Slovakian manufacturer XRAY has released their new X4`26 tournig car during the last week. The company, who won the last three IFMAR modified touring car world championships in a row, has created a car with 70% of the parts being designed completeley new.
There will be three car kits available once they hit the stores with the only differences being the chassis plate. Customers can choose between carbon, 2.0mm aluminum and 1.5mm aluminum depending on the demands of their racing programe – a great service from XRAY.

Features of the Xray X4`26
- 3 kit versions improve factory performance for a wider range of track conditions
- 30g total weight saving without sacrificing durability, very beneficial for specification races that require larger batteries
- All-new CFF2 lower control arms with integrated composite details maximise suspension stiffness and improve handling in all conditions.
- The new suspension geometry moves the shock absorbers further out to improve traction and steering behaviour in all conditions.
- The improved, extremely low and consistent stabiliser mounting system improves stabiliser function and makes adjustment easier.
- Smaller and flatter suspension balls save weight and offer better roll centre adjustability.
- Completely new aluminium bulkheads complement the new suspension parts. A universal design at all four corners utilises an interchangeable bulkhead for left-right and front-rear, reducing the number of spares and simplifying repairs.
- The lower bolt holes on the front and rear bulkheads are countersunk to allow the use of standard fasteners for each chassis variant, improving durability while reducing costs.
- All-new CFF upper control arms with reduced flex due to their optimised shape contribute to the new suspension’s more consistent handling.
- The link-style upper arms offer improved steering response with added adjustability compared to the fixed moulded arms, ensuring maximum adjustability from the factory.
- The all-new carbon fibre upper clamps reduce overall weight, which is particularly important due to their position as they lower the centre of gravity while maintaining optimum chassis flex.
- Multiple mounting options for the upper clamps for different flex and handling characteristics.
- Ultra-long link upper arms are easier to realise thanks to the new upper clamp design and offer an additional alternative to the standard upper arm length.
- The all-new narrow chassis accommodates the new suspension and bulkhead designs, including short and standard arms, as well as the new shock mount locations.
- The all-new front bulkhead brace controls flex and handling characteristics and reduces the need for different types of front top decks, lowering costs and simplifying setup.
- All-new, ultra-light, narrower front spool is made of aluminium for light weight and clean design.
- All-new narrow, ultra-reliable and lightweight rear differential with pin system for outdrives.
- The all-new upper decks optimise flexibility together with the new bulkheads, front strut and upper clamps.
- The all-new integrated suspension bump stops limit the suspension travel independently of the shock absorbers, allowing easy fine tuning of the vehicle’s front and rear suspension travel.
- Smaller diff and spool bearings and eccentric bearing mounts reduce weight and lower the centre of gravity.
- Completely new steering and carbon fibre ARS plates optimise geometry and flexibility and reduce unsprung weight.
