One month to go until Season #18 kicks off with a huge bang!

As we will enter the eighteenth (!) season of the ETS on the ground of the AMCA Apeldoorn in the Netherlands in about 4 weeks, it is time to point out some highlights around this highly anticipated season opener during the next days. Here is chapter one for you!

350 – Record entries for an ETS outdoor event

We (the ETS orga team) are simply blown away by the extreme demand for our racing series. Since many years we are used to this when indoor events are on the schedule (especially in Daun). Since last season we could see a clear upwards trend with the entries for the asphalt races when our three races in Apeldoorn, Aigen, and Luxembourg counted between 250 and 270 entries.

Once we had opened the registrations for this season`s RD1 in Apeldoorn we knew that we would quickly reach the same numbers again, but we never had in mind that we would land at roughly 350 entries with many more racers on the waiting list.

As we always try to make racing possible for everybody, we faced the situation to tell people “that they cannot attend” for the first time ever in the history of the ETS. Not easy for us as this record entry is a huge compliment for the work we are doing, but also a huge disappointment for some racers in the same moment.

We hope that everybody understands the difficulty in accepting as much racers as possible while also needing enough pit spaces ane proper time schedule according to the limited amount of daylight.

AMCA Apeldoorn making it happen

Together with the AMCA Apeldoorn we have done everything possible to create more pit spaces and a time schedule which will still allow everybody to enjoy 5 practice runs, 4 qualifiers, and triple finals (fingers already crossed for good weather).

We like to thank the AMCA Apeldoorn and all people involved for accepting these high number of entries and for figuring out everything for the race – THANK YOU. If you will race in Apeldoorn, please highly appreciate the club`s work and support them as much as you can.

Fantastic sponsors for a fantastic season

Our sponsors are more than just some brands hanging banners around the track. They are our partners, and we are very thankful for each and everyone of them. The sponsors of the ETS are backing the series allowing us to do the media work on our website all year long, producing the RC TV livestream, and also having our great photographer Chris with us at each event. Beside that, our sponsors are carrying out the ETS to the world whenever sharing or posting about it.

Team Cayote – our new title sponsor

As we have announced some weeks ago, Team Cayote is the new title sponsr of the Euro Touring Series. After many years without a title sponsor we are happy and proud to call Team Cayote our title sponsor for ETS Season #18. The brand is growing fast and some of the best drivers in the world of RC are already trusting their products. The whole ETS family is shouting out a warm welcome to Team Cayote!

Welcome to new (and old) sponsors

With Xray and Infinity, we like to welcome two former partners back at the ETS. We are extremely happy to have these two very strong forces in the world of RC partnering with us again. Elceram is also new in the circle of sponsors. They joined us at the end of last season and will continue to support us, the same as Sky RC which we like to welcome to the ETS family as well!

Hobbywing to power 5 ETS racing classes

Chinese RC giant Hobbywing is with us since many years. We are using Hobbywing combos with great success in Formula and FWD since a couple of seasons now and from the start of ETS Season #18, we will also see Hobbywing combos in all our stock touring car classes. With this decision we have followed the call of many drivers who have been asking for Hobbywing combos for years.

After having a great experience with Hobbywing products in the ETS Formula and FWD classes, it was a no -brainer for us to select the Hobbywing products for our stock touring car classes as well.

We had a good time with ORCA and like to thank them once again for their hard work during the last years. Now, we are looking forward to the races with Hobbywing combos powering all our stock touring car classes. The products are looking brilliant and the first feedbacks are already more than promising.

Hobbywing is the leading brand when it comes to motors and speed controllers and we hope that al ETS racers will be happy with our decision. The cooperation with Hobbywing during testing and developing the new firmware and everything else was great. It was a highly professional communication showing why they are as successful as they are!
