performed on a top level again in Q2. It was once again Infinity lead driver Bruno Coelho who was able to win the heat.
The reigning IFMAR world champion of the touring car class took the win by a gap of one second from a very amazing driving Dominic Greiner (Serpent) who posted the fastest lap of Q2 (13.287). Greiner was mega-happy after the run and described his car as “very good out there”.
Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix), Michal Orlowski (Schumacher), Simon Lauter (Awesomatix), and Ronald Völker (Mugen Seiki) completed the top 6 which all crossed the finish line within 1.7 seconds behind Q2 winner Coelho showing the competition and intensity of the Cayote Modified class.
Bultynck holds overnight TQ ahead of his teammates Kretschmer and Coenen
Defending Awesomatix Pro Stock champion Olivier Bultynck had a very clean run in Q1. He took the win by 2.3 seconds over dutch youngster Timon Coenen who posted the fastest lap of the whole round (15.821). Jan Ratheisky was third fastest in Q1 ahead of Rick van den Akker (running in the C-Heat), Dayne Warren and Nico Catelani (both in the B-Heat), Sören Sparbier, Helge Johannessen, and Richard van Leeuwen. Many top drivers stopped their cars after small mistakes early in the race to save their tires. The second round of qualifying was expected to mix things up again!
In Q2 it was all about Louis Kretschmer who had saved his Q1 tires to have the advantage with fresh ones in Q2. It fully paid off for him (and Awesomatix) as he took the win from Stefan Schulz, Ollie Bultynck, Tim Benson, and Rob Jansen in Q2. Stefan Schulz posted his time in the fourth fastest group after missing practice on Thursday – very impressive!
With the combined results from Q1 and Q2, the overnight top five in Pro Stock are: Olivier Bultynck (Awesomatix), Louis Kretschmer (Awesomatix), Timon Coenen (Awesomatix), Stefan Schulz (XRAY), and Jan Ratheisky (XRAY). The battle for the TQ spot and the remaining A-Main grid positions will continue in Q3 and Q4 on Saturday at the AMCA Apeldoorn track!
Schulz leads at qualifying half-time after arriving in Apeldoorn without any practice
After two rounds of FWD qualifying, we saw Stefan Schulz, Elibert Sievers, and Robin van Gog making it into the top three. Elibert Sievers won the first heat in the morning ahead of Ronald Arts and Max Weffers. Stefan Schulz then took the win in the second round posting the faster runtime compared to Sievers result from Q1. The combined Q1 and Q2 results putting Stefan Schulz in the lead ahead ofSievers, van Gog, Arts, Weffers, Libar, Stocker, Reip, Borschel, and Stankowitz. A great result for Stefan Schulz so far who was not able to be here for Thursday practice!
Xray`s Ehrbar running strong ahead of a very close competition
Top seed Manuel Stankowitz started first out of the gate, but it was David Ehrbar who posted the fastest opening lap of the race with a 17.224 jumping into the lead. Mirco Thalheimer and Michael Uhlir had a fantastic pace as well and the positions between them and Stankowitz changed many times. After five minutes it was David Ehrbar scoring his first TQ run of the weekend when he won Q1 by a big gap of 2 seconds ahead of Mirco Thalheimer, Michael van den Berg, and Manuel Stankowitz.
The second 40+ Masters qualifier was SPER CLOSE between David Ehrbar and Toni Mateo. After the five minute run, only 0.009 seconds were seperating them and it was (once again) David Ehrbar who had the better end on his side. However, it was also a great run for the Spaniard Toni Mateo who is always traveling to ETS races all the way from beautiful Gran Canaria. Behind them we saw Michael van den Berg, Anna Ehrbar, and Mirco Thalheimer rounding out the top five in Q2. Unfortunatley, Alexander Stocker was not running with the correct RPM limiter and his best runtime will be deleted after qualifying.
Berkenbosch on top after two rounds of qualifying!
After “only” coming out of seeding practice as the sixth quickest driver yesterday evening, local hero and 2025 Apeldoorn TQ Levi Berkenbosch turned things to his favour when he took the win in the first round of Hobbywing 21.5 Stock qualifying by 0.6 seconds ahead of Richard Oversloot. Thomas Stenger finished third for the round and was followed by Daniel Hiesch and Max Weffers.
The second qualifier was another close fight, and this time it was between Levi Berkenbosch and Daniel Hiesch. The lead changed multiple times and after five minutes it was German youngster Daniel Hiesch taking the win by 0.008 of a second from Berkenbosch. But however, it was Max Weffers who posted the overall TQ run in Q2 with his time coming from the B-Heat. The Xray driver from Germany was almost two seconds faster than the guys in the top group and scored maximum points in Q2.
Schumacher racer Stiebler on top as he takes two out of two!
Andreas Stiebler took the first two rounds of MAtrix Formuls qualifying . He could outpace David Ehrbar and Michal Wojcik two times by around seven tenths of a second handing him over the overnight TQ spot in Apeldoorn.
The top 10 ranking list at qualifying half-time: Stiebler (Schumacher), Ehrbar (XRAY), Wojcik (XRAY), Hudy (XRAY), Jovicic (XRAY), Grenz (XRAY), Kampehl(Schumacher), Ruf (Tamiya), Lipperheide (XRAY).
Marc Rheinard is giving his debut for Xray this weekend in Apeldoorn. He is rocking the X4`26 with an Xray 1.2mm steel chassis and HUDY titanium screws. The rest of the car is, as it comes out of the box and Marc is still learning about the car together with his new teammates and car designer Martin Hudy. The Xray of Marc is equipped with full Team Cayote power incuding the Modi Motor, the Crest X Evo ESC, and 6800mAh battery. As always, Marc is using his FlySky Noble NB4 Pro + radio together with a Power HD GTS-2 servo. The picture is showing a nice painted Xtreme Twister Speciale (by A-paint) but Marc is also rocking the Avalon Vortex body here in Apeldoorn to be fast enough on track as it seems to work much better on the flowing track layout.

