Cavalieri joins WRC 1:8 Offroad Team

0

At the very last day of 2022, another big announcement goes around the world: Ryan Cavalieri will run the WRC 1:8 Offroad cars in his 2023 racing programme. These news popped up on the WRC Facebook page early morning. With Cavalieri or TLR (his former team) not having announced his departure at any time, it was quiet a big surprise on the market of 1:8 scale Offroad. Ryan Cavalieri is one of the best drivers in history of RC, and WRC can be very excited to have such a big name flying their flag in the US.
As mentioned before, there was no official statement from Cavalieri or TLR until now, so it is kind of undecided which cars the american star will run at his 1:10 scale races in 2023 – stay tuned!

Hobbywing ETS XeRun XR10 Justock G3 Speed Controller

0

The engineers at Hobbywing have created a new speed controller to replace the current G2 version of their XeRun XR10 Justock series.
The G2 version is well-known since 3 years and was (and still is) the very reliable speed controller of the highly competitive FWD class at the Euro Touring Series.
With the G2 version not being available from Hobbywing anymore form now on, the new G3 will be the ESC of choice for the ETS races in the Hobbywing Frontwheel class. Both ESCs are featuring the same setting parameters, and the used RPM limiter is also exactly the same (17.500 rpm). The main changes between the two ESC`s is about the hardware with a new case, a built-in capacitator, and all black power wires.

To make it easy for all ETS FWD racers, both versions (G2 and G3) will be allowed at the season final in Daun, and in the whole upcoming Seaosn #16 2023/24.

What is new on the XeRun XR10 Justock G3 speed controller? Here are the features:

  • Programming also possible via LCD box and WiFi/OTA module!
  • BEC optional with 6.0V or 7.4V – adjustable at 4A
  • Black motor and battery cables

Technical Data

Tebo and TEKNO part ways

0

US top offroad racer Jared Tebo has announced an unexpected end of his partnership with his chassis sponsor TEKNO RC. Shortly before christmas, Tebo posted the following words on his social media. TEKNO RC confirmed these words in antother statement on their pages. Lets see what Tebos next stop will be. The former world champion, multiple NEO winner, and reedy race winner is still very fast and should easily find a new home to continue his racing programme – good luck Jared!

Well, it’s a bittersweet post. I can now say that my time with Tekno RC will be ending at the end of 2022. It’s been a fun, challenging, and rewarding 4 year journey together. To be honest, it’s ending sooner than I was planning, or expecting, I thought I would end my racing career with them. Plans change and that is the job/industry.

I’d like to thank everyone at Tekno, from the owner, all the managers, the designers, my teammates, and the awesome warehouse/shipping guys. I will miss seeing that my order is literally shipped minutes after I place it. We worked hard, we all learned things together, and we had some great successes together. Winning the Reedy Race was INCREDIBLE, a moment I will never forget! I did my best to represent the brand well and offer my services the best I could, and I’m happy with the mark I left at Tekno!

On to new challenges and a new journey ahead! Change is always happening in life, and it’s exciting to embrace it. I will be continuing on with my racing career in 2023 and years to come. I had some very good and exciting opportunities present themselves to me, I can’t wait to share them to you all. Thank you to all the people that support me, you all mean a lot to me. It’s incredible to read all the positive and kind words, you guys probably don’t realize how much they are appreciated.
