Blitz CAL 1:10 Tourig Car bodyshell

0

Bodyshell manufacturer BLITZ (Team Titan) presented their latest 1:10 scale touring car bodyshell (190mm) this week. The design of the body is following the actual trend. A fundamental feature of the CLA design is the air channel that’s designed to direct airflow along the center of the body – from the roof to the rear trunk. This helps to increase stability especially when traveling through high-speed sections of the track. However, in lower-speed corners, it allows the body not to bog down and thereby increasing corner speed.
In addition, the CLA’s rear wing tower moves the location more outside to align with the body tower, it will reinforce the rear wing mount and minimize flex in this critical area, especially on the light version of this body.
The CAL body design complies with IFMAR GBS rules. It has also been homologated by EFRA with the approval number EFRA 4087.
The Blitz CLA body is available in both standard 0.7mm and light weight 0.5mm versions and comes with a light decal, window mask and wing mounting screw set.

Part Numbers:
60231-07 CLA Bodyshell 0.7mm-Standard
60231-05 CLA Bodyshell 0.5mm-light

RC Maker 3D Pro Carbon Tire Balancer

0

Australian RC company RC Maker introduced a very interesting product some days ago. The new 3D Pro Carbon Tire Balancer is a perfect tool for all 1:10 Onroad and Offroad racers who want to extract everything from their racing tires. The Tire Balancer is very compact and racers can transport it in their bags very easy. Read the RC Maker product description here:

Introducing our brand new 3D Pro Carbon Tire Balancer! With a multi-material construction of 7075 aluminum, 5mm carbon fiber with a 3D printed base, we have managed to achieve a lightweight, precise and smooth looking tire balancer! Tire balancing is essential for smooth car handling, even the slightest imbalance at high RPM can cause extreme vibrations throughout the car.
The super-free, ball bearing axle provides minimal rotational resistance, so the heaviest part of the tire dips downward, which should be compensated for by placing weight at the top. We recommend using plain blue tape, as the centrifugal force of the spinning wheel will easily hold it in place, and it can be removed or modified as needed. The base can be removed for easier packing and has a small tray for storing small parts at the track. This balancer can be used with 1:10 Onroad, 1:10 Offroad and No Prep Drag wheels with a 12mm hex.

Finished – successful first test phase of RC-Manager completed!

0

As some of you may have noticed in Hann.Münden, we are currently working on a new RC online game – the RC-Manager.

We used the race in Hann.Münden for the first test phase with an internal team to test programs, analyze and adjust data. This all worked out well so far, so that now the analyzed data has a public and final status.

But to cut a long story short: RD6 in Daun will be a public test. The game itself officially starts with round 1 of season #16. More information about this and also, what the RC-Manager is at all, what the rules are, how to play along, will be available in further posts from now on. Be curious.

Special Awards at ETS RD5 in Hann. Münden, GER

0

It is not new anymore, but since the start of ETS Season #15 2022/23, we are giving some “special” awards to persons and drivers who have attracted attention during our races. This is a way to highlight them, and to show everybody what the ETS is all about. It is not only a highly competitive racing series, but also a family which is enjoying their events together. A lot of talents have grown up in the Euro Touring Series and have made their way up to the top level of our sport. Here are our special award winners from ETS RD5 in Hann. Münden:

“ONE TO WATCH” and “YOUNGEST RACER”

The award for the “Youngest Racer” and the “One to Watch” award went to one and the same young boy as he impressed us in many ways. Gian Pinelli from Switzerland is only 10 years old and he drove brilliant in the Hobbywing Frontwheel class withhis Xray X4F car. He was in hann. Münden with his father and they had a great time on, and off the track.

When watching Gian driving, it was really amazing to see his skills as he showed a goodline on track, he drove with overview and patience, and he made some great moves on other cars in front of him. In the end, Gian Pinelli finished in P50 out of 70 drivers and was really surprised when he received his trophies from Uwe Rheinard during the price giving ceremony. We hope to see Gian more often at the ETS and we wich him and his family a great christmas time and a good start into 2023.

“SPIRIT OF THE EVENT”

The “SPITIR OF THE EVENT” award was given away to the whole crew of the Trans World Hotel Auefeld in Hann. Münden. All ETS racers really enjoyed their stay in the complex, and this was also a merit of the staff in the hotel. The whole ETS family felt very welcome and everyting was prepared perfectly. From the rooms to the breakfast, the hall in which we raced in, and the dinner in the evening. Uwe Rheinard gave the award to the hands of Mrs. Annica Schumacher. She was caring about the whole event with her colleague, and took also great care of our media team. We really hope that we can come back to this great place in the future!