Enrico Jung (GER) is rocking the current ARC A11 here at the ETS season opener in Apeldoorn. His car is equipped with a 1.2mm steel chassis and a set of titanium screws from R1 Wurks. Enrico is using a Twister Speciale (0,4mm) on our pictures but is also following the trend of the weekend running the Avalon Vortex on track. On the electronic side, Enrico is using a Hobbywing combo together with a Sanwa M17S radio and a prototype servo from Savöx. It is the first full season for Enrico in the Modified class and he will try to improve race by race to see what he can do against the best drivers in the world!
No practice – no disadvantage!!! Coelho ahead of Völker, Lauter, and Orlowski
The last heat of the day saw the Modified drivers posting crazy fast laptimes in Apeldoorn. With the sun not shining on the track anymore, the conditions had been absolute “HAPPY HOUR” and it was Bruno Coelho who nailed the laps 2-4, earning him the only 39-second time of the day (39.684) over three consecutive laps.
With Coelho not being able to practice in Apeldoorn before the event because of his own wedding (which is a very good excuse), his pace was even more impressive to rate compared to all others who had spent many days in Apeldoorn prior to the event!
Behind Coelho, Mugen Seiki`s Ronald Völker finished second for the day after a “very intense and stressful day”. His Mugen car worked pretty fine on track and he was happy to “finally get a clean five minute run done”. Völker described the track as super fast and challenging as everybody was pushing so hard.
Third place for the day went to Awesomatix driver Simon Lauter who managed to stay ahead of Schumacher`s Michal Orlowski and his Awesomatix teammate Lucas Urbain who completed the top five.
Dominic Greiner (Serpent), Marc Rheinard (Xray), Eric Dankel (Awesomatix), Tim Wahl (Awesomatix), and Yannic Prümper (Schumacher) rounded out the top 10 at the end of day one in Apeldoorn.
Four rounds of action packed qualifying will follow for all racers, with the first two and a half rounds scheduled for Friday.

Impressive Awesomatix 1-2-3-4-5 led by champion Bultynck
The four practie sessions in Pro Stock had been very close as always. At the end of the day it was reignign Pro Stock champion Olivier Bultynck (Awesomatix) from Belgium posting the fastest laps on the AMCA track. He was very fast in Apeldoorn last year, and managed to (once again) stamp some kind of authority on the first day of the new season. His advantage over his teammates had been half a second (!) which will leave some of the guys not having the best night of sleep.
However, Bultynck was followed by Lukas Ellerbrock, Louis Kretschmer, Phil Langner, and Timon Coenen. The best “non Awesomatix” racer was Jan Ratheisky taking P6 for the day.
The Top 5 after Thursday practice (over 3 consecutive laps)
Elibert Sievers was the quickest FWD racer on Thursday. He posted the three hottest laps ahead of last year`s race winner and fellow countryman Robin van Gog. David Reip had a very good start into the event with his RC Maker car while Ronald Arts and Alexander Stocker completed the top five in Apeldoorn. The FWD looks competitive as always and no mistake will be allowed in qualifying.

Awesomatix racer Stankowitz is top seed in Apeldoorn
At the end of day one in Apeldoorn, Manuel Stankowitz found himself on top of the board. Stankowitz just switched back to an Awesomatix car some weeks ago and his pace on track looked very solid. Reigning champion David Ehrbar was second fastest for the day ahead of Michael van den Berg, Torsten Baggendorf, and Anna Ehrbar. Mirco Thalheimer, Michael Uhlir, Phil Hoggart, Caspar Morgen, and Toni Mateo rounded out the top ten.

Richard Oversloot had a great first day at his home ETS when he outpaced Mario Buchwald by 0.248 of a second over the three consecutive laps. Behind the leading duo we saw Daniel Hiesch, Christian Lütjen, and Christoph Kappes completing the top five. With the top ten drivers within less than one second we can expect a hard and close fight for the so much wanted A-Main spots during the upcoming four rounds of qualifying!
